Description: With the user's infatuation with nature, they feel the need for the pressence of trees surrounding themselves. The user channels chakra into the ground, causeing a growth of trees to surround the area surrounding the user. This growth gives the user cofidence in themselves due to a more common setting for the battle they are partaking in. Points: 4 Edited November 8, 2006 by Shuichi Oni
Nappers Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 120 Chakra. Chuunin. What are the implications of growing this grove of small tree's? That they are just there?
Oni Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 120 Chakra.Chuunin. What are the implications of growing this grove of small tree's? That they are just there? Yes, to just make the area have trees. mainly to be used for a first turn jutsu giving the extra damage of the attack "Might of Oaks" that requires multiple trees to be present. I thought by making Infatuation with Nature Rank 2, which you have to be level 15 to obtain, the user would be able to acheive this objective. With the bloodline the user may only learn and practice Plant, wood, and thorn style attacks, By level 15 and only using these styles I beleive the user could grow a few trees.
Nappers Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Cool. Still Chuunin; 120 chakra is far beyond the capabilities of a normal Gennin to make multiple trees - even my prodigy spends 60 chakra to make a single super tree.
Oni Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 But your jutsu comes with additional effects that is unnessisary for my use. If a gennin has the chakra to create the trees why couldn't they use the technique.
Nappers Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Because geomorphing is not a Gennin capability with the primary examples being the terrain Hijutsu being of Chuunin rank, these of course are not exactly like them but terrain shifting even in a basic method without adding effects such as 'dense woodland' although the area within which these tree's are could be considered so. The Gennin spending limit is 80, creating several tree's is going to cost 100-120 and by NA rule makes it Chuunin; this point being the most significant for the reasoning. So it's either Chuunin, or not a technique at all.
cntrstrk14 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Isn't this like the third or fourth 'tree maing' jutsu? I know Matthias Drake made a high level forbidden one and I think Sako had one for trees also. If I am mistaken please tell me, otherwise this seems like an overlap.
Oni Posted October 30, 2006 Author Posted October 30, 2006 I did veiw a few jutsu's that did create trees, but they all had other special effects that I would like to have exempt. The jutsu is to just grow a few trees to provide the requirements for jutsu's that get extra damage from a wooded area. It is far from a dense woodland but more than a single tree. No special effects, no stat modifications, that is the reasons behind why I created a new jutsu than to seek approval to use someone elses.
Guest Shuichi Yoh Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Why couldn't there be variations of the same style jutsu? Both jutsu's may create tree's but the effects there after are not the same, I don't see a problem.
Arashi Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I do not sees any problem, as there can be different types of trees, they can grow in different ways (just as normal, ensnaring the opponent etc.), they can grow differently fast etc. Christmas trees
