Name: Synapse Hacking: Frozen Mechanics
Type: Genjutsu [Elemental Archetype: Lightning]
Rank: Chuunin
Cost: 140
Damage: 50
Effects: Target is 'Stunned' and ‘Vulnerable’ for one turn.
Description: The user forms the hand seals while accessing the appropriate algorithm for the task at hand. The user accelerates the firing synapses to the point that their muscles simply stop responding all together, due to the muscles being sent commands to constrict and relax at the same time to create movement.
Points: 5

Name: Synapse Hacking: Database Query Disruption
Type: Genjutsu [Elemental Archetype: Lightning]
Rank: Chuunin
Cost: 120
Damage: 50
Effects: Target is 'Quarantine: Ninjutsu' for two turns.
Description: The user forms the hand seals while accessing the appropriate algorithm for the task at hand. In the target’s mind, the user confuses the hand seal definitions and formations along with the specific chakra required to use their jutsu, leaving them confused to why its simply not working.
Points: 4

Name: Synapse Hacking: Defensive Fortification
Type: Genjutsu [Elemental Archetype: Lightning | Barrier | Response Phase]
Rank: Chuunin
Cost: 150
Ghost Barrier Health: 250
Effects: Response phase jutsu to protect user from Genjutsu attacks only and dissipates at end of response phase. Can only be used in the response phase against attacks of equal or lesser rank and when used in the response phase the user loses their main phase action. Used once per battle. The jutsu has a 30% chance of failure
Description: The user, under threat of a mental attack, forms the hand seals in combination with chakra to enhance their concentration and mental acuity, creating a guarded state which they imagine as a series of locked gates within their mind.
Points: 5

Quarantine; Ninjutsu: You cannot use Ninjutsu. A character may only be affected by any 'Quarantine' effects for a maximum of three (3) turns throughout the entire battle. Using multiple 'Quarantine' effects at a time takes up multiple turn uses.
Max Duration: 3
CP: 40/turn

Stunned: You lose your next Main Phase. You are not affected by this Status Effect if you were "Stunned" in the previous post. A character may only be afflicted with "Stunned" for three (3) total turns per battle.
Max Duration: 1 turn
CP: 50/turn

Vulnerable: You lose your next Response Phase. You are not affected by this Status Effect if you were "Vulnerable" in the previous post. A character may only be afflicted with "Vulnerable" for three (3) total turns per battle.
Max Duration: 1 turn
CP: 50/turn

Frozen Mechanics and Database Query Disruption: APP'D

Defensive Foritication: Due to this being a genjutsu barrier, it requires special attention and pricing. I'm not exactly certain what that should be, so I'll have a mod check this out.

Okay, I'm sorry this took me a little while to get to. I've been kind of mulling it over the last couple of days and have really had to consider it from the ground up, as there aren't many(if any) current genjutsu barrier/shields. Before I tell you my diving-board assessment, I'm going to say that: Barriers that block Genjutsu are a very potent tool, given that Genjutsu use as a playstyle focuses very strongly on control and manipulation rather than outright damage. In the current form, this barrier could block most even Jonin level genjutsu, simply because they lack the necessary Ghost Damage to bypass it. This is more of a symptom of the way that barriers on their own work, but forcing a genjutsu technique to deal comperable damage to a ninjutsu one is unreasonable and often impossible. Ghost Damage has no mitigating factor, but it is for that reason that it receives less than half of standard modifier values. That all being said, this is what I've come up with as the special considerations for basic genjutsu barriers, such as the one seen here.

1. Usable once per battle.

2. A Genjutsu Barrier uses ratios as if it were one rank lower. For example, a Jonin barrier would use Chunin level cost/effect ratios here. Since the Genin rank does not have a listed cost:effect ratio, we assume that it is 1:1 based on previous precedents(Aragane clan barrier restoration is what comes immediately to mind.)

3. A Genjutsu Barrier may modify the above two rules only at the expense of an additional chance to fail. Each additional use per battle, beyond the first, will raise the barrier's chance to fail by 20%. If one intends to use the standard ratios for their rank, that would increase the barrier's chance to fail by 25%.

Ah, I think I was a little unclear on point number 2. I edited my post to be more clear-- it adds 20% fail chance for each additional use beyond the first. Since this one only has one use, but keeps standard ratios, the fail chance would be 30%(5% base + 25%).
