Name: Locust Swarm Type: Genjutsu Rank: Gennin Cost: 40 Damage: 10 Ghost Damage Effects: -30 Defense, Distracted Effect [-25% penalty to Evasion.] Description: The target is lead to believe that a horde of locust appeared from behind the user and target him to sting their body mercilessly. The distraction is enough to significantly drop their defenses towards the user as they swat at thin air. Name: Wraith Gauntlets Type: Genjutsu Rank: Gennin Cost: 10 to activate, 6/strike Damage: 9 Ghost Damage/strike Effect: Activated in setup phase, the damage is cummulative Description: The user lashes out at the target with more than their pugilistic endeavors. With each blow that lands, the target's mental guard is lowered for a small telepathic assault. Name: Windwalker Type: Ninjutsu Rank: Gennin Cost: 20, 10 to maintain Damage: N/A Effects: +20 to Evasion, usable at setup phase Description: The user creates buffets of wind under their feet and walks on the pockets of air created. The technique leaves neither footprints nor scent traces to track user. The technique also heightens the user's evasive measures. Restriction: Requires surface (solid, liquid, or with more density than oxygen) for air to act as cushion against. Name: Pummeling Pistons Type: Taijutsu Requirements: 4 arms, whether physical limbs or elemental tendrils. Rank: Gennin Cost: 50 Damage: 50 Effects: Multi-Attack Jutsu 10 blows Description: The user restrains the target with one set of arms from behind in the full nelson while using the other set to deliver 10 rapid punches to the target's ribs, kidney, liver, and smaller back region. Edit: Altered wording and style of tech. Edit: Made 3 levels, increased cost. The scorpions mold a clay body with the chakra and genetic memory from our symbiotic connection. Remember, I have scorpions on the character's body on a constant basis exchanging liquids and venoms. It is closer to beast imitation than a bushin, for clones of this sort go poof. These require animals, in this case, insects, and further, scorpions. comprende?

The clone receives the physical combat arts from the user along with applicable skills. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like this Jutsu, as it is kinda like a Bunshin, but that they can only perform physical attacks. However, how are the stats divided? If it is just 1/4 divided any way you choose, then this is going to be a lot more expensive. If you are calling it a 'clone' then it falls under 'Bunshin Rules' which means that if opponent attacks your character and misses, a clone is destroyed. There are a lot more things to work out... but I will agree with Azrael that this form of the Jutsu is more advanced. Here is how a Gennin level Jutsu would be: Health of Scorpion Clone is 1. Every other stat is 1/4 that of the user, Nin/Gen Sealed. May use Taijutsu techniques known by the user. I like how the scorpions take 2 turns to arrive. Those are my thoughts.

I thought it was a mispelling. My bad. Edited it to take out the word 'clone' because they are scorpions which clay body armor to mimick the character's appearance. Edited stat total to give it 1/4 of all stats with nin/gen sealed. The reason I can't make HP 1 is because of the shell itself. What type of armor is worth 1 HP?

Anyways you can always intoruce a stronger version for Chuunin and Jounin Level. Then again its an adminsopinion... not mine that counts.
Kido Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 not clones...they are not clones.... Use brood instead of clone. An army of similar ants aren't cloned, they are just from the same coven. They are not exact replicas of the character, each retain their own, albeit primal, predatory thought patterns. They know who their master is, they know who are the enemies, they attack the enemy. Clone= perfected replica of one person at an instant of time.

Maybe make it have like 50 HP tops. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but to me it looks like it's HP is 1/4 urs, it's Stamina=1/4 urs, etc.

You should only be allowed to make -ONE- scorpion per RANK, because it will be way too powerful at high levels. That being said, get rid of the 2-turn delay. Of course, if it is going to be broken up into Ranks, then you'll have lvls 1-3 of this. Cost per Scorpion is going to be around 80-100. Instead of saying 'receives the physical combat arts from the user along with applicable skills' there should be NO skills given to the scorpions. They scorpions 'may use any Taijutsu known by the user' Giving skills to Scorpions will increase the cost a lot more.

Because I don't see a guidline for it. @ Prophet: That's how I figured it. If the beast imitation was 1/2 the owner's stats, I thought it would be of the same state as well. Edit: Made 3 levels, increased cost. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is a very nice set of Jutsu, and is great at Gennin Level. For Chuunin put a lvl 30 restriction. It is too easy to be a lvl 20 Chuunin (or be lower than that level and be a Chuunin, actually) Four Jounin put a lvl 40 restriction. I'm a little iffy on the Scorpion Brood being able to perform Nin/Gen as well at a later level, as you are giving the higher ranking ones a stat increase. My worry is that your Scorpion Brood will then just use their own Scorpion Brood, and thus you'll have a veritable army within an army, and at a high level, it would be pretty powerful indeed.
