Rhapsody
What do you think? Should the kids be found and punished? Is the recent movement toward telling kids 'it gets better' just meaningless fluff? Here's another from 2007 that I thought was interesting. Were you ever bullied? dowhatnow
Teen suicide? I don't know enough about the issue to comment on it, but it seems to me that he draws a pretty straight line from Point A (Teen Suicide) and Point B (Bullying). Point B something I think everyone here knows about. Whether they were the recipient or the sender of bullying tactics, I'm pretty sure everyone here has been, or has. Personally, it took all of one or two incidents in which I demonstrated enough counter-violence that no one screwed with me again, and I maintain that the "Fight Fire with Fire" policy is the best policy. Further, schools do little except to encourage root problem that is the behavior of bullying as they usually only detain, suspend, or even expel the individual standing up for him- or herself. At least, that's the track record I'm seeing in US schools.
