When we do trades like this should we keep track that it was bought with Merchant? When things are liquidated we go back and check how much was actually paid. Either a link to their purchase or a note that they were bought at less would be good. Saying $1200 in both of these is a bit misleading for the eventual staff work that has to be done.

Yeah, I think you're right about keeping track of them. We could probably just list the value with something like:

Cost: 1200 両 600 両 (Merchant: 10 Discounted)

 

Alternatively, the "actual cost" could just be removed and replaced with the discounted one on their character sheet.
