계몽 천둥과 번개의 -- Taijutsu Style

Enlightenment of Thunder and Lightning

Description: A long forgotten art, due to the art being passing through the generations one student at a time. EOTL had long gotten rid of the traditional movements and forms. Instead being taught so that each successor could incorporate EOTL into their own personal fighting style as a way to advance the art. Using the "quality, not quantity" approach, the art relies on having a very refined and pure chakra even if not much in amount, instead of enormous quantity of unrefined chakra. The breathing method is the key to purifying the chakra to be used, similar to how only pure uranium can be used to create an atomic explosion. The practitioner takes Yin and Yang chakra and turns them into negative and positive charges which are then collided. The focal point of breathing is Yin of inhaling (negative charge) and Yang of exhaling (positive charge). Due to the Metal element's presence in the body, the user's body is very tough.

Effect: In addition to gaining super charges through successful strikes with EOTL techniques, the user may also spend a set-up phase purifying their chakra to gain an additional super charge(this takes up set-up phase action). Super Charges can be used in three ways:

1. The user may spend a super charge to do 10x% base stamina damage from EOTL taijutsu techniques. Where x is the number of charges used. [stamina damage receives no modifiers]

2. The user may pay all five (5) charges to 'overcharge' or maximize the base damage of any EOTL technique for that turn(ie: Chuunin level taijutsu technique now base maxed at 150). However, after said technique has been used, whether successful or not, the user takes 10% of that back as damage and spends the next turn under the status effect stunned.

3. The user may perform techniques that require the use of Super Charges.

Requirements: RP-guide

- Can only be obtained via PC interaction.

- Character must have dense musculature, not necessarily bulky(ie: bruce lee) but cannot be thin or lacking of a tough body. Only exception is to female characters. Which still cannot be described as frail.

- Personal to Uchiha Edolian

Cost: -1

Note(s):

  • Purifying the chakra to gain a charge uses up the set-up phase action.
  • First effect takes from the potential health damage from the technique. So if you apply 3 super charges to a taijutsu. Then 30% of the potential damage targets the Stamina tank while the other 70% targets health. (ex: 100 pdg. 30% = 30 Sdmg. While 70dmg to health)
  • The second is fair. As the user is damaged whether the technique is a hit, gets blocked, or straight up misses. Along with being stunned regardless of hitting or not.
  • My mess up. I meant style techniques. Just noticed it.
  • 레앋Y 토 고. (Ready to go)

-My major concern with this is that Gennin Level Taijutsu Techniques aren't allowed to do Stat Additions/Subtractions, and this would allow you to do that. See:Taijutsu.

2. The user may pay all five (5) charges to 'overcharge' or maximize the base damage of any EOTL technique for that turn(ie: Chuunin level taijutsu technique now base maxed at 150). I'm confused. Genin techniques can't damage an opponent's stamina or chakra? I'm just trying to understand. As I wouldn't have thought damaging chakra or stamina was considered 'stat addition/subtraction' I thought that was more on the lines of nin, gen, tai, eva stats. Because I believe Peace(or maybe skittz) just got a genin technique approved that was basically chakra kyuushu (chakra absorption).

Yeah, I derp'd. I guess Chakra and Stamina are covered in their own separate subsection later down [and that when it says "Stats", it doesn't include "Tank Stats" under Jutsu rules]. My bad.

Still seems a bit OP, because at Jounin/Sennin levels this would be twice as effective at lowering Stamina then any non-style Technique could [you'd be paying a 1:2 Ratio instead of a 1:1].

How is it overpowered? As your splitting the damage a technique can do. So if your technique is 120 total health damage. Lets say you use 3 charges for 30%. Well now you can apply 36 of that damage into your opponent's stamina. While the health potential damage is reduced to 84. So, your sacrificing the potential health damage. Not gaining new damage for free.

I can see it costing more than -1 sp though. But I don't see it being overpowered.

edit- I did notice my mess up. I meant EOTL techniques. Changed it to match that.

Maybe I'm just durfing on math, or your skill, or something, but this is how I look at it:

You have a Jounin Level technique that does, whatever, 500 Base Damage at a 1:2 Ratio, so it costs you 250 DP. You decided to spend 5 Charges on it to to do 250 Damage to Stamina, and 250 Damage to Health.

However, if you were to make a technique that just dealt 250 Stamina Damage [without this skills, just, normal cost ratio of 1:1] it would cost you 250 DP to do the Stamina Damage alone, without doing any HP damage or effects, and is completely unmodified.

Give or take that a charge is worth 40 DP, you wouldn't manage to do more then 90 Stamina max if you were using the normal cost ratio for Chakra/Stamina Damage.

Unless I'm epic failing at this, for which I apologize.

Changed it to unmodified base damage, I am okay with this.
