Milla Kresnik: Records of the origins of the Kresnik clan are only known by few and are closely guarded. Milla Kresnik is the first documented and known Kresnik member, however little information is known outside of the clan. 

 

Clan Head:

 

Currently Unknown: Due to the destruction of Kusagakure No Sato, the former clan head Elle Kresnik disappeared and presumed dead. As such, with the clan scattered in parts of Kusagakure and Otogakure, the clan head has yet to be decided. 

 

Clan Status:

 

Barely known and treated with caution: Although members within Kusagakure know about the Kresnik clan, the clan itself did not play an active part within politics and other affairs of Kusagakure. Not much is known about the clan from the outside and those whom have found out about the clan's origin vanished mysteriously.

Old: The Kresnik Clan has been around since before the inception of Kusagakure no Sato and the rest of the shinobi villages.

|Clan History|

 

"We sought out to bring harmony between people and the world around us.."

 

 

Although the specifics of how the clan originated are lost to the pages of history, records show that a woman by the name of Milla Kresnik was the founder of the Kresnik clan. A woman of beauty and love for the world and animals around here, set out with a few followers to find a land where they could thrive with nature and people in harmony. Eventually, the group settled down in a land of grass which contained land for growth and animals as far as the horizon. As time passed more clans would eventually settle down in the area which would be known as Hara no Kuni. The world was ideal as the clan's traded and prospered with each other and nature and with time the Kresnik clan grew. Bonds were formed with the animals and the strange creatures around them, some surprisingly intelligent. However their utopia would not last long as dispute broke out and the clans found themselves at war with each other. Pacifist in nature, the Kresniks sought to avoid conflict, but the world drew them in and in order to protect themselves, they had to fight. 

 

"However our desire to protect became greed and doomed us with our cursed fate."

 

The Kresniks soon joined the warring clans in an attempt to protect what they had built. Their perfect world was one they did not wish to lose. Despite their natural ability to wield weapons, the Kresniks found themselves outmatched by those who could utilize chakra and watched as their homes and fields burned into dust. Many lost the will to fight and proceeded to leave the area in search for a safer haven. Those whom remained either surrendered and worked for those whom had conquered them or found themselves in the homes of their allies. This devastated Milla Kresnik and her followers who wished for humanity to be at harmony with the world around them. Each night they prayed to the gods to give them the strength to fight and restore their utopia and each night they were met with silence. It was several months later after the destruction of their homes in which their prayers were answered by a mysterious being composed of what seemed to be chakra. The being infused some of it's chakra into each of the remaining members and with it, they gained a pocket watch. With the gift also came a catch, if they were too succeed in regaining their homeland and pass the being's trial, one member would be granted any wish they desired. The trial was soon named Origin's Trial, a name that would haunt the Kresnik's till the end. 

 

It was not long before the warring clans found the Krenik's on the battlefield once more, with their new found power. Their bodies able to gain what seemed as a coat of armor on them along with increased strength and abilities, the Kresnik took revenge for their homeland. Many of the members were astounded by their new abilities as they watched their weapon abilities surpass thresholds they could only dream of. Within months the clan reclaimed their homeland and began to rebuild, however the thrill of victory and a taste of battle left many of those hungry for more. Soon, their attention turned towards Origin's trial and the wish that was granted if they were to succeed. It was discovered from details recieved from Milla Kresnik, that Origin's Trial took place in a land known as Canaan. Unfortunately, that was the only details which the being left her. Time passed on once more as members of the clan left to find Canaan and once more the being appeared to several members of the Kresnik Clan. It's words were simple: "Origin's Trial could only be passed by the strongest of Kresniks and those who proved themselves worthy." With that the being disappeared. As members sought to get stronger through the use of their new found ability, named Chromatus, it was discovered that through the use of two pocket watches one could increase their chromatus power. It was that discovery which led to the downfall of the Kresnik clan as the members hunted each other down for their pocket watches to gain the strength necessary to reach Canaan. As the world moved on, the Kresnik's disappeared. 

 

 

"We've lived in the shadows for so long. There must be a way to move forward."

 

Official records of the Kresnik clan mark their re-appearance shortly before the great shinobi war. Many of the members scattered throughout the world in fear that they would be hunted by their own clan members for their watches and chromatus power. It was through the efforts of Kusagakure no Sato and Will Kresnik in which the clan was reunited once more and given a small estate within Kusa. Despite the reunion, the clan still distrusted each other, only to discover that their 'gift' was a blessing and a curse. Through information gathered by Will, it was discovered that extensive use of the Chromatus led to what he called a catalyst. A being composed partially of pure chakra and natural energy. As such in order to avoid the complete transformation of catalyst the clan had to work together to increase their strength without killing each other or the over usage of their chromatus. With hesitation the members agreed in an attempt to restore their clan and continue the survival of the Kresnik bloodline.

 

"The land of Canaan. Perhaps there we can rid ourselves of our curse and be free."

 

The clan remained silent for more than a century and as the world came to a new age, so did the Kresnik clan. With the rise of the Kumogakure empire, the stories of canaan and the wish rose once more. The current clan head Beasley Kresnik sought out an opportunity to find the land of Canaan and through the defeat of Origin's trial there he would wish for an end to the curse. With war on the horizon, Beasley took the opportunity to raise doubt and chaos among the clan members and once more the endless cycle repeated itself. As Kumogakure's invasion began, those who sided with the Kumogakure Empire and Beasley began to kill members of their clan whom joined the resistance in the name of the Kumogakure empire. Those who didn't join the empire were either given to Kumo as test subjects or killed and their pocket watch stolen. In time Beasley managed to achieve the highest form of the Chromatus and set off to find Canaan. 

 

"I won't let you kill her or anybody else. This ends now, even if I have to sacrifice myself!"

 

Despite the end of the Kumogakure invasion which signalled a new age, the Kresnik clan remained in a chaotic state. Through the actions of Beasley Kresnik, the clan was divided once more and those whom favored the empire fled Kusagakure. With the disappearance of Beasley, the members of the clan elected Elle and Ludger Kresnik, sister and brother, as the new clan heads in order to attempt to prevent any more clan slaughters. With their assignment, both of them set out to retrieve Beasley from his quest and punish him for his crimes against Kusagakure and the Kresnik Clan. Their search would end up near a dried lake, known as Espila where Beasley stood with several dead members of the Kresnik clan. It was shortly after were a fight broke out and in that moment, Ludger Kresnik sacrificed his life and achieved the final form of Chromatus in order to protect Elle. With her own transformation, Elle eliminated Beasley and brought their bodies back to Kusagakure for a proper burial. It was in Beasley's last words where Elle discovered the truth about their Chromatus form and Origin's Trial. Their power was given to them by a yokai known as Chronos and origin's trial was simply a test of greed. If they could prove themselves to Chronos, then he would lift the curse. The information was shared with those within the clan and as the clan attempted to rebuild, they soon found themselves without a home.

It seemed as if the cursed fate was unable to let the clan rest as the world shook around them once more. Torn apart by the sudden destruction of Kusagakure, the Kresnik clan lost many of its members to the unknown phenomenon. As many look towards their clan head for guidance, it was discovered that Elle Kresnik had dissappeared and without a clan head to guide the clan, the members soon scattered towards separate villages. Those whom wish to stay together were separated into two groups, as one remained within the capital of Hara no Kuni and the other accepted refuge within Otogakure no Sato. With rumors of yokai and massive destruction, the clan remains uneasy as fear of being hunted by their clan members rises once more. For now, talks of a new clan head is being discussed with the possibility of two branches of the Kresnik Clan.
