Level 1 - Deido

 

A dull blue in hue, with a number of splotchy ink-like marks across his forehead and back, Deido is one of the most common members of the Nyuuyoku clan a patron of the bath house will see on a day to day basis. Still small enough to enter all the indoor pools, and apathetic enough to ignore Yui’s constant nagging, the 4’ tall axolotl is normally see wearing the monk’s beads common to his clan, and is rarely seen without a small gourd of sake from the kitchens. Deido is a bit of a chubby dude even for his clan, and is almost always caked in mud.

 

As a regular customer of the bath house, Deido is often found drinking, gambling, and otherwise scamming non-regular customers out of their hard earned ryo. Usually he does this with promises to teach them the clan’s techniques, of which he himself knows few. Deido is less lazy than most of his brethren, but that doesn’t mean he’s got any drive either. The busiest the axolotl ever is is when he is playing cards and planning another scam. Even amongst those who have contracts with the clan tend to avoid Deido when they need anything of real value from the mud monks, and that’s just how Deido likes it.

Description: A sake gourd common to the Nyuuyoku clan, this gourd is heavily reinforced for use as a shield in battle, if it should ever come to that.

Path of the Medic    

Effect: This character no longer gains damage modifiers from their Ninjutsu stat. Whenever this character uses a Medical Ninjutsu they gain +x Evasion for one turn, where the value of x is equal to 2% of the Medical Ninjutsu's base cost for every 100 Concentration the character has.               

- Chakra Control: The skill "Chakra Training" no longer has a training requirement. The first rank of this skill is free.

Advanced Paths: - Path of the Advanced Medic.                            

Cost: -1 SP

 

Path of the Advanced Medic    

Effect: Medical Ninjutsu gain +1% base healing for every forty (40) points in the user's Ninjutsu stat.                           

Anatomical Mastery: (Choose One)

- Medical Genius: At each ninja rank the user may chose two (2) status effects, to a total of eight (8) at Sennin rank. Status effects with a variable cost or a maximum duration of one (1) turn may not be chosen. When using a Medical Ninjutsu that only heals Health, this character may choose to spend 1.5x Chakra to remove a single turn of one of their chosen status effects that their target is inflicted with. The value of x is equal to the cp cost of the status effect being removed.

Requirements: - Chuunin. Must have Path of the Medic.

Chakra Training (Rank 1)

Effect: User permanently gains 100 to their Chakra stat. Ranks in this skill may be purchased once every ten (10) levels.                           

Cost: -0 SP (Rank 1 free with Path of the Medic)

 

Savior    

Effect: Once per team battle you may choose to take an attack in place of your ally without need for any rolls. Apply all armors against this attack regardless of if it is supposed to bypass armor or not. When you take the hit, you gain a +100 to Defense. Cannot be used against Genjutsu.                                

Cost: -1 SP

 

Medical Training (Rank 2)   

May learn Medical Ninjutsu Techniques. The maximum rank of Medical technique that can be learned is equal to your rank in this skill (1; Genin, 2; Chunin, etc.). Characters who do not possess "Path of the Medic" can only learn the first rank of this skill.

Requirements:

• Rank 2: Path of the Medic, Level 20

Cost: -2 SP

 

Combinatorial; Mud

Effect: User may use mud style techniques. The first strike of a mud element attack also inflicts one turn of "slow." In addition, the user may choose to apply the bonus from one of the Subtle Elements skills required to learn this element if they own it.

Description: A simple playful splash that might have gotten in someone’s eyes.

Mud Style: Goop Barrage

Type: Ninjutsu [Mud]

Rank: Genin

Cost: 75

Damage: 20 per strike, 3 strikes

Effect: Target is “Fazed” for one turn. This costs 15 less chakra if the terrain is "Muddy Ground" or "Thick Mud." If the terrain is not "Muddy Ground" or "Thick Mud" this technique does not afflict "Fazed".

Description: A spattering of mud globules around a target's face. Makes for excellent fun.

Mud Style: Healing Mask

Type: Ninjutsu [Mud; Medical]

Rank: Genin

Cost: 60

Damage: N/A

Effect: Target gains 60 Health

Description: A common use for heated mud, facial masks! It’s a healing and soothing effect, even more so when imbued with chakra.

Mud Style: Hot Mud Bath

Type: Ninjutsu [Mud]

Rank: Genin

Damage: 0

Effect: Target is afflicted with 2 turns of “Burning; 30”

Description: A common treat at the bath house is a warming mud bath. This one was cooked a bit long though, hot hot hot!

Mud Style: Mud Slap

Rank: Genin

Cost: 40

Damage: 0

Effect: Target is afflicted with 2 turns of “bruised”

Description: The user swings around with a mighty shake, dislodging chunks of dried mud towards their target. These chunks don’t hurt too much themselves but are enough to rough up opponents in preparation for a counter attack.

Mud Style: Wallowing Pit Technique

Type: Ninjutsu; [Mud]

Rank: Chunin

Cost: 160

Damage: N/A

Effect: Applies Terrain “Thick Mud” to the battlefield

Description: The user slams their hands into the dirt, enveloping the area in an ever thickening muddy pit. Perfect for wallowing.

Cost: -6

 

Mud Style: Dripping Wall

Type: Ninjutsu; [Mud; Barrier;]

Rank: Chunin

Cost: 120 chakra

Damage: N/A

Effect: User creates a 200 health barrier in front of a target. This barrier is destroyed after 4 turns if it has not broken already. This jutsu costs 50% less chakra to use if the terrain is “muddy ground” or “thick mud”. This is usable twice per battle.

Description: The user summons a tall, goopy wall of mud to block incoming threats.

Cost: -4

 

Mud Style: Slop Armor

Type: Ninjutsu; [Mud; Shield; Medical]

Rank: Chunin

Cost: 108 chakra

Damage: N/A

Effect: Coats the user or target in a 100 health shield and is affected with “Induced Regeneration 20” for 3 turns. This is usable twice per battle.

Description: A goopy, sloppy layer of chakra infused mud is coated along one’s body, healing wounds and mitigating incoming damage
