Divine Scroll of the 77 Forbidden Arts

Item Slots Taken: 5

Effect: Unique [Only one of these in existance], Access to learn the 77 Forbidden Art Techniques.

Description: The Divine Scroll of the 77 Forbidden Arts is a large scroll measuring three feet in length. It is made of regular paper which has grown slightly yellow with time. The wooden post in the middle that the scroll is wrapped around is a thick and dark Ashwatta wood. The wood from said trees are held sacred to the Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. It is rumored that the wood from this tree is actually from the original Bodhi tree, under which Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, is said to have meditated upon reaching Nirvana. These claims are impossible to prove, but it does give the scroll a sacred sense. The wood on each end is delicately carved with old runes and kanji. The scroll is kept is a leather holster made for it's protection. The holster is immune to basic fire and water damage, though if specifically targeted would not hold well against an attack. Upon the upper and lower portions of the scroll is thick dark blue lines that border the writing. Contained within this scroll is instructions for 77 Forbidden Arts, each of which requires a blood contract to use, not unlike a summoning scroll.

Isn't the effect that it allows the possesor of this scroll to learn the Forbidden 77 Arts- with each of these (obviously) being Forbidden Jutsu/Skills (though you'd still need to meet requirements) it'll cost more than $10, and even then could have some hefty quest tag which'll need approval from 2 staff members- just a thought.

the quest tag wouldnt make sense, since it has been in the hands of the Alchem family for many years... Though I may change that because it will be fun to do a quest for it, depending on how long you are talking.

And this is only hurting me by making this. It is like making the summoning contract for your summons, all it does is allow someone to steal it and learn your summons. I dont think it should cost any more than $20.

Ah hah. Well, I need to read up on my Alchem history :P . Point taken, quest tag was just a suggestion.

Though one thing im sure about, the Alchem was near obliterated- maybe the scroll was 'lost'? Unless one of you two had it all this time, which im sure im about to be told you had it somewhere on your person or in some kind of clan safehouse over the years; discovering it and persuing the Forbidden Arts.

Ok but. If its stolen, and you dont know All of the 77 Arts; you cant learn anymore until you're in possesion of it quite clearly so the 'Effect' is still 'Allows the possesor to learn (and perhaps teach) the 77 Forbidden Arts)'.

And I guess we can price it lowly.

ok, sounds fair. And yes, me and Sanji actually spent about a month RL time and a crazy RP through Kumogakure recovering and restoring the damaged texts of our clan library. The scroll was contained in the leather holster as described, and was saved from fire damage, though it was buried when the house collapsed. It was only luck we could find it.

During the Kumogakure occupation Syaoran buried the entire library deep underground to prevent it's second destruction.

EDIT: Added in the effect, though I already state within the techniques that the scroll is required to learn the techniques. But doubling over things like that is never a bad idea.

Luck being a die roll :P

I feel all schooled now on the NAs famed Alchem, almost makes you want to read their RP threads like an eagle stalking a bunny in the desert :P
