On the bottom, used as a counter weight to the large blade, is a lion carved of silver. The blade's mounting (the part that actually holds the blade) is shaped like a lion with an opened mouth, and the large thirty seven inch blade extends from the opened maw. The blade starts out twelve inches wide, and curves down into a wicked point. Like the silvered lion, the blade is formed of alchemic silver, harder and lighter than steel.
