Nitabaki! The Ravenous Fighter!

qILQEE4.png

Using an onomatopoeia made by combining those of “nitanita” meaning a broad, evil grin and “bakibaki” meaning the sound of something forcefully breaking, Nitabaki was named after the unsettling face of pleasure he makes after maiming his prey. This falcon is intimidating in his demeanor, and his hunger for violence and fighting insatiable. Lesser beings are often fooled by his adolescent appearance, dismissing his ire as sophomoric irritability. The mistake tends to be fatal. Nitabaki sports a pitch black coat—a rare feature among peregrine falcons who almost always develop speckled colors—and has many patches of scars, missing feathers, a small metal plate riveted over a gash in his beak; all features giving him an ominous presence. Shinobi who wish to summon Nitabaki beware: he will become ornery if asked to do less than kill his opponents.

Intimidating Falconry Hood

Description: Nitabaki wears a hood that is reminiscent of those used on lesser Hayabusa by their Faloncer trainers. But make no mistake, he does not wear one to be controlled by others. Rusty brown worn leather surrounds the head and covers the eyes in large bulbous, protrusions on which are painted a piercing gaze. Atop the hood extends black braided leather whips in a Mohawk pattern. Blood splatters are painted all across, and even on Irrato’s beak.
