Her parents, being scientists employed for Kumogakure, were always busy. So, at a young age, they taught her how to think logically. After around the age of 8, they stopped caring for her as a daughter, and started treating her like a young student. Their trust in her was not enough to keep her level-headed. Soon, she found a group of delinquents who were happy to take on a smart, younger member. While they did no more than petty crimes and some schoolyard bullying, Kana soon found herself on the wrong side of it all. She knew the group was not the best influence on her, she could not help but feel like they were family, so instead of staying out in the streets with them, she invited her group to be at her home more and more often. They were uncomfortable with the idea at first, but after seeing how large her home was, they had no problems raiding the pantry and enjoying her pool. After about age Kana turned about 11, Kana and her friends slowly started to lose touch with each other, but she never lost her bad habits. Because of her incredibly impulsive decision-making, Kana failed her final gennin exam 3 times. The first time, her parents were incredibly disappointed. They felt that they had raised a smarter daughter, so they encouraged her to try again. The second time, Kana got incredibly nervous and instead of taking the exam, she chased around a goat in the mountains. When her parents found out, they were livid and spent the whole day scolding and lecturing her. When Kana finally admits that she did not take the exam because she was nervous, the hired a tutor so that she could confidently take the next exam. But because she rarely showed up for class, her tutor was of no real help. By the next year, she was nearing the age of 16 and most of those still taking the class was 12. She was frustrated with her progress, even though it was mostly her fault. She decided not to skip a single class this year, and ended up passing. Her parents, however, were unimpressed as she should have passed many years ago. Still, she wears her steel plated band proudly around her waist.

She stepped into the cabin, the warmth laid on her skin as she continued to shiver, adjusting to the warmer, cozier temperature. Inside was a man she did not recognize. Soon after she realized it, she heard many voices trail in behind her, all unrecognizable. The man who was already in the cabin seemed to be a man of high status, but she cared not. She did not know him and he did not know her. "My name is Mistletoe and I'm an alc- ... I work around here. What are you all doing way up North?" She brushed the snow off her shoes. She wanted to avoid giving the snow a chance to melt on her shoes. Then, she brushed off her shirt for the same reason. ((OOC: Jeez, I'm rusty at this. It's been years.))

"'fraid so, kid." She stood, short and childish with her back against the cabin. She kicked the snow beneath her; still fresh, the snow fell gently back onto the ground. She knocked on the door again, seeing as the kid wasn't wearing as much as he should. "The name's Mistletoe, and you have a talking dog." She wasn't surprised. She worked in a factory where a fat man in a red suit threw presents down the western world's chimneys on a vehicle pulled by flying grazing animals. She was usually cheerful around the holidays, but for some reason, she was not amused at her, the kid's, and the dog's situation. "Do whatever you want."
