PandaMattMatt Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) Toriniti-Ketsueki Description:. Toriniti-Ketsueki, or Trinity Blood, allows for the carrier to utilize their blood in three distinct ways. In the first way, the blood becomes potent poison when it is altered by the Chuugi’s chakra. It is very common for those of the Chuugi clan to apply blood to their weapons, in order to introduce it into the system of an enemy. The second ability of the bloodline is that of its Healing capabilities. When applied to a wound, or ingested, it nearly instantly heals the target, even when the user has no medical training at all. The third and final ability of the bloodline is its defensive properties. When spread onto a surface then forced to coagulate with chakra, it becomes a nearly impenetrable shield. Demonic Blood This is the poisonous property of the Chuugi clan bloodline. Rank 1:. Description:. By forcing a certain kind of chakra through their bloodstream, the Chuugi can alter their blood to be a highly toxic poison. If the blood of a Chuugi enters the bloodstream of the Opponent, via jutsu or weapon, then the poison eats away at everything within the blood cells of the Opponent. Restriction: For all Trinity Blood Techniques involving the use of blood, a second set-up phase is needed to apply the blood if the User wishes to add the effects to a non-Chuugi Style Blood Weapon. Effect:. The User may apply Demonic Blood to weapons and Chuugi clan techniques. One entire set-up phase must be used to draw blood each and every time it is applied to a weapon or technique. At this time, the user must state how much blood (health) they are losing. If applied to a weapon or technique that is launched at an enemy, assuming the attack hits, the rate of which the blood reduces health is 1/1, for every 1 point of health used, the Opponent will lose 1 point of health each turn from poison. This damage Cannot go above 25 health (damaging the Opponent) per turn. After being infected by the poisonous blood, the Opponent must roll a 10 sided die each turn. On a roll of an Odd number, the poison is still active. On a roll of an Even number, the poison is neutralized. Cost:. -1 [Taken at character creation -only-] Rank 2: Description: By forcing a certain kind of chakra through their bloodstream, the Chuugi can alter their blood to be a highly toxic poison. This damage Cannot go above 75 health (damaging the Opponent) per turn. After being infected by the poisonous blood, the Opponent must roll a 10 sided die each turn. On a roll of an Odd number, the poison is still active. On a roll of an Even number, the poison is neutralized. Cost:. -1 [May be taken at or after Level 30 or Chuunin Equivalence]. Rank 3:. On a roll of an Odd number, the poison is still active. On a roll of an Even number, the poison is neutralized. Cost:. -1 [May be taken at or after Level 50 or Jounin Equivalence]. Angelic Blood This is the healing property of the Chuugi clan bloodline.. Rank 1: Description: The blood of a Chuugi may go from being an extremely potent poison to a miraculous cure-all. Simply by sending waves of specified chakra through their bodies, receptors in the blood cells respond accordingly with the waves. Each golden drop of blood, in this aspect of the bloodline, works with other body systems to repair damaged cells at an accelerated rate. Restriction: For all Trinity Blood Techniques involving the use of blood, a second set-up phase is needed to apply the blood if the User wishes to add the effects to a non-Chuugi Style Blood Weapon. Effect: The User may apply Angelic Blood to a weapon. One entire set-up phase must be used to draw blood, while another is used to coat the weapon with blood. Assuming that the weapon successfully hits the target, the rate at which health is restored is 1/1 to a maximum of 50 health points healed. On top of healing, if the target is infected by a tier 1 poison, that poison is nullified. Cost: -2 [Taken at character creation -only-]. Rank 2:. Description:. Aegis Blood This is the defensive property of the Chuugi clan bloodline.. Rank 1:. Description:. The third aspect of the Chuugi bloodline has the capability to become an impenetrable shield. By sending another kind of specialized chakra wave through the body, blood cells respond by coagulating at an accelerated rate when exposed to oxygen. What forms, as everyone knows, is a scab, but not an ordinary one. This dried blood is unbreakable and impossible to get off of an object without chakra from a Chuugi. Restriction: For all Trinity Blood Techniques involving the use of blood, a second set-up phase is needed to apply the blood if the User wishes to add the effects to a non-Chuugi Style Blood Weapon. Effect:. Once per battle the user may use their Setup Phase and pay 50 Health Points to apply this skill to themselves or a weapon. If applied to themselves, the user gains +10% base Defense value for the following five turns. If applied to a weapon, the weapon gains "Indestructible" for the rest of the battle. To apply Aegis Blood to anything, item or self, the User must spend their main phase doing so. Cost:. -2 [Taken at character creation -only-]. Rank 2:. Azure Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Make a note that all of these are done in the Set-Up or Main phases, requiring an action to be used. Angelic Blood should be done in the Main Phase only since it's basically a healing jutsu without the need for skills or mods. In Aegis blood, note that it should be base defense increase. That's what jumped at me this second, I'll make another review later.
PandaMattMatt Posted September 7, 2010 Author Posted September 7, 2010 OK. I already had those added into the Attention! portion of each of the three abilities, I made them much more noticeable now.
cntrstrk14 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Demonic Blood There are a few things here that you need to define more clearly. First off, I want to say that many of these abilities read more like techniques than they do skills. They may need to be changed a bit in order to work. 1.) When is the amount of health loss determined? You say it is on a 1:1 basis, but you never state when this is decided. It may be in the setup phase when you draw, but like I said, unclear. 2.) What is the cap? As it stands now, if you were to use this and had more HP than the opponent, you would automatically win. 3.) It also does not make much logical sense to me, as it seems like if they are infected with the poison, you can lower your health as a free action to lower theirs as well. I believe you will need descriptions for each of these ranks as well as the overall description. Angelic Blood My concern here is that we balance healing jutsu and the ability to heal other players with the loss of offensive capabilities. As you can see in the path of the medic, the further you get into the path the harder it becomes to deal damage. With that said, I am not 100% against this, but I want it to have caps so that you cannot be healing as well as a medical ninja of your rank. Of course, if you are a medic I assume you would be able to heal better than most, so maybe take that into account. Aegis Blood How do you "apply" to an opponent? Is it a main phase attack? What is its chance to hit? Etc? One of our golden rules is that a bloodline cannot directly effect an opponent. If you want this to work, it sounds much more like a technique than a skill.

Edited, determined in the set up phase. the more blood you draw the more damage is done, up to the limit that is. 2.) The cap is already in there. At rank 1 its no more than 25 damage to the opponent per turn. Rank two is no more than 75 damage to the opponent per turn and the final rank cannot go above 125 damage to the opponent per turn. 3.) Edited to be a Main Phase action. The application of blood to weapons and the act of drawing blood shall remain free actions. As for this concern, I have put a limit 50 HP healed at rank 1, 100 hp healed at rank 2, and 200 hp healed at rank 3. I Understand and see what you are saying about the medic thing. Although I feel that a static cap for healing and also the payment of health should be enough, rather than to diminish offensive capabilities. Aegis BloodHow do you "apply" to an opponent? cntrstrk14 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Demonic Blood: Looks much better. For the Angelic Blood: I feel like this should be clarified as to what it is applied to. For instance, you say weapon and I imagine you mean like a syringe or something, but you could, say, apply it to a katana. Then you would be hitting someone with a katana and giving them health? I think maybe you should change this to be an item use only thing and create a specialized syringe or something to inject the blood. So a setup phase to fill the syringe and a main phase to use it on an ally. Drop the part about techniques. Aegis Blood: This feels a lot like a technique as it is. Also, "Unbreakable" isn't an attribute (as far as I am aware). Rather, let's try something like this... Rank 1:. Cost:. -2 [Taken at character creation -only-]. Lastly, a little off topic, but your colors clash a bit. Maybe choose different shades of red for these? Or something that matches better x:
PandaMattMatt Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Edited everything to your specifications. As for Angelic Blood I have put in that it may be applied to a Chuugi Style Blood Weapon. I will link to them when I make them *working on it now.* Oh and as for your request of fixing the clashing colors Edited, although I used purple since the clan's base color is purple and different shades mean different ranks and such. So I hope it clashes less but still visually distinguishes them.
