Better Off Ted! [Violet Group]

Ted wasn't sure how he got to this side. He didn't usually come over here. He preferred to stay at home and sleep or something. It was much less stressful. But something about the thick smell of syrups and sodas made him crawl out of his den and keep following it. He'd had to dig his way through to the other side at some point. It wasn't hard. Very few things were hard for Ted. It was why he was bored so much. All he had on his mind was the intense smell of syrupy sodas. Ted liked sodas. Blood was basically like soda syrup, so he didn't mind snatching a few people and chomping them up as he crawled along the ground.

 

"Oh Soooooodaaaaa! Oh Sooooooooooodaaaaa!"

 

He yelled to the festival, which had suddenly gotten very screamy. Ted didn't like screaming. He didn't like most loud noises. It's why he stayed home most of the time. But tonight, it was all about soda....

It started with a shaking, and a sound like the earth ripping apart. At first it seemed like a normal, if ill timed phenomenon. Then a massive claw the size of two buses forced its way out of the ground. And with it came some noxious smelling gas that caused all the shoppers in the immediate area to drop to the ground on contact. The digging only intensified until a mammoth creature rose from a pit the size of a city block. The thing was all spindly limbs and whipping, cracking tails, except for a large, glowing crystal like protrusion on its back that had an eerie violet-pink tint. It beat, almost like a heart. It moved low to the ground, seeming to prefer to stay in and around the sickly grey particles that floated around it. It swung its head from side to side, and every now an again it's mouth would open, a four way segmented jaw full of small tentacles that would reach out, grab a victim, and pull them in before snapping shut in a spray of blood. It swung its head from side to side, as if sniffing the air for something. Every now and again it would let out a garbled noise, almost like gargling, if it was a high pitched, painful gargling that also sounded like you were in pain.

 

"Ao Ulululululululululu! Ao Ululululululululu!"

 

People were panicking, fleeing in every direction, if they could get there before they fell unconscious, anyways.

Kaneki was having a relatively mellow evening, a successful day that ended up with some additional rewards on top of his contract that had made it so celebratory worthy; nothing like getting a bonus and having some top shelf booze afterwards. As he grabbed the bottle to fill his shot glass one more time, all the glasses on the bartop , and the ground beenath them shook, wave after wave increasing in power and moise until something large broke and crashed through it. Taking one final swig from his bottle, he rushed outside, there were several pyres of smoke rising into the air from a few streets over, his feet already loaded with chakra, he pivoted off the side of the nearby building and began scaling scross the roof tops headed in the direction of whatever was causing such a mess.

As he gazed downwards upon the source of the devastation, Kaneki could hardly believe his eyes, it seemed to be some kind of mutated dog, or at least part dog, it was sized big enough to be comparable to the highest level of summons one can produce, Kaneki knew there had to be other shinobi in the area that would likely be arriving in seconds to face off against this creature, and he was not one to be patient when it comes to fighting, he readied his chakra pools and began going through the various most likely battle scenarios, always best to have a plan A through F at least before blitzing your way into a battle unprepared. 

 

Kaneki began molding his chakra through his body, growing a layered bone shield beneath the skin, and having several spikes come out through it for added durability and making an offensive from a defensive was never a bad thing, as he stopped hearing that all too familiar sound of bones growing beeneath his skin, he grabbed two kunais from his thigh pouch one in each hand, and got down on ground level with the behemoth, an almost maniacal smirk forced its way across the boys lips. 

 

"Finally someone that will pose a true challenge, or someTHING shall I say. Lets have some fun you mangy beast."

The Kaguya were the lost and forgotten child of the Mother of All Things; Otsutsuki Kaguya. Even bearing her name, they were disregarded in the likes of the Hyuuga, the Uchiha and the Senju as the four decedants of Kaguya. When stripped of mythical eyes and sagely energies, the last ramining genetic boon Kaguya gave her children was her own body. Not every member of the Kaguya clan unlocks their birthright, but due to their ferocity and unmistakable prowess, those who do not are not remembered. Those that do not find other ways of being deadly. The Dead Bone Pulse allows for the manipulations of one's own bones. By fusing the calcium in their bones with chakra, they are able to remove and regrow their macabre bones. Due to this, the physiology of every Kaguya is not like the typical human, making medical intervention extremely difficult. Many had sought to scientifically understand the Kaguya but few efforts proved successful. For this reason it was thought they became near extinct: the family knew only to break, not to mend. The membersi n Kirigakure were all but nothing for generations saved only by the Bloody Mists unlikely ally, the Water Daimyo. Due to the Shodai Kyoukage that the Kaguya were reborn in Otogakure. Today these gardners continue to fill the earth with blood.

Immortal Vessel
Description: While not the most obvious ability of the Shikotsumyaku, the body of a Kaguya is given the innate ability to regenerate itself. It is most notable in its ability to regenerate the bones of the body, but over years of evolution their regeneration does not end at the bones. A Kaguya's skin may close in response to a wound, because of calcium deposits that rush towards the open site. With each break, cut and bruise, their bodies become more durable and is one of the many reasons the Kaguya were sought out by Orochimaru to become his next vessel.
Effect: While Shikotsumyaku is active the user will regenerate 3% (rounded up) of their total Health per turn per rank of this skill.

Bone Pulse Reaver
Description: The warriors of the Dead Bone Pulse gain a jolt to their fighting prowess when their bones come alive. The calcium in their bodies deposit along key points in their hands and feet and make blows against their opponents even mightier. The brute force of the Kaguya savages are nearly unparalleled, whereas typical fighters employ tactics, these ninja rely on brute force. Due to their strong bodies, the Kaguya often do not fight as teams. They often see themselves as armies of one and indestructible against any foe.
Effect: While Shikotsumyaku is active the user will gain +1.25x% (rounded up) Taijutsu per rank of this skill, where the value of x is equal to the level of the user.

Bone Sculpting
Description: The corner stone of the Kaguya legend lies in their ability to use their own bones as weapons in battle. Not only do they refuse to be without a weapon and backed into a corner, but the Kaguya bone weapons are versatile and may vary in terms of durability, might and ease of attack. As the body of the Kaguya becomes stronger, so too do their immortal bones. Any bone that is removed from the body immediately regenerates. The limb may have a delay before it is useful again, but a Kaguya battlemaster does not give their prey time to realize that.
Effect: The user may activate this skill as a Setup Phase action to begin to create a 'Bone Weapon'. A 'Bone Weapon' is a Medium Weapon with a level equal to x + (0.5xy) , rounded up. The value of x is equal to the user's level. The value of y is equal to the amount of Setup Phase actions spent creating this weapon, including the turn it was activated. Setup Phase actions used creating a 'Bone Weapon' do not need to be sequential, and may never exceed 5. As a free action in their Main Phase, the user may 'release' the 'Bone Weapon', ending its creation and equipping it. Upon 'releasing' the weapon, the user may spend levels according to the 'Level Economy' chart below to give the weapon additional effects. This weapon lasts until it is destroyed, until the end of battle, or if the bloodline is deactivated.

Blade Wrecker
Description: The weapons harvested out of their own bodies can be made stronger than any crafted steel. The bones of a Kaguya have been known to shatter swords and cleave chakra infused blades alike. This ability is what earned Shikotsumyaku the renown as one of the greatest taijutsu abilities.
Effect: Once per battle per rank in this skill the user may add the status effect 'Destroy Weapon' to a strike of an attack made with a 'Bone Crafted' weapon.

Level Economy
Rules: Level Economy allows a player to spend levels of their weapon upon 'release' to give the weapon additional effects. 'Bone Weapons' still follow the limitations of normal weapons, meaning they may not exceed level 100 or go below level 1. Keep this in mind when spending your Level Economy.
- 20 levels: The user may apply one rank of 'Sharpened Edge' or 'Lightened Craft' to their weapon.
- 20 levels: The user may apply one rank of 'Parry' or 'Defend' to their bone weapons.
- 30 levels: The user gains +5% to critical hit with this weapon. This may be purchased 6 times.

Description: The Dance of the Cypress is one of the least dance-like maneuvers in a Kaguya’s arsenal. The user will utilize their kekkei genkai to produce a subdermal layer of durable bone over a variable amount of their musculature, greatly increasing their durability. However, the process of forming such fine structures is not painless and results in many uneven twitches across the user’s body, resulting in its classification as a “dance”. Given the subdermal nature of this technique’s structures, the Kaguya’s regenerative qualities may occasionally repair damage sustained to the bone shielding.

Kaikashin Buyō

- A single Blossom Charge may be spent during the Main Phase to treat a Kaikashin Buyō technique as if it were a Weapon Technique made with a Medium [bone Blade] weapon that possesses the Razor Edge attribute. Like most kids his age, Kazuto had been at the festival enjoying games, rides, and snacks. He even had a soda of his own. It was a pumpkin flavored one that a short guy in a hawker's outfit had proclaimed would be the best soda he'd ever drank. Kazuto just wasn't so sure he agreed. Pumpkin wasn't that great a flavor, and around this time of year it was in almost everything. He drank it all the same, just slowly and with a roll of his eyes with each sip. It wasn't really the worth the ryo he'd spent on it.

The boy forgot about the unpleasant soda when he felt the ground shake and heard the first screams of terror and agony. Being the person that he was, Kazuto's feet were already moving towards the sound of chaos before he was even aware of what was going on. He stopped dead in his tracks when he caught sight of the monstrous kaiju that took its time eating a couple of fleeing humans. "Oh... what the hell." The boy's blue eyes remained locked on the monster as he bit his thumb and made a quick series of handseals. "Summoning Technique!"

His hand slammed down onto the pavement and in a burst of smoke the boy was almost on the same level as the monster. "Hello Gamaken!" Kazuto said, peeking over into his toad-friend's eye. It always paid to be polite to the big, purple reptile. Gamaken nodded to the boy and made up the gap between the monster and the themselves. He wasn't going to get any further into this festival.

Kazuto looked down into his hand. He still had a soda... which he immediately tossed right at the massive creature's face. "Shut up about it already, y'know!"

Academy Students begin play with 2 JP and gain 1 JP at level U3, and U1, while they begin play with 1SP and gain 1 SP at level U2. Progression between levels U4 and 0 requires 200 Experience per level. Upon reaching level 0, the Academy Student must pass an exam to become a Genin, upon completion they receive an additional 1 SP and 2 JP as a rank bonus. Academy Students may not train by themselves for experience, and may not purchase techniques above their rank (Unless permissible by Death Bonus). Description: Possessors of young minds and fruitful imaginations, Academy Students are perhaps one of the only pure things about the Shinobi world. They know little of bloodshed or strife, and only see their superiors as radiant heroes. Often, these young boys and girls are disillusioned and lead astray by dreams of fame and power; they believe that a Shinobi life is one of pure glory, and that freedom from all their suffering is but a Jutsu away. As expected, these young children have poor strength and chakra manipulation, but are willing to learn. Their dreams often turn them into willing, if not impossibly overbearing students.

Effect: Attack strikes that target a character with this skill in a Team Battle have their Chance to Hit increased by 7%.
Description: Some people just don't fit in. It may be the way that they look, talk, or, in some cases, smell. For whatever reason, somebody with this skill finds it difficult to blend in with the crowd.

• Compulsive Catchphrase [Y'know]
Effect: Characters with this skill must say their catch phrase at least once every 50 spoken words or once every 800 written words, whichever comes first. This count is kept between posts. If the character fails to meet this requirement they take a -5% reduction to all of their non-tank stats for the rest of the day, cumulative. This reduction lasts for the rest of the day in character or at least two (2) days in real life, which ever is longer. The chosen phrase must be at least one word.
Description: The character has a compulsive habit to repeat the same catch phrase over and over multiple times a day. It is borderline disease in nature, and if the character does not, or is unable to say the catch phrase so often, their morale drops subconsciously, leaving them considerably weaker. Dattebayo.

• Defender
Effect: During a character with this skill's turn, if a non-clone ally is the target of an unresolved attack that did not target the user as well, this character takes the attack instead. This character may only apply 50% of their total defensive modifiers. Only triggers once per battle per ally.
Description: A defender is a person who refuses to allow injury or death to effect those he cares about. Whether through personal tragedy, or powerful moral compass, a defender has gained the desire to protect those dear to them, and will do anything in their power to protect those lives.

• Lonely
Effect: Characters with this skill reduce Experience gained when training alone by 50%. Characters with this skill may not take missions alone.
Description: Some people can go through life relying only on their own strength of will, facing off against the world by themselves. Others, like those with this skill, are eternally desperate for companionship and find the idea of operating on their own as demoralizing as they do terrifying. They feel a constant, codependent need for a companion, or something like it that they can see, feel, and touch in order to cope with everyday life, finding even antagonistic company preferable to isolation. While these individuals often have a solid grasp of teamwork, they are often woefully unprepared for situations in which they must act by themselves for an extended period of time.

• Uzushio No Chōjū Life Force - Rank Three
Effect: Characters with this skill permanently gain 100 Health per rank in this skill. Additionally, characters with this skill do not begin to suffer negative effects of aging until they reach the age of 100.
Description: Being descended from those who called Uzushiogakure their home, the Uzumaki clan is well-known for their incredibly powerful life force. Very rarely do Uzumaki suffer from common illnesses, and their bodies are able to sustain much more punishment than the usual ninja. Many members of the clan live well beyond what is normal for most ninja, sometimes up to or even exceeding thirteen decades.
Restrictions: Ranks of the following skills may be purchased once every 25 levels.

Description: The Mokuton is as legends say a bloodline that stems from one most ancient and elusive. The Rikudō Sennin had two sons. The eldest was said to have been born with the gift of the Sennin's eyes, and his younger son, Ashura, with the spirit of determination, force of will, and indomitable energy of his father. The younger son went on to found the Senju clan. Senju who now command the powers of the Mokuton kekkei genkai also burst with the overwhelming energy of Ōtsutsuki Ashura.

Description: Kazuto's standard, black hitai-ate, bearing the mark of Konohagakure. This headband was not the one he received during his graduation from the academy, and is actually the forehead protector that his mother wore when she was a genin. The plate with the village insignia on its face is made of stout steel, and the fabric of the headband is soft and comfortable. Most of all though, it reminds Kazuto of his mother.

Description: The flak jacket worn by Uzumaki that denote the young shinobi's standing a chunin within his village is an exceptional piece of equipment despite its rather average appearance. Like most of the armored vests that make up the standard uniform of Konohagakure, Kazuto's jacket is a drab greenish color. What isn't obvious though is the additional enhancements that have been made to the armor. Plating of a lighter than usual material has been added to the armor to reduce encumbrance while increasing defense. Only a single token makes the Uzumaki boy's armor stand out from the norm; a lightning bolt shaped piece of metal sticking through the front of the fabric like a pin. The bauble marks his victory at the Chunin Selection Exams in Kumogakure (It was originally intended to be worn on the hand, but he disliked the feel and had to get creative with it.).

Description: These gauntlets were once the hands that strangled and stole. They instilled terror and were used for harm by Usaka Kouji. Made a strong, grey metal these gloves have an aversion to fire and basic chakra along with being equipped with a ninjutsu amplifier. On the backs of there hands now sits a symbol of the Leaf, proudly displayed for all the see. The sennin yawned as he sat at the edge of the roof, staring into the night sky. While many had been enjoying the festivities through drinking the night away, partying, or pursuing personal pleasures; Sato found himself reflecting about the past. More so, thinking of how he could apologize to Sonira after upsetting her during the evening. "I could maybe take her out to dinner at some point to her favorite restaurant, get her some flowers? She likes lilies. Ugh, I'm such a-" His blue eyes gazed out into the distance as something caught his attention through movement and sound. 

 

Sato stood up as the sounds of screams continued to escalate and increase in number, crowds of people running the opposite direction. "A yokai?" The creature seemed different than a yokai, yet from what Sato seemed to decipher, it screamed out that it wanted...soda? "Damn, of all things to deal with right now." The sennin was a bit furious at the fact that now he had to deal with this obnoxious creature that was hellbent on causing destruction for the sake of a soft drink. The familiar sound of lightning began to crackle around his body, within seconds lightning shrouded around the young man. He felt his nerves tingle with each movement of his body. "Alright, let's see what's that thing is about." Heading straight into the storm, it was time to fight the beast.

Kaminari Tainai - Living Battery
The body of a Senuskai clan shinobi is different than that of the average shinobi. The natural resistance towards the lightning element is not the only ability of the Kaminari Tainai, as the bloodline and the genetic make-up of the Senuskai extend further as it reacts with any lightning particles within the area. As lightning techniques are used throughout the battle, leftover lightning particles are broken down and absorbed by the body. These particles are stored separately within the body in specialized cells and similar to a battery, the wielder is able to release the stored lightning and utilize it in whatever manner they wish.
Effect: The wielder of this skill gains a separate stat known as 'Static Energy'. For each rank in this skill: Every time the wielder of this skill uses a [Lightning] tag ninjutsu or is hit by a [Lightning] tag ninjutsu, 10% of the ninjutsu's base chakra cost is added as Static Energy into the Static Energy stat. Static Energy gained this way can be used to pay for basic attacks, weapon attacks, and skills or techniques that would require either chakra or stamina to use. Ranks may only be taken every 20 levels. Static Energy statistic can not exceed 50% of the user's total chakra statistic.

Description: A customized vest which Sato had specifically made for him. Similar to the Kumogakure Vest of the old, this vest is pure black. Above the left breast pocket are five gold stars, connected together to form a pentagonal shape. The five stars represent Sato's rank as the captain of B.O.L.T.S. On the back of the vest is the symbol of Kumogakure, imprinted in gold. Specially made for defensive purposes, this vest reduces the amount of damage one takes and the lightweight material allows for slightly faster movement. In order to ensure that this vest provided an all around defense, Sato had this vest imprinted with chakra that flowed around his body in order to provide a better mental defense against genjutsu.

Their reflexes are attuned to the point where even the slightest bit of aggression from an opponent and it's users are able to dodge any incoming attack without much effort.

Junsei's flowers were a hit at the festival. He had spent weeks growing them the slow way to ensure they survived long enough to actually be of any value. Moon lilies he called them. It was a gimmick, but it brought in the dough just fine. He was actually enjoying the evening very much from his little vendor's booth. He'd sold through almost all of his wares when a strange rumbling came from beneath him. He first though it may have been an earthquake, but it seemed to be moving nearer and getting stronger. The soldier in him sensed danger. He threw his arms out and began to scream "EVERYONE RUN!" But only half of his words came through before the ground opened up just in in front of where he was.

 

First came the thick burning mist of horrid smell. He knew better than it in, but he couldn't help but gasp as the very earth beneath the festival opened up to reveal a monster of gargantuan size. A large crystal like structure on it's back emanated an eerie glow, but the worst part was what started happening. Chaos and panic broke out among the festival attendees as the creature's segmented jaw lowered to the ground, released a swarm of tentacles and began to slurp victims to it's mouth and bite into their fleshy bodies. Blood began to fly in every direction and an anger rose up in Junsei. He went to move forward, but already a pale man sprouted bones from his body had addressed the behemoth, a younger boy had throw something it's face and another man, wreathed in electricity arrived on the scene. It appeared that the festival had protection after all.

 

Junsei knew he wasn't offensively conditioned, but ultimately, his strength lied in support and now with three others staring down the beast, Junsei took his place among the ranks. "I dunno who y'all are, but I'm a medic, so... yeah." It wasn't the coolest thing to say, but right now, Junsei was so terrified he was glad to be able to speak at all. The boy bit into his finger and summoned a giant toad. Junsei had to smile, just a little. It looked like he wan't the only one with a summon to call forth. However, he needed a little cover first.

 

The Suna Jounin brought his hands together and made a seal he had learned in the Academy, but as he was about to release the chakra for the technique, he inhaled a large amount of the miasma. Instantly, his lungs felt as if they had been set aflame. They burned and he could do nothing but double over and hack for a moment. Waving his hand behind him as if to say 'Oh don't mind me.' Finally, after a moment, he was able to regain his composure. 

 

He needed to get rid of the miasma that clung to the air like a disease. But he also needed to make sure he could help these strangers against the behemoth. He argued with himself for a second, unable to decide before grunting and biting his thumb. As the blood ran down his hand he formed several seals and laid his hands on the ground. With a giant puff of smoke, a large portion of Katuyu, the medical slug, appeared to help out.

Ted was rudely interrupted by a group of ne'er do wells suddenly appearing. Why would anyone yell at a guy just for looking for some soda? They all seemed to want to insult him, and a couple of them started looking very scary. Bones and electricity were cackling in his face. Ted did not like it. He took a step back, crushing some cart underfoot that did not have soda in it, and he whipped his head up just in time to see a large frog and some sluglike thing pop into being. The frog was big, but not as big as he was, but the cute kid on top chucked something at him that smelled like...

 

"SODA!"

 

The beast roared, his jaw segmenting to catch the can and happily munch on it, metal and all. The miasma still radiated from him, and people were still running in every direction, but Ted seemed entirely unconcerned for the moment, happily enjoying his snack. If anything, he seemed to be staring more ta Kauzto, as if hoping he had more soda hidden inside his giant frog. That's what frogs were for right? Hiding large amounts of soda?

Kaneki was practically choking on the disgusting stench that filled the air, he had to resist the urge to gag it was so foul. This yokai had one hell of an obsession with soda...something that was pretty interesting for a yokai to be addicted to, soda of all things? Luckily one of the guys that just showed up to also fight this thing, pretty much confirmed that after he and another person began summoning creatures to the battlefield, summoners, that was something Kaneki had never seen first hand before. The creatures they brought forth were gigantic, much bigger than he had been lead to believe, but there was no time to be marveling at their creations, there  was blood to be spilled, and damage to be done. Not knowing much about the creature, he figured a quick singular blow taijutsu maneuver would be the best way to test the waters so to speak. This technique revolved around nothing more than swift movement, and a forceful blow to the gut, which despite this things gut being a gaping teeth lined maw, he could definitely make it an uppercut like move and catch it from beneath him, knowing earth style it was effortless to get ones body underground to attack from below. 

 

Bursting through the ground slamming his knee with full force towards the jaw of the creature.

Kaneki took his shot, leaping at the gargantuan behemoth. But he betrayed his own action by yelling, which alerted Ted to his position. As he flew upwards, Ted scuttled sideways on his many arms and tails, and the bone-clad warrior sailed beyond him, a clean, clear miss thanks to his warning. The many-appendaged creature looked confused at his shout, and looked expectantly at his soda-supplier atop his toad, as if nervous to look away and miss the frog revealing its supply of soda.

 

"What did you 'got' me? Was it soda? Candy at least? You can slow down and just hand it to me. Ooooh! Or even better! Just drop it in my mouth! Here!"

 

Eager to collect whatever soda Kaneki had, the monster reared around and launched a parade of tentacles at him, eager to swallow Kaneki and whatever gift he had whole. The tentacles emerged from his split-jawed mouth, seeking to wrap Kaneki's arms and legs up and haul him to his inevitable death. Which would be delicious, surely.

The sennin frowned as he neared the source of the calamity, his eyes taking note of the strange miasma that filled the area. It was clear that this was not a creature of ordinary power, ranging close to the power of the bijuu, perhaps? Sato dismissed the thought from his head as he landed on a nearby rooftop. The creature was large, as Sato was well within striking distance of the creature. Others had appeared near the creature to combat it, with one already attacking it, just as the sennin arrived. "Well, hopefully I'm not too late for this party." He called out towards the others, as the lightning cloak crackled and flickered around him. It was vital that they take the creature down as soon as possible to avoid any more deaths and property damage. However, would they be able to strike the creature with enough force to take it down? 


"If any of you can hit it with techniques that immobilize it, we'll have a better chance of taking it down. I can imagine that hide or skin of his is pretty though, so piercing through that would be nice." The latter half of his statement was an assumption, however this was not his first time fighting large creatures. Creatures such as these always had some trick up their sleeves or it was going to be extremely difficult to break through it's skin. With a burst of speed, Sato dashed towards the creature, attempting to discover a weakness. For now, until they discovered a weak point on the creature or picked up it's mannerisms, it was best to hit it hard and fast. With a flicker towards the side of the creature's neck, Sato launched several open palm strikes, with the final strikes ending with a finger jab in order to break through the creature's skin.

Kaminari Tainai - Living Battery
The body of a Senuskai clan shinobi is different than that of the average shinobi. The natural resistance towards the lightning element is not the only ability of the Kaminari Tainai, as the bloodline and the genetic make-up of the Senuskai extend further as it reacts with any lightning particles within the area. As lightning techniques are used throughout the battle, leftover lightning particles are broken down and absorbed by the body. These particles are stored separately within the body in specialized cells and similar to a battery, the wielder is able to release the stored lightning and utilize it in whatever manner they wish.
Effect: The wielder of this skill gains a separate stat known as 'Static Energy'. For each rank in this skill: Every time the wielder of this skill uses a [Lightning] tag ninjutsu or is hit by a [Lightning] tag ninjutsu, 10% of the ninjutsu's base chakra cost is added as Static Energy into the Static Energy stat. Static Energy gained this way can be used to pay for basic attacks, weapon attacks, and skills or techniques that would require either chakra or stamina to use. Gamaken was a very polite toad, and his duty as given to him by the Great Toad Sage himself was to protect those in need. Naturally, Ken was quick to launch himself in the way of the beast's powerful tentacles. The Kaguya was a stranger, but if he fought to stop the same foe as his summoner, Gamaken would consider him a friend all the same.

In a single, great leap the toad was in front of Kaneki, and the monstrous beast's tentacles were constricting around his limbs. Gamaken was a seasoned warrior though. If he was trapped up in the monster's grip, then the monster was also trapped up within his own proximity. Ken opened his mouth and his titanic tongue shot forward in hopes of wrapping around the enemy's legs. If he could bind the beast to himself then there was little chance that it could hurt his allies, and little chance that it could escape his attacks.

 

At least that had been his train of thought before the choking miasma began to affect him. His mind clouded over, and it was a strain to keep his tongue out of his mouth. He knew he had a reason to be fighting... but what was it again?

Gamaken's immense jump propelled his small, blonde summoner high into the air. The force launched him clear of the putrid haze that covered the battlefield just long enough for him to take a few deep breaths and clear his head of the fog's effect. As he hit his apex, Kazuto glanced back down to the battlefield below. He couldn't see the other people, but he could make out the larger forms of Ken and the monster locked in battle. It looked like if Gamaken got pulled any closer her would be seriously hurt.

"Aha, I got it." He said to himself with a little grin. The Uzumaki boy made a single handseal, the tiger, and focused his chakra into a technique that was commonly used by the ANBU to debilitate and trap enemies without having to kill them. "Temporary Paralysis Technique." He said, taking a deep breath and hoping that this sort of monster wasn't immune to the effects of the jutsu.

Katsuyu was immediately aware that this was a scenario in which lives hung in the balance. Her body took on a rigid form as she breathed in the thick toxic layer of the smog that came with the creature. Her mind swam and for a moment, she wasn't sure which one was her summoner. She just saw small creatures with too many limbs. Her head swam but with a quick shake she was able to pull herself back together long enough to recognize the young Hanamajo that summoned her. Lowering her head and holding her breath, she touched the young man and imparted an amount of chakra onto him. 

 

It would help protect him from the miasma and remain clear headed. She did not have the means to remove the toxic cloud, but she did what she could help Junsei do it. Even through the haze of her mind, she looked to see a familiar toady face, fending off the clutches of the large creature. "Hold on a little longer, Gamaken-san!" She called out to her friend. The Toads and Katsuyu had long been allies, so it was small relief to find an ally here.

Junsei would not be bested a second time by the thick noxious fumes that hung in the air. As Katsuyu made contact with him, he could feel her chakra pass into him. He felt more secure now, sure of the seals he made as he held his breath. With the final seal released, Wind chakra gathered around his hand and he pulled it back, opening it flat. With a grunt, Junsei shoved his arm forward with as much strength as he could muster. 

 

The wind flew from his hand as it it longed to be a tornado. It blew through the entire area picking up debris and throwing it to the wayside. It began to circle around them making a second pass. As it drew the thick toxic fog away from them, it was strong enough to split even the clouds above the group. Bright stars shined through the now clear heavens and the beast was revealed in the light of a very full moon. Finally, with the miasma removed, Junsei let out his breath and sucked in the fresh clean air. Even the smell was not as bad as it had been.

Staying near the back watching the battle unfold, it was not that he was scared of combat or anything like that, he was merely taking in all the data around him, it was necessary to build an effective strategy against their foe, data data data, you cannot make bricks without clay. The medic of the group certainly had some skills, summoning one of the most widely known summons there is, Katsuyu, Tsunades medic summon. Though Kazuto summoned Gamaken, one of the legendary toads, not the most famous of them, but definitely one of the most powerful, he summoned him just in the nick of time to intercept an attack that was about to hit Kaneki head on, he thanked the giant toad for the save, "Holy shit thanks man! I got too tunnel visioned into my strat, time for the game face!" His next move would require some setup, moving his chakra to various points all over his by, he began growing jagged curved sharp rib bones all over his chest arms and legs, anyone that came into contact with his body would be shredded like a cheese greater.

Description: Willows possess a great inherent bit of flexibility, and so do the masters of the Kaguya style. Effect: Allows for the accumulation of “Blossom” charges. Ted's target...changed? He'd been trying to eat the spiky one, but suddenly a slimy, toady one was wrapped in his tongue. Gross! He didn't want to taste toad! He wanted Soda! The ninja's fingers slammed home into the giant neck of the monster, who roared in pain and staggered back, but didn't let go of the poor frog. Ted looked supremely confused for a moment before he started wretching like he'd been punched. Which he had been but not in any way that aught to make him....begin vomiting large amounts of liquid onto the ground.

It was more durable than some of the yokai he had encountered, however things could always be broken down. He grinned as he came to a sliding stop, the lightning aura, crackling around him. Kaminari Tainai - Living Battery
The body of a Senuskai clan shinobi is different than that of the average shinobi. The natural resistance towards the lightning element is not the only ability of the Kaminari Tainai, as the bloodline and the genetic make-up of the Senuskai extend further as it reacts with any lightning particles within the area. As lightning techniques are used throughout the battle, leftover lightning particles are broken down and absorbed by the body. These particles are stored separately within the body in specialized cells and similar to a battery, the wielder is able to release the stored lightning and utilize it in whatever manner they wish.
Effect: The wielder of this skill gains a separate stat known as 'Static Energy'. For each rank in this skill: Every time the wielder of this skill uses a [Lightning] tag ninjutsu or is hit by a [Lightning] tag ninjutsu, 10% of the ninjutsu's base chakra cost is added as Static Energy into the Static Energy stat. Static Energy gained this way can be used to pay for basic attacks, weapon attacks, and skills or techniques that would require either chakra or stamina to use. Ranks may only be taken every 20 levels. Static Energy statistic can not exceed 50% of the user's total chakra statistic.

With his rib cage duplicated and spiked in every direction, there was one technique he could use to maximize the effectiveness of the bone armor, the dance of the larch should be able to tear a hole in this ugly fuck big enough to maybe clip an artery and deal some real damage, or at least as much as possible anyways. The key to the success of this technique was going to be Kanekis speed and agility, one wrong movement or slowed response and he could be looking at significant taijutsu damage if this thing decided to throw a hay maker in retaliation should he somehow miss. Charging the soles of his feet up with chakra, and then creating another 10 bones sticking out from his chest and back as he charged his target, he spun leaping into the air twisting fast enough to shred flesh like a hot knife through butter. "Cover me guys!" The creature began spewing acid like liquid onto the field, sending smoke and the foul smell of chemicals into the air, practically choking on his own breath.

Kaikashin Buyō
Effect: Allows for the accumulation of “Blossom” charges. A Blossom charge is generated whenever a Kaikashin Buyō technique successfully strikes its target and whenever Shikotsumyaku: Honeokori is utilized to create a weapon in the Setup Phase, though a charge is only granted for the first weapon made. A Blossom charge is lost whenever this character successfully Blocks an attack, or when a weapon created with Honeokori is destroyed. Blossom charges are utilized in the following ways:

These shinobi are the intimidating and aggressive bruisers who dominate the battlefield. Their attacks, perhaps not as subtle as other fighters, tend to be impressively strong.

"All warfare is based on deception."
The player can choose to activate or deactivate one of the following tactics during battle in their Setup Phase. The chosen tactic remains in effect until the player chooses to deactivate it, or activates another tactic. Only attainable through 'Path of the Tactician'.

- Tactics; Blitz: The user designates a single opponent when activating this tactic. The user and the members of their team gain a 10% chance to hit on the designated opponent. The Tactician and their allies lose 5% on all dodge rolls.
- Tactics; Fortification: The user and the members of their team may gain +15 to their block range.
- Tactics; Bait and Bleed: The user declares a member of their team as the target of this effect. Whenever an opponent attacks the designated target, the next attack on that opponent has a 50% chance to be a critical hit. May only be used in Team Battles.

Was it a good thing or a bad thing to be such an inconvenience to a gargantuan monster that it decided to chuck a massive toad at you? Junsei couldn't tell, but he knew that it was happen at that very moment. The size of the summon made it almost impossible to outrun, so Junsei did the only thing he could think of. His hand flew up in front of his body sprouting what seemed to be thousands of flowers. They stemmed from his flesh on vines that appeared almost instantly. He had become enveloped by a thick wall of multicolored petals just in time to soften the blow of a multi-ton toad to slam into him. Junsei and the wall of flowers were pushed back a good distance, but with minimal damage to himself, he wasn't sure about the frog. 

 

Coughing through the dust in the air, Junsei jumped over the hulking amphibian and put himself back into the fray. His own injuries were not severe enough to illicit medical attention and it seemed, aside from maybe Gamaken, none of the others needed it either. Junsei knew his strengths did not lie in physical offense, so he threw his support the only way he knew how. With illusion. Throwing together the seals, Junsei created the image of thick, red and yellow vines erupting from the ground. Large enough to ensnare even a creature as large as Ted, it would cause a moment of hesitation that the other ninjas would be able to take advantage of... if it worked. Junsei wasn't sure genjutsu would even work against a beast like this. It was so different, so foreign. Regardless, he had to help and if it worked, this would give everyone their best shot at winning.

Ted was angry that his toad didn't even leave a red smear on the ground! That flower kid was throwing off his groove! How was he supposed to drink delicious soda when the poor kid was not dying correctly!? Okay, admittedl,y dying and soda had nothing to do with each other, but Ted was determined that Junsei was ruining his entire night.

 

Speaking of which...

 

"GONG! GONG! GONG! GONG!

 

The clock began to toll a booming, rolling gong. The sound echoed forth from seemingly everywhere, but Ted was the only one who knew what it meant. 

 

"Oh rats! You guys! We ran out of time! Now I can't have any soda!!!"

 

Like a petulant child, the betentacled, many limbed monster began to trudge back to the hole he'd made in the ground. He grumbled and mumbled the whole time about how it wasn't fair. How he ran out of time because it was stupid February instead of October. How these guys never would've beaten him if there wasn't a time limit. There was a plague of injustices against monster kind, and the lack of sugary sweets in the upside-down was definitely one of them.

 

But as soon as the monster had finished crawling inside his little hole, a weird, almost spider-web like coating grew to shut off the opening. The only sign that Ted had even been present was the wanton destruction, and the pile of vomit, inside which there actually appeared to have been a few bags of candy. If you dare to touch them now.
