Terrick Sukrai
Skill Name: Dreadnaught Bloodline: N/A Description: There is the old adage that Speed Kills. Shinobi know this very well, in that the first to get off that deadly jutsu, the first to strike that fatal blow, is the one left standing. Shinobi train endlessly to become faster, and thus stronger, so as to destroy their enemy. As such most people came to the conclusion that the only way to defend against such things is to be faster than your opponent... For most non-shinobi, this is impossible. Keyword... Most. While heavy armor and articulated plate is more prevalent in the west, some peoples of the Elemental nations train to use such armor in the same way they would their own skin. They put as much trust in their armor as their weapons, and train in tactics that allow them to use it to their utmost, unconsciously angling their bodies so that a strike is deflected by that plate or another, or slides off the shoulder instead of biting into the collar, allowing them to focus on the offensive. Effect: For each rank taken, increase the defence bonus of one piece of armor by 10. You must choose a single piece of armor to apply this to when ranking up, although you can put ranks into different armors. If that piece of armor is removed, you lose the bonus. Cost: -1 per rank, 1 rank every 5 levels. Edited June 23, 2011 by Terrick Sukrai

cntrstrk14
I would suggest just spending the extra money to make your equipment better rather than spending skill points on this since skill points are a more rare (and limited) commodity. However, if you wish to use this skill it should be on the same level as the offensive ones (point for point). So that would mean approximately +10 stats for each -1 SP. Also, there is a built in rule that says you cannot take a rank in a skill more than every 5 levels with some exceptions.
