  3. Techniques -Technique Ledger- Point Total: 4 Total Spent: Points Left: 4 Gains: 4 – Creation Expenditure: Jounin Taught: (You can learn up to 12 JP of jutsu from Jounin for free! Link to where you learned these techniques.) -Techniques- (We won't show you how to do your techniques, but we very much recommend that you organize them somehow. Some people do it by element, others do it by rank, others do it by nin/gen/tai type... Do it however you like. Some people even provide each section a new page, there's no wrong answer here. The three techniques listed below are free for all characters to start with, representative of the basics your ninja learned in their academy training) Body Replacement Technique | Kawarimi no Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: x Chakra Effect: This technique may be performed as a Free Action in the Response Phase following a failed dodge roll. When determining the cost of this technique "x" is equivalent to the cost of 1 basic attack or small weapon attack that the user failed to dodge. The damage and effects of that basic attack or small weapon attack are negated. The user may take no action in the Setup Phase or Main Phase on the turn this technique is used. This technique has a 5% chance to fail. This technique may be performed 1 time per battle. Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent's attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies. Points: Free Upon Creation Clone Technique | Bunshin no Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: 5x Chakra Effect: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique "x" is considered to be the number of "Clones" created by the user and may never be greater than 2. "Clones" have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. "Clones" are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every "Clone" on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle. Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshinjutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive. Points: Free Upon Creation Transformation Technique | Henge no Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Academy Student Cost: 10 Chakra Effect: During any situation in which a character with this technique would need to calculate their "Visibility Score", they may use this technique to reduce their "Visibility Score" by -10%. "Visibility Score" reduction caused by this technique may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). Description: The Transformation Technique is a time-honored staple of nearly every shinobi academy the world over. Its concept and execution are both extremely basic, making it a perfect training technique for young students. By molding chakra around their body, the user of the Transformation Jutsu is able to temporarily take on the physical characteristics of another person. Though the Henge no Jutsu rarely offers a perfect disguise, clever ninja have been using it for hundreds of years to confound their foes. Points: Free Upon Creation

  6. -User Data- Timezone: CST Posting: 1-3 times a week. Character Slot: 1 -Character Data- Name: Suizuma Mikimori Clan: Suizuma/Inner Heating System Gender: Male Date of Birth: September 8th Age: 14 Birthplace: Kirigakure Village: Kirigakure no Sato -Appearance- Hair: Long, Wavy, Black, Reaches a couple of inches past his shoulders Eyes: Gray-Blue Height: 5'4" | 162 cm Weight: 128 lbs. | 58 kg Skin Tone: Light Tan Physical Description Body: Mikimori is still young and the smallest of his family. The young man is in the beginning of his muscular development and is surprisingly toned. He has a faint scar on the underside of his left forearm from a kenjutsu accident as a child. Hair when off duty: Mikimori will usually let his hair down. Hair During Mission: Mikimori almost always ties his hair back into a low ponytail when on mission, With his bangs staying middle parted and framing his face, Face: Mikimori's face is quite similar in appearance to her mothers, he has a strong jawline and rounder eyebrows compared to the average person. Clothing: Mikimori almost exclusively wears neutral and cooler colors and keeps his pants and shorts tighter and his shirts and coats/hoodies baggier. Casual Clothes: Mikimori prefers to dress in simple t-shirts and shorts when off duty. He more often than not wears darker shirts and lighter shorts. Mission Clothes: Mikimori's standard mission outfit is a lavender sweatshirt with an oversized, off-white belt holding up his (usually black) pants, and plain gray sandals, He also has a tendency to wear light gray wrist warmers. He commonly wears his forehead protector around his neck. -Persona- Ideals: Mikimori has been raised to always put the mission before himself and his comrades. In the past he has expressed the belief that shinobi should act as tools to support the village and country at large. In reality Mikimori only says these things to appease his father. His real vision of a shinobi is similar in their ability to sacrifice themselves for the sake of others but is also a kind and positive person who uplifts their comrades. Bonds: N/A Flaws: Perfectionist: Mikimori is self conscious of his lack of ninjutsu skill and hates when his peers see him struggling with something. He usually does not do anything that would be difficult for him in public unless he has practiced it and gotten it done without issue countless times. Pessimistic: As someone who has consistently gotten the short end of the stick in his life Mikimori has a bad habit of always expecting the worst for any situation, especially ones that don't really affect him. During missions Mikimori will often refuse to speak unless necessary since he knows that he has a tendency to bring down the mood when he gets nervous. Envy: Mikimori's two older siblings are far more talented and in Morihiko's case, a natural genius. Mikimori believes that his parents and even his siblings look down on him and think he should not even work as a shinobi. Mikimori wishes that he could have been born just as talented as the rest of his family and uses his feelings of jealousy and envy to keep pushing forward, if only to prove the people he holds the closest wrong. Personality: Mikimori's personality on a base level has been described as very bashful. He does not particularly enjoy meeting new people and trying new things, causing him to rely on his friends to force him to open up. Despite his introverted nature Mikimori is also very duty driven with a strong sense of honor and loyalty. Mikimori's refusal to do anything that he considers to break his comrades trust is a belief that has been passed down to him from his mother. Mikimori often struggles when his personal beliefs go against the job that his clan often does and he still has not decided if he should put his clan, friends, or village as a whole first. An important thing to realize when trying to understand Mikimori is his desire for fairness in life, particularly in regards to power between shinobi. Out of Naohiro and Risako's children Mikimori is the only one that is not really talented in any one area. Naohiro especially had trouble masking his disappointment throughout Mikimori's younger years. Growing up under those circumstances caused Mikimori to become envious of his older siblings due to the ease of which they learn and pick up new skills. Morihiko would often show their parents new jutsu and techniques that he had either just learned (in some cases even made up) perfectly with seemingly no difficulty. When with close friends and teammates Mikimori keeps his reserved nature although he is noticeably less shy and timid compared to when he is alone. He is the type of guy who avoids leadership positions at all costs and is completely fine following orders as long as the leader in question is confident in their own ability. -Relationships- Suizuma Naohiro: Naohiro is a talented swordsman and former hunter-nin of Kirigakure. Naohiro is not afraid to openly show his favoritism to Morihiko over Mikimori and Sonoko. Naohiro and Mikimori do not have much contact with each other and Mikimori in particular has admitted to Sonoko that he has no interest in associating with his father. Although both of them know how the either feels they still put up a false front and act friendly when in the presence of family and other clan members. Suizuma Risako: Risako is very protective of her youngest son, to the extent of barring him from participating in the Civil War despite him being Gennin at the time. She is Mikimori's main teacher for techniques revolving around their clan and in general ninja skills. Risako originally shared her husbands opinion on Mikimori being a liability and someone who had no business being a ninja. Due to her having more experience with seeing Mikimori fight when compared to Naohiro she has lately started to believe that Mikimori is just lazy and not completely talentless. Suizuma Morihiko: Naohiro and Risako's firstborn, Morihiko is a Jounin of Kirigakure and is known to be a genius when it comes to anything relating to Taijutsu and his Steam techniques. Morihiko pities his younger brother and often tries to teach him basic jutsu. Even though Morihiko's desire to help his younger brother is sincere the two do not have much in common and rarely hang out together if they are not doing something shinobi related. Suizuma Sonoko: Mikimori's older sister and the second child of Naohiro and Risako. Sonoko is a Chuunin of Kirigakure and specializes in a mixture of Suiton and Steam Jutsu. Sonoko is much more social and outgoing when compared to Mikimori. Despite her seemingly friendly nature it is not uncommon to see Sonoko antagonizing her younger brother, usually making any number of comments about how he should pursue another line of work before he gets himself hurt. Although Sonoko and Mikimori often bicker with each other they are in fact quite close with the two both sharing a passion for bird watching. -History- Naohiro was the 5th child of his parents, Suizuma Eiji and Suizuma Kotori. Naohiro had average grades at the academy but became an accomplished swordsman and achieved the rank of Chuunin at a younger age than average. Eventually Naohiro got to know Risako better after being placed on the same team and a couple of years later the couple got married. A year and a half passed before their firstborn Morihiko was born and it was two years after his birth before Sonoko was born. Both of the children were naturals at everything that they did with Morihiko in particular inheriting a strong degree of control of the clans Inner Heating System. When Naohiro and Risako had their third and final child they held the same high expectations in regard to shinobi ability. At first the family thought that Mikimori just needed a little longer to show how talented he was but as the years went on the family began to realize there was nothing to wait for in the first place. Regardless of Naohiro's disappointment Mikimori still was enrolled in the academy and even had above average grades. Unfortunately this was still not enough to make his father proud since Morihiko and Sonoko both were bright and gifted kids also above the average. Unlike the rest of his family Mikimori was not quite old or skilled enough to be of much help during the NCIA's occupation or Civil War that took place in Mizu no Kuni. More recently Mikimori has begun to go on missions of his own with the help of his older siblings and as a result of the help from his mother and siblings he has started to train more seriously in order to prove that he can be a great shinobi without being born a genius.
