Clan Age: This clan is one of the most ancient families found within the shinobi world, existing prior to the establishment of modern villages. The clan finds its roots all the way back to the Rikkodu Sennin, The Sage of The Six Paths. Along with its borther family, the Uchiha, the Senju founded the Village Hidden in the Leaves; Konohagakure no Sato. With their extensive age, they have naturally accumulated many of the old world skills and new age tactics.
Clan Status: The Senju clan are one of the most respected clans known throughout the world. Their influence leeched over the entire world, but the central hub of their fame is within Konohagakure no Sato as its founding fathers. They are no feared, like their brothers, but they are highly respected and revered for their history, their legend and their skills. Which is why the Senju clan have been given the title 'Sen no te o motsu ichizoku' which means 'The Family of a Thousand Hands, or a Thousand Skills.'

Clan History;



The ancient lore teaches all children at the academy that Ninjutsu derived from the Sage of the Six Paths, the savior of the world, emerging in a war torn time. He taught humans the secrets of chakra and was determined to use the knowledge to invoke peace, not war. The priest even made battle with the mystical beast of history- the Ten-tailed Beast, developing a new technique that sealed the beast within him, making the Sage the first jinchūriki in existence. He knew that the demon would break free after his death, so he split the power of the Ten-Tails into nine separate demons, each housing a fraction of the Ten-Tails, and the remaining power he sealed away in the moon. He wrote down his secrets on tablets, on fully decipherable by the Rinn'egan, but eyes such as the Byakugan and Sharnigan could crack some of the code. Saving the world from this beast, the Sage was not finished, but he realized that the dream of peace wouldn't be achieved in his lifetime alone. So he passed his creed and inheritance between his two sons. He blessed both of them. To his older, he gave the 'Sage Eyes', with his chakra and spiritual enegery- and to his yonger he bestowed the 'Sage Body' consisting of his physical energy and willpower. He beleived that love was the true conduit of peace. But the two brothers were born to bicker. The Sage left the younger son as his successor. That son was the first Senju, as opposed to his brother, the Uchiha. Their tale became as twisted as Jacob and Esau.

Contrary to the vast majority of clans within the shinobi world, the Senju clan have not focused on one area of mastery- instead they became the 'Jack of All-Trades' and individual masters in their own right, to a certain extent. This could be surmised from the fact, that at one point, the Senju banner had flown over many of the houses in the world today and it was only at the dawn of the modern world did the Senju of old truly disband and revolt back to their original core.

The Senju gained their fame before the world established the shinobi villages, where their extensive knowledge of skills brought them to the top of the shinobi chain. The most famous member, and first recoded Senju was Hashimara, known for his skill in wood manipulation and ability to cleave the power of the tailed-beasts. His power in wood was complimented by his brother Tobirmara's ability with water. Hashirama was true to the Sage's dream of peace and carried on that creed- translated into The Will of Fire. The clan was unopposed, except for the Uchiha clan, which made numerous wars between the clan. Unsettled by this Hashimara used his coined charisma to persuade Uchiha Madara into a truce between the clans, allowing for the formation of Konohagakure no Sato. Together, the families were hired by the Land of Fire to secure their borders and allow the settling of the clans. The powerful families did as such and Hashirama was elected the First Hokage. Uchiha Madara did not take keenly to this loss, also believing it would be the end of the Uchiha. He left the village, leaving the Senju to operate freely and peacefully with the Uchiha who stayed. Hashirama passed off his rite to Tobimara as the second Hokage. Tobimara took the organization of konohagakure to a new level, forming the Academy, ANBU, Chuunin exams and the Konoha Military Police Force- as an extended trust towards the Uchiha. Madara, however would claim that this was to distance the Uchiha to be surveyed by ANBU.

The Senju clan set up the bracket for the next Hokages in line. With Sarutobi Hiruzen in the group he personally trained, along with Shimura Danzo, Tobimara sacrificed himself during the First Great Ninja War to ensure his prized student Hiruzen would become the Third Hokage as they were surrounded by twenty elite Kumogakure shinobi. With that fact and the incident with the Hyuuga, tensions between the Leaf and the Cloud were at an all time high. Jaraiya, a student of the Third trained Namkaze Minato, who became the Fourth Hokage. Following in line, the Fifth- Tsunade was a Senju as a granddaughter of the First. The Sixth, Danzo was on the mission that Tobimara sacrificed himself for. It seems that every Hokage has an association with some Senju one way or another.

During the war with Kumogakure, the Senju had already become sporadic in number but they fought for their country, nonetheless. They were one of the only families that strictly stuck together against the Cloud and no Senju would be found within their ranks. It was not a pretty time, for a hot blooded crew of Uchiha had sought final revenge and joined the Ninja Crime Investigation Agency for the sole purpose of wiping out the Senju. They were almost successful, but a few groups still remained, laying in hiding, devloping new alliances with some clans and adding a new rival,the Aburame. The Aburame insects were always a nuisance, for their insects would devour the Senju forests that they created in order to escape from Kumogakure no Sato. Very few Aburame find themselves welcome in harmony within the Senju dwelling places. Their leader had been stolen from their possession to be traded in for ransom to the Daimyo of the time; Yoshida Arashi. Today the clan is beginning the reestablish, only in very few numbers, but so long as the ninja world is in strife, they have a dream of peace to fulfill.

Clan Bloodline;

 Mokuton | Wood Release | 木遁
There are bloodlines in villages that are famous because those who were born to wield them have used them to do great things within those villages, but there is only one kekkei genkai known through out the world to have been the direct cause of the birth of a village. The Mokuton, or Wood Release bloodline is an extremely rare, and well-known blood limit, that is considered to be a part of the Senju gene pool.

The bloodline was first documented in Senju Hashirama, founder of Konohagakure No Sato, and the world’s first Hokage. It was this bloodline that produced the dense forests that surround and protect the village. Apart from the Shodai, however, the bloodline has shown to be almost impossible to recreate naturally. Experimentation by the renegade Konoha-nin Orochimaru produced a single successful subject capable of naturally using the Wood Release element. This subject was later indoctrinated into the organization ROOT, and until much later acted anonymously. During the events leading up to the Fourth Shinobi World War, Yamato, the genetically altered inheritor of the Mokuton played a pivotal role.

The bloodline itself does not only grant the ability to manipulate wood natured chakra. A natural inheritor of the Mokuton is blessed with an unparalleled level of control when using ninjutsu of their natural element. They are simply more powerful in that regard than any shinobi who came to control wood release through other methods. The chakra levels of any individual with the Mokuton bloodline often far outstrip ninja of equal skill. Many have theorized that the exceptionally powerful chakra inherent in the Mokuton has to do with the lingering genetics of the Senju clan’s original ancestor. Legends attribute the birth of the Senju to the second son of the Sage of Six Paths, who had been granted the Sage’s life force and boundless energy as his legacy.

With such age attributed to the legend, the veracity of it can never be truly verified, but it is believed to be true among the Senju, who strive to use the rare gift that is Mokuton to help others, and foster peace through out their village, country, and the world.

Mokuton
The Mokuton kekkei genkai is the naturally occurring genetic sequences that produce the Wood Release advanced chakra nature without the need for extended training in the realm of chakra manipulation. It also denotes the high levels of energy that coincide with the chakra nature itself. Those few Senju ever capable of using Mokuton through genetics are considered to have inherited this bloodline. Through it, the wielder can effortlessly control the wood around them, and can even manipulate the cells of their own body, and transform them into wood.

Effect: Characters with this skill gain the skill ‘Combinatorial; Wood’ for 0 Skill Points. When purchased at character creation, the skill 'Combinatorial; Wood' replaces their village, bonus skill. When purchasing the skill ‘Ninjutsu Mastery; Wood’, characters with this skill may purchase 2 ranks for 1 Skill Point.
Description: The strength of the Mokuton kekkei genkai is much greater than the power of an average wood style technique, because of the natural bond between the user's chakra and the element of wood. Those who practice wood release without this bloodline are never able to match a bearer of Mokuton in terms of sheer power.

Mokuton Regeneration – Rank [ - ]
Effect: When damaged by a physical attack, a character with this skill is afflicted with x turns of the status effect ‘Induced Regeneration; 20x’ with ‘x’ being equivalent to the wielder’s rank in this skill. This skill may only be triggered x times per battle, and may not trigger while the character is afflicted with the status effect 'Induced Regeneration'. Characters with skill do not regenerate Chakra for 1 turn after this skill is triggered.
Description: Because of the nature of the Mokuton blood limit, the bodies of those who wield the bloodline are able to easily adapt to and become wood on a genetic level. This makes it possible for the body of a Mokuton user to become wood on a cellular level. Their body does this autonomically when damaged, allowing their wounds to heal at an extremely rapid rate. This ability becomes more powerful as the wielder becomes more adept at controlling their bloodline. This ability has a strong drawback, as regenerating their body damages their ability to regenerate chakra.

Effect: Characters with this skill permanently gain 200 Chakra per rank in this skill.
Description: The Mokuton is as legends say a bloodline that stems from one most ancient and elusive. The Rikudō Sennin had two sons. The eldest was said to have been born with the gift of the Sennin's eyes, and his younger son, Ashura, with the spirit of determination, force of will, and indomitable energy of his father. The younger son went on to found the Senju clan. Senju who now command the powers of the Mokuton kekkei genkai also burst with the overwhelming energy of Ōtsutsuki Ashura.

Effect: Characters with this skill are considered to meet all requirements for the Advanced System ‘Sage Mode’. For each rank in this skill, characters with this skill may extend the maximum duration that ‘Sage Mode’ may be activated for 1 turn.
Description: Because their genetic structure blends seamlessly with the wood that they manipulate, those who wield the Mokuton have an inherent tendency to absorb natural energy into their body. Unlike most, they do not suffer the negative effects of natural energy, and because of this intuitive grasp of the natural world, the greatest wielders of the Mokuton have been shown able to master the art of Sage Mode without needing to be trained by creatures more in tune with nature than they. Their enhanced vitality also allows their body to remain in Sage Mode for an extended duration.

Mokuton; Zenbu-bodi Seichuu [Wood Release; Full-Body Bind] 火遁・の術豪火
Type: Ninjutsu [Wood//Clan]

Effect: Victim is afflicted with the status effect "Vulnerable", "Disorganized” and "Stunned” for one turn. After the first time this technique is used in a single battle, anyone targeted with this jutsu is treated as if they have 1.5x their base evasion in response.
Description: One of the most versatile of the Mokuton user's arsenal, the Zenbu-Bodi Seichuu can be used for offensive, defensive, or collaborative purposes. First the jutsu's orator would stream seven hand-seals together with both hands [ushi, U, Tora, Inu, Tori, I, Saru], then in a manner much like the Summoning technique the right or left palms are struck on the ground. Following this series of actions roots permeate the ground around the target, quickly wrapping themselves around the body, all the way from the feet to the neck, constricting all range of motion for a short amount of time. But user's of this technique must also beware that this jutsu very rarely works twice.

Mokuton; Mokusei Kunai | Wood Release; Wooden Kunai| 木遁・木クナイ

Effects: This technique must be performed in the Set-Up Phase. In terms of chakra cost calculation ‘x’ is equal to the number of kunai created by this technique, and ‘x’ may never equal more than 4. Kunai created by this technique may be thrown in any turn following their creation as if they were a regular kunai owned by the user. Wooden kunai deal 4 damage per kunai. If thrown in the Main Phase following their creation, the user gains a +2% bonus to hit with each kunai. The user most possess the Mokuton Shakuhō bloodline.
Description: This technique is considered to be one of the most simplistic of the Senju clan’s mokuton techniques. By altering the cellular structure of their hands, the user is capable of growing a number of kunai in the palm of their hand. While these weapons are the exact scale of the average kunai, the wooden versions of the weapon are noticeably lighter than steel, and have not the cutting power. They do less of the damage that an average kunai would, but those Senju who have mastered the technique have devised ways of making the technique more suitable for battle.

Moku Bunshin No Jutsu | Wood Clone Technique | 木分身の術
Type: Ninjutsu [Wood | Clan]

Effects: This technique may be used in the Set-Up Phase or the Main Phase. Creates 1 Wood Clone. Wood Clones are considered to have 50% of the user’s total Health, Stamina, and Chakra. The rest of the Wood Clones statistics are considered to be 75% of their creator’s. Wood Clones are capable of using only techniques of the Wood Release element. In any turn after the clone has been created and before it has been destroyed, the user may forfeit a set-up phase to regenerate the Health, Stamina, or Chakra of the clone by spending ‘x’ Chakra. Health may be regenerated at a ratio of 2:1, and Stamina and Chakra may be regenerated at a ratio of 1:1. The user most possess the Mokuton Shakuhō bloodline.
Description: The Senju variant of the Wood Clone Technique is actually the progenitor of the modern Wood Clone, and is a well guarded clan secret. Given the rarity of the bloodline that this technique requires it has largely been forgotten that the Senju clan hold the secret to the forefather of the contemporary Moku Bunshin. This technique is performed by altering the cells of the user’s body into wood, and literally creating a second person. Historically, this technique has proven to be used less for decoy work, and more for reconnaissance, and utility, and is capable of being molded and changed after its creation, a trait that is very uncommon amongst any other form of clone. The appearance of the clone created by this technique is based on the user’s desire, and may be as complex as a fully featured wooden copy of the user, or a simple looking training dummy.
