K Mitsuhide Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) Clan LinkSkill Name: Bodily DegradationBloodline: ShirakuDescription: . For some reason, the bodies of the clan members also age more quickly. An eight-year-old's body could resemble that of an eleven-year old. Clan members age so quickly that their bodies begin to die off at an early age instead of later on in life, and it is exceptionally rare for one to see 80. Luckily, this aging is not spectacularly fast, and one only appears perhaps a few years older than their actual age.Effect: Stat loss begins at age 40 rather than 60. In addition, instead of just half stat loss at 80, the shinobi loses an additional amount of ¼ of their original stat total. Absolute maximum age is 85. Must be taken at character creation.Cost: N/ASkill Name: Loss of AbilityBloodline: ShirakuDescription: Shuurajou members have dedicated themselves so much to their clan that when their bodies adapted to fill the requirements for strong blood techniques, they also lost their ability to excel with any other type of technique.Effect: All ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu techniques that are not Shuurajou clan techniques lose all nin, gen, and tai modifiers. Must be taken at character creation. Characters with a death bonus of Genius+ do not have to take this skill.Cost: +1 Edited April 3, 2013 by K Mitsuhide
Rhapsody Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Personally, I think these are both +1... If that. They aren't really hindering skills, y'know? There's nothing forcing you to age your character at all, and you can just create as many clan techs as you want- so the second one doesn't hold you back either. But, hey, those are just my thoughts. x_x They're pretty good ideas though!

K Mitsuhide Posted September 7, 2010 Author Posted September 7, 2010 Awesome. I edited the first one, considering that I didn't think to put in a periodic timeline for the skill.
Azure Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Still doesn't constitute the skill point. At max, your character will gain an auto +14 years to their life, plus whatever year it becomes IC. On average a character will start at age 16, making them get auto-30 plus they will have to wait 10 years IC for this to take effect...even with timeskips, you would have to be playing wayyyyyyyyy in the early stages of NA to reach 10 years.
cntrstrk14 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Also, force aging doesn't work so well in the NA universe. It can work if your character lives in a vacuum, but you could meet someone, come back and be 5 years older and they haven't aged. It gets kind of weird. The other skill looks good.
K Mitsuhide Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 Could I remove the cost for the skill and still keep it as an RP kinda thing?
K Mitsuhide Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 Bump. Edited the first to have no bonus or cost, because it's for RP. Second is simple and ready for approval. Clan's already been approved, but skills, techs and bloodline have not, so any help would be appreciated.
