Physical Description:

Before you stand a tall man, with brown hair that falls just over the face. He has a whole array of different outfits, but clearly has a sense of style. In fact, you would be safe to say he is quite the fashionista. Most of his clothing however has one commonality, it's left open down the middle, showing off his chiseled abdomen and chest. He has a strong good physique and during summer he carries a healthy tan.

His hazel ruby eyes are fairly unique, and something that often begets attention. He doesn't know where he has got them from, most likely a genetic mutation. But he can't complain. Along his chest on the left side is a small scar that's clearly done by some sort of knife. But otherwise his skin is fair and mostly undamaged. Keichi is quite fond of accessories. He can often be found wearing necklaces, flashy belts and other accessories. The more extravagant the better!

[Pending creation of puppet.] His puppet Mandoreku is the shape of a traditonal Japanese dragon. Long and thin, made of wood. With forearms and claws, a long slithering body.. with small hind legs. While that's his natural form the pieces can all be separated and shifted to make him look somewhat ike a human, if his body is shrouded with a piece of rag and a cowl. Since the head remains a dragon head. A henge can also do wonders. In his normal form, Mandoreku has the tendency to coil up around Keichi like a snake. With his head resting on Keichi's shoulder.

Persona

""The chemist who can extract from his heart's elements compassion, respect, longing, patience, regret, surprise, and forgiveness and compound them into one can create that atom which is called love.""

He loves what he does and does what he loves. Keichi enjoys drinking, eating spicy (new) things, exploring and adventuring. Other things he loves are puppets for obvious reasons, and has a serious dragon obsession. Mostly to do with his family name.

Keichi loved woodcarving and craftsmanship. And has a penchant for chemistry. Spending a lot of his time with a simple carving knife and pieces of wood making small, often mechanic-animals he can manipulate via Kugutsu.

Background

Ryu Keichi was born in the puppeteers clan collection. Both his parents were nin. And effectively, they both perished during their work. Keichi himself was an orphan. But the damaged heart of a small child losing his parents left him in a twilight of switching foster families that Suna tried to provide. Running away or causing too much domestic trouble to stay. Eventually he was given away to an orphanage a little ways outside of Suna. A monastery. Living among monks. Who gave him the space to develop his abilities, spiritual guidance and most importantly, shelter. Teaching Keichi to deal with the pain and develop himself in a positive way.

Keichi spent most of his youth growing up out of place however. He was no monk at heart. And the monks respected the way he manifested himself. Keichi was interested in clothing. Crafting. Weaponry and Chakra. He soon found out he could use chakra strings for his ability, and found himself quite adapt at manufacturing hidden weapons, and eventually full small creations. His favorite and current puppet prototype Mandoreku, made from very pliable wood, treated with fire resistant chemicals. This puppet is still under construction. And will be one of his first greater creations, and the only one he keeps. It's been a project spanning multiple years that is about to come to it's fruition.

During the time of the wars. The monks declared themselves neutral with permission from the Daimyo. Avoiding most of the conflict and living mostly in isolation of their monastery. Living off the occasional food tribute from the local population as well as home-grown crops.

Keichi left the monestary when he turned seventeen. Because unfortunately. Asides from liking all those things many monks accepted. Keichi also liked boys. And while the older monks weren't worried about his orientation. The others boys were. Frequent fights and bullying prompted them to make a decision with Keichi. One for him to make his own way in the world. He wasn't made to spend his entire life in the monastery anyways. So they send an envoy to Suna, asking if they were willing to take the seventeen year old in by giving him a house.

Keichi felt like a stranger at home. The war with Kumo just ended. But there was still violence. He wanted to see what all this village commotion was about. More importantly, he wanted to find a teacher in his puppet jutsu. He knew it was his families, the monks had told him. He just didn't know where to go look for them!

Keichi spent his youth doing odd jobs and travelling when he found that most puppeteers were very exclusionary. He might share their ability. It wasn't easy to find someone who wanted to share their master craftsmanship. So for now. Keichi was made to fend for himself. He spent his time alone developing his abilities. And continuing to collect parts for Mandoreku. Until he was 20 and decided to petition Sunagakure to bestow upon him the rank of Genin. Giving him access to official training material. He passed, and now officially calls himself a Suna nin. Still eagerly looking for someone to teach him the fine prints of being a puppeteer.

Description: Some shinobi are fanatically loyal to their village, and would never consider doing any work on the side, or any work without being ordered to. Other shinobi are happy to be busy, and actively look for 'side-jobs', this is also true of “PC” who were not affiliated with a hidden village in the first place or are from a now destroyed hidden village or organization.

Cost: -1

Freelancer | 1

Effect: Whenever you would gain money, you may gain an additional $3 for every $10 you are given.

They have less 'overhead', and therefore keep a bigger cut of the cash they make.

Cost: -2

Investor | 5

Effect: For every 1000 words written IC, roll a d11, and multiply it by x, where x is your rank in this skill. Gain the resulting roll in money. Cost: -1 and $200 per rank, 10 ranks, ranks may be taken in exception of the 'one rank per 5 levels' rule.

Description: You see the benefits in long term investment, whether it be in business or other ventures.

Overall, your character looks great. Just a few things

Appearance and Personality

Your appearance section is missing these

-Height: (How tall your character is)
-Weight: (How much your character weighs)
-Hair Color: (What color your character's hair is)
-Eye Color: (What color your character's eyes are/eye is/thought to be)

and for personality, while not needed (you don't have to add them), it's a nice way to flesh out your character ^_^

Stats

Your stats all check out, however I'd just like to offer some advice. All of the offensive stats have modifiers that work off of 20s, therefore it's best to have stats in increments of 20s. Your taijutsu is at 30, and while it's not a big deal, the modifiers will be the same as if it was at 20. So the extra 10 points can go somewhere or you can add another 10 points.

Skills

Your skills gain says 6, but it should be 5.

History

I like his history, it's neat. The only thing is, since he was alive during the NCIA invasion and occupation, what did he do during then? Did the monks go into hiding or move somewhere?

Thank you for the feedback. Fixed on all accounts. I'm leaving the tropes out. Because they are tropes. And I'd rather have personality be a bit more complex than that!

You have Path of the Puppeteer listed as -4 SP in your SP expenditure log for some reason. Paths are only -1.

You have 3 JP listed as expentitures when you are really at -4, as the Puppet technique is 4 jp.

Thank you! made fixes accordingly! :)
