Cloudnine Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 (edited) Hagemasu Taijutsu: Premeditation Type: Taijutsu [Hagemasu] Rank: Chuunin Cost: 75 stamina Damage: -- Effect: Can be used in the Setup phase, but then only basic attacks can be used in the Main phase. User gains 1 Pressure charge and 1 turn of Haste. Limit to 3 uses per battle. Description: The staple of the Hagemasu Taijutsu style, the Hagemasu takes a pause from combat to focus on channeling their stored pressure. Not only can this increase the strength of their blows, but under some situations, the technique is capable of rejuvenating the body. Points: 3 Hagemasu Taijutsu: Knockdown Type: Taijutsu [Hagemasu] Rank: Jounin Cost: 200 stamina Damage: 300 Effect: Target is Vulnerable for 1 turn. Description: A cheaper maneuver, the user delivers a blow to the target's chest while sweeping under the target's legs to knock them to the ground. Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 First one; I think we wanted to avoid circumstances where someone could just pop a setup phase technique to gain fighting style charges every turn. That being said, this would probably need a "per-battle" use limit on it- I'll suggest 3. 2nd; Easy peasy; Approved. 3rd; Damage cap for Taijutsu is 800- so that's the most raw damage this technique could do.
Hardcore Skittlez Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 The burn/bleed clause added would be best attempted as a separate jutsu; personally, I have a distaste for a flat cost removing burning/bleeding damage. Also "Limit toe 3 uses per battle.". Three toes a battle, oh my! Third one is app'd.
Cloudnine Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Hookay now they're super simple now!
Warr Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Okay, Jeannie on this following technique: Hagemasu Taijutsu: KnockdownType: Taijutsu [Hagemasu] Rank: Jounin Cost: 200 stamina Damage: 300 Effect: Target is Vulnerable for 1 turn. Can be used with a weapon equipped. Description: A cheaper maneuver, the user delivers a blow to the target's chest while sweeping under the target's legs to knock them to the ground. Points: 5 What do you mean by 'Can be used with a weapon equipped'? About every taijutsu can be used with a weapon equipped... do you mean 'Can be used with a weapon equipped' or 'can add the weapon's damage to this technique'? Because they're total different things, and we need to be clear here as with all techniques.
Cloudnine Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 I thought you couldn't usually hold a weapon and use a Taijutsu at the same time. But I meant that the weapon can still be drawn, but doesn't affect the damage. @__@
Tsu Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) @Cloudnine Sometimes things change on Ninja Academy, it is a fact of life here, occasionally we roll out changes on a full update. More often however staff will “Hotfix” an issue. That is precisely what has happened to Taijutsu Charges! That is why your technique has been moved back to the Custom Forums, below I’ve listed a quick guide to help you understand the new costing that, we as staff, are going to adhere to. I hope it helps! Feel free to direct any additional questions to your nearest friendly staff member. Quote • If a Taijutsu wants to gain bonus <Taijutsu Style> Charges on a successful hit, it will raise the cost of the jutsu by 30 or 120 depending on whether they want +1 or +2 Charges. This means that if a jutsu wants to gain +2 additional Charges on a successful hit (a total of 3 Charges) it will cost +120 CP. A Taijutsu attack may not gain more than +2 additional charges. • Techniques that give a character <Taijutsu Style> Charges without needing to hit an opponent have some specific concerns. o May not target an opponent. o May not be used in the Setup Phase. o May gain at most two (2) charges in a single jutsu. o Cost 40 CP for one charge, 100 CP for two charges. o May not target anyone aside the user. A technique may not exist that gives an ally bonus <Taijutsu Style> Charges. o Must be specific <Taijutsu Style> Charges. Cannot make a jutsu that gains generic Charges.
