Hardcore Skittlez Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Area of Effect JutsuArea of effect jutsu have half the normal chance to dodge. So if you have a 60% chance to dodge an attack normally then you have a 30% chance to dodge. Minimum %'s to dodge still apply. They affect everyone on the battlefield unless stated otherwise. They can be used with Taijutsu, Ninjutsu or Genjutsu as long as they make sense. Cost: DP Ratio Genin: 4:1 (120 chakra for 30 DP) Chuunin: 3:1 (90 chakra for 30 DP) Jounin+ 2:1 (60 chakra for 30 DP) To do 20 damage to everyone, the Jutsu cost would have to be 60 right away. Bleeding: User loses x HP every turn. (x is determined in the technique that inflicts bleeding.)Max Duration: 3 turns DP: 0.8x/turn (x = Damage the bleeding effects per turn.) .8*3=2.4, or 2. 2*2(NUmber of turns)=4. All together, this should cost 64
Terrick Sukrai Posted August 14, 2006 Author Posted August 14, 2006 For Taijutus, Cost to DP ratio for Chunnins normally is 2:3. Multiply that by 3:1 for area effect, and you get 6:3, or 2:1. Which would mean that it actually cost 48, but I put it up to an even 50.
Hardcore Skittlez Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 That makes sense, but I'm fairly sure anything that's AoE has to follow AoE rules, instead of a combination of rules. I'll talk to the staff 'bout it.
Terrick Sukrai Posted August 14, 2006 Author Posted August 14, 2006 It is following AoE rules. There's just a difference between how it's calculated depending on the rank of the jutsu... Otherwise there'd be no point in having anything other than gennin jutsus made into AoE, because it would be the same.
Ravage Nocturne Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Er, no....you just use AoE rules. I have yet to see an AoE presented in this format, so I'm gonna guess that it's simply that raito you use (Or else, why be presented with one? All they'd do is say "Take the cost and multiply by X) I'm rather certain that Skittz is right. Might wanna double check, but 99% chance it's just following the AoE ratio, not the rank one ('cos each rank is different!)

Requires: Demon's Claws Points: 2 Chuunin cost = 4:5, so for 20 damage, you pay 16 normally. 3 Bleed for 2 turns... that is .8 x 6 = 5 So 21... AoE = x4, so final cost is 84
Terrick Sukrai Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) TaijutsuDamage Ratios -Genin 4:5 -Chuunin 2:3 -Jounin+ 1:2 Area of Effect JutsuArea of effect jutsu have half the normal chance to dodge. However, thank you Sako for proving that you still apply both those ratios rather than just the AoE. Thank you. Edited August 21, 2006 by Terrick Sukrai
