This is custom of the Shikisai Maruchipuru. Give me some time :3 ~User Data~ -Posting: Everyday, mostly. -Time Zone: Central ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Vital Statistics~ Name: Koto Misora Clan: Birthplace:Oto Village Current Residence: (Feel free to just state a village, or be more specific) Age: 14 D.O.B.: 12/12/2109 Sex: Female ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Appearance~ -Height: 4'10" -Weight: 93lbs -Hair Color: White -Eye Color: Red -Clothing: Kimono with hakama pants -Physical Description: Misora isn't very tall, and at only the height of 4'10" and 93 lbs, she could be tossed rather easily. However, Misora doesn't let her lack of stature deter her. Perhaps for that very reason the girl, fights fiercely. But the girl isn't only small, but she has a seemingly frail appearance. The only thing the girl was blessed with by the gods was a narrow waist. Everything else is lacking. Misora doesn't have large breasts, perhaps size B at best. And the only idea of her rear is a subtle curve. The girl also lacks body fat. If it weren't for the muscles she acquired over her years of training, the girl would probably resemble a skeleton. But somehow the girl remains soft despite this. Misora is of fair complexion bordering pale. And the girl probably would have been such had it not been for the missions she had her team were assigned to. But what brings out her complexion is her Silver mane. Her bangs are cropped jaggedly to rest above her crimson gaze. Large clumps of her silver hair, frame her slightly square face. These clumps begin large and thin out as they descend a few inches below her small perky breasts. The remainder of her hair is arranged in high pigtails that fall far enough to touch her shoulders. These pigtails are bound by golden clamps with ruby colored "eyes". And attached to these hair clamps are frilled black ribbons. Her thin silver brows rest above her eyes as it does for all mortals. Her eyes. What could be said about that longing gaze? The pupils' hue is of blood which has longed dried, while the rims surrounding these pupils can be best described as a fierce red. And brimming around such a color is a thin layer the same hue as her pupils. Her nose is small and dainty and barely visible on her face. The same could be said about her lips unless they are altered by some rush of emotion, which doesn't occur too often. Her attire top resembles a kimono. The piece folds over itself, from the left side and his held fast by a string just below her breasts. Tied at the top, these strings make a zig-zag design until they reach her navel. But just below her navel, the top opens up once more and flutters to perhaps her calves. Attached at her lower back is a red bow whose legs fall to the floor. There are also slits in the shoulder of the piece, which reveal the skin which lies beneath. The sleeves end about two-three inches from her small wrists. But what are most striking about this elaborate top are its colors and designs. Grey, orange, gold, black, wine red; these are only a few of the various colors which decorate her top. The colors are arranged in stripped patterns in large and small forms on this attire. And the girl wears hakama pants that resemble the pattern and color of her kimono top. Coiled around her arms in a criss-crossed manner are thin ribbons. On her right arm, this black ribbon begins from the about the middle of her forearm and end at her hand, the tie resting over her knuckles. On her left arm is a red ribbon. It too begins from her forearm, but ends at her wrist. Shoes were not necessary to her people, but the need to protect their feet still was. So, bandages were wrapped around her feet to protect them. But the bandages use does not end there. These restraints are also wrapped around the girl's breasts to act as a kind of support. And they're also wrapped around her pelvic area to hinder prying eyes. Her beloved sword is tightly bound by the red bow at her lower back. The sword is positioned in an upright position, but wobbles with each step the girl backs. But when it is time to wield this sword, Misora yanks the sheath itself undoing the neatly tied bow. Her gong however, is not paraded around on her back. Instead the small cymbal rest beneath her kimono top and is tied loosely to the belt of her hakama pants. The hand hammer rest on the opposite side concealed and attached by a strung which also is loosely tied to the belt of her Hakama pants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~Persona~ Personality: Misora is a woman of few words. But these words are so few the girl doesn't speak at all. "Thoughts are expressed in the form of music and gestures. And to do so otherwise is forbidden." That is the law of her people and because Misora was brought up as an obedient child, she must uphold that law. However, living in a world that is ruled by verbalization has left Misora alienated. Because of this, the girl isn't fond of large crowds. In fact, Misora out right avoids them unless there is no alternative. Instead she watches the crowds from a distance, where she can not be seen, but can see them. People other then her own have the girl very curious, however. This curiosity is fueled by the rumors her people would tell her as a child and her experiences regarding the Sound Village. Frankly, the children had confirmed her suspicions of them, but the girl still believes that not all people are cruel and ignorant. And that is why she watches; to prove herself and her people wrong. However, there is another reason to the girl's distant, yet close proximity to crowds and people. Misora has lived much of her life surrounded by large amounts of people. And to suddenly not have that has left the girl lonely as well as fearful. To watch people, is a way to soothe her fears. And to be surrounded by creatures comforts her. So, the girl doesn't fear unless there is an absence of life. When this occurs the girl becomes jittery and well as very cautious. Otherwise, Misora has a calm demeanor. She isn't fazed by many situations, but she does get easily irritated by emotional people. It is something she is not accustomed to, therefore the girl reacts in the form of mild aggression. The girl is also quite serious. One wouldn't call this a normalcy for her people, because there were stern people in every culture. However, Misora worked best when she put her whole energy into it. This seriousness began as tact then sprung into a habit which finally grew into a lifestyle. The girl can be too serious at times-well most times. And this can also lead people to believe her to be proud-which she is. But that's something the girl would never admit. But if one wished to see Misora without her stoic mask all one had to do was watch her play. When she plays her instruments, her stoic demeanor is etched away to reveal a small smile and sparkling eyes. A person would be able to see this same expression when she communicates with the forest creatures. In her element, the girl is able to let her guard down and enjoy herself. If a person were to feign interest in her pleasures (music, family, animals, training) then they may be able to recieve the same soft reaction. Only one person was able to hear this girl speak and that was her instructor, Jin. When she spoke her words and sentences were awkward and choppy from lack of practice. If a person were lucky enough to hear her speak now, the same would be true. But they would be surprised to know that the seiorus girl harbored such a soft spoken voice. However, the only reason Jin was able to persuade the girl was because she was trusted. And trust from Misora isn't easy to come by. But trying to acquire it with which various question will not help earn it. The girl isn't fond of questions that can't be answered with a nod, shake or a grunt. Nodding isn't only a form of acknowledgement for Misora. It is also a greeting. Bows aren't given unless the girl has much respect for that person. Misora is a picky eater unlike the rest of her family. Being in tuned with nature prevented them from hunting the creatures of the forest. So, the people had become scavengers. However, such a life would not work for Misora. The girl would respect her family’s wishes to respect the animals. But there was no way the girl would eat rotting flesh. So, she became a vegetarian. Was it mentioned that she was picky? Tomatoes, onions, avocados; these are only a few of the food she will not tolerate. But she does love cucumbers; everything else is satisfactory. They were the ones that thought the voice sacred and should be used only when necessary. They believed that sound should be respected and uplifted. What made up these people were naturally those who lacked these gifts: mutes and "defects"(those who couldn't use sound jutsu). Feeling alienated within their own village, these outcasts ventured into the forest to create their own society. There they created a world that suited them; a world where words were replaced by music and hand gestures. They respected and praised the creatures that tended and watched over them. The winged creatures were praised for their sharp eyes and large cries when danger approached. And their voices were mimicked because of admiration. The large beasts were respected and feared for their power and aggression. And lastly, the slim and swift creatures were praised for their agility and speed as well as their wit. In praise and respect these two were also mimicked. These people made their dwellings within the trees in the heart of the forest by building crud houses that rested atop the branches. However, these homes were only resting places and the people usually spent their time on the ground. They spent their days in music, dance, and formulating jutsu which suited them. It was rare for them to be bothered by the main village. Only those with much bravado dared, only to be frightened off. It was also rare for these people to venture back into the main village. They only did so when they had to trade food (they were scavengers otherwise) they could not find in nature, or to enroll their children into the academy. However, the only way these people would be serviced is if they wore brightly colored apparel to be identified. From this sprung their name: Shikisai Maruchipuru (multiple hue). The Shikisai Maruchipuru was made of two types of people: mutes and those of lacked sound jutsu skills. But their strengths had made up one another's weaknesses. The mutes ended up being looked at as the protectors of their world through the eyes of the outside world. And the "defects" the workers. However, in truth, the protectors needed the workers just as the workers needed them. The workers had honed on other abilities such as home building, blacksmithing, and especially music. It was the workers that had discovered that music was life. One could befriend a creature depending on how the notes moved. But even within that particular species, there were different variations of that song. The workers had been the ones to teach the protectors how to use an instrument. Alas, not every being is gifted at an instrument. The protectors who couldn't play used the musicians as their left arm. The protectors were the soldiers of the society. They utilized their sound jutsu and the acquired skill of the musicians to complete their tasks. It wasn't often, they used sound to kill. Creatures and people alike would deter once hearing their music. One might think that this task could have been done by the musicians. However, the protectors used their mastery of sound to carry the music further. Protectors and their left arms were usually composed of the opposite sex. It isn't known why this was done, However it is speculated that this combination is for breeding purposes. There are different variations as well, however. Two protectors could bond as well as two workers; and the sub culture within the workers could mix with protectors and musicians alike. Regardless of the combination, rearing children was also the task of the community. A child didn't merely have a pair of parents or a few siblings. The Shikisai Maruchipuru was one; they thought themselves as one family. This was thought to strengthen their bonds and ensure their survival. That being said, Misora was physically born within a small family. Besides herself, she had two older siblings, Ayaka (19) and Hibiki (23). Ayaka was bubbly girl with a pleasant personality. The same couldn't be said about the eldest sister. However, she was one of the best uprising protectors (she was skilled in both sound jutsu and various instruments). Her parents were from each group. Her father was a worker, a gather to be exact. Her mother was a mute and because of this, she was naturally a protector. Her father, Fumito was a simple man and not very demanding. He was content doing his gathering and that's where he spent his time. The community was made up of a hundred or so people. Gathering was therefore an on going task for Fumiko and the other gathers. Her mother, Hanaye was a rash and domineering woman. She was competitive and expected the same of her off springs. But to the woman's disappointment, she couldn't teach them how to be musicans. She even had to depend on someone who wasn't her partner to be her left arm. Luckly for Misora there were other people that could provide her with instrumental lessons. The first instrument the girl had learned was the drum- the taiko to be more specific. Her teacher was a middle aged man named Hideki. Back at the Sound village he was well known for his skills as a drummer. However, because he was a defect, he wasn't respected. So, he ended up as a Shikisai Maruchipuru when he left. During his life as a Shikisai Maruchipuru, he had taught many children and Misora wasn't the brightest. She didn't have much rthytm when it came to striking the drums. Her timing was awkward and rushed. It wasn't until, Misora learned her second instrument that she had become better accustomed to the Taiko. Huyu was not only one of the protectors but a brass musician as well. The man always had a distant look in his eyes that reminisced about the past. Honestly, the man would have preferred to return to his old home in the Sound village. But because he was a mute he too had to depart. Misora wasn't his star pupil (Hibiki was), but she was a quick learner. Though her eldest sister was the best upcoming player and protector, Misora was able to adapt to different instruments much more quickly. She didn't think of it as much, but Huyu told her that such a skill would be her strength one day. String instruments were Misora's third instrument and her teacher was none other then Jin. Unlike many of the Shikisai Maruchipuru, her cause for being abandoned by the main village was different. She wasn't a mute or a defect and she was probably the only person that would admit of their ability to speak. Back at the sound village, she had settled down from her ninja days. The man she had planned to settle with was killed in a mission while she still held her youthful beauty. But when the Shikisai Maruchipuru wanted to break free from their oppression, because Jin agreed with their views had to go with them. Misora was an adequate student, but she was always ready to learn. Jin had taught her all the stringed instruments, but the young girl had much preferred the guitar. There was something else Jin had taught the girl or at least tried. It was forbidden to verbalize thoughts. If one were caught doing so, that person was punishment. The consequence could have been as mild as humiliation to being banished altogether. The severity all depended on the person and the numbers of times they spoke. Jin made the girl promise her she would not utter a word to the community. The girl agreed and from that began her speech lessons. The girl knew the law regarding such well and was very obedient of it. The girl was well revered for her obedience. During the first few times Jin spoke, Misora would plug her ears with her hands and feel shame when she was asked to repeat the elderly woman. Jin knew that this task would be difficult, but she didn't think Misora would react in such a way. So, instead Jin told the young girl to only listen to her words. And perhaps such a task could inspire the girl to take a little risk. Jin told the girl of her life at the Sound village from the day of her childhood to the time she came to dwell as a Shikisai Maruchipuru. Such stories fascinated Misora. As there secret conversation became a routine, Misora grew bolder. She had never saw life outside of the Shikisai Maruchipuru. And she assumed that people other then them were cruel people. Jin told her otherwise, but she wouldn't tell the girl more until she spoke one word; for ever piece of information Misora had to utter a word. Misora finally agreed and so began her speech lessons. Itsuo was Misora's third instructor and he had mastery of the flute. Itsuo was a strong man. He doubled as one of the blacksmith's in the community, but being a musician was his life. Itsuo was another person whose case was different. He became a Shikisai Maruchipuru merely because he thought it would be more exciting. He wasn't a mute himself or a defect. The sound village was his home, but the gruff man spent his younger days traveling the world. He experienced different people, different cultures. He decided to return home when he wanted to settle down for a few years. And when the Shikisai Maruchipuru’s situation occurred, Itsuo became one as well. Misora was an exceptional student. Her fingers were accurate and swift. She was able to perform songs not even her sister, Hibiki could on this instrument. And because of quick adaption, Misora was sometimes used as a left arm of one of the protectors. The remaining instruments were learned at relatively the same time. Because of her prior experience, Misora was able to adapt well to various percussion instruments taught by Kazu. She was also taught the remaining woodwind instruments by Chiya. Kazu and Chiya were close friends and the youngest of of Misora's instrumental instructors. Kazu was a musician as well one of the many cooks for the community. Chiya was the left arm of one of the protectors. The two of them grew up together within the Sound Village. And their life was decent within the village. Despite their setbacks (both being mutes and defects), were treated well. But they still felt alienated and when the Shikisai Maruchipuru left, so did they. Music wasn't the only thing that was taught to the Shikisai Maruchipuru children. Fighting was also a big part of their life. Each child has a weapon crafted just for them before they can even walk. Their chosen weapons are decided based on the child's temperament as a babe. A patient child received a particular pole arm; a cunning child had Chained/Corded Weapons or ranged weapons crafted for them; and the swift, the alert children were bestowed the sword. Misora had her own sword known as the Uchigatana. However, the girl, like all children, was unable to have their weapon until their first mission as a ninja. But they were trained with similar weapons to get the feel of it. Shikisai Maruchipuru children were also taught to feed themselves for when they had to venture into the world themselves. The people as a whole were scavengers. This was done because they respected the creatures too much to kill them. And when scavenging for carouses and likes weren't possible, the Shikisai Maruchipuru feasted upon vegetation. In the Shikisai Maruchipuru's world, a child is taught once they are able to walk stable steps, so Misora's music lessons, her experiences began when she was four. It took roughly around three-four years (13 years collectively) for Misora to get acquainted with her instruments. And during this ordeal, the girl attended the academy within the Sound Village. Her experience was filled with awkwardness and uncertainty. The children would stare and mock her because of her customs. This only confirmed the stories that were told to her back at home and hardened her heart for the children. Misora exceed in the basic classes of the academy. The art of sneak attacks, fighting, those were skills that were taught to the children of the Shikisai Maruchipuru at an early age. However, Misora was not skilled at ranged attacks nor did she bother to avoid attacks. She was told by her instructor that a being ninja didn't second chances and that her attacks could get her killed. Her improvement of these faults weren't exceptional, but they were enough for her to pass the Academy. Her life as a genin, was in shackles so to speak. Her people left the Sound Village to be free only to send their children back. Because the Sound Village still serviced her people, they were indebt to them. When the Sound Village called for her people to do a task, they were obligated solely for the fact of being able to attend the Sound Village's schools for ninjas. And Misora was called away on many missions. She and other Shikisai Maruchipuru ninjas were not placed within the same teams. They were separated among the ninjas of the Sound Village (unless it was a suicide mission). The Village didn't want an act of betrayal and felt the Shikisai Maruchipuru would be less likely to do so if out of their element. When the girl and her team weren't being sent on missions, they were being trained by their instructor. It was from this instructor that was was better able to wield her weapon. Whenever a weapon was held or used incorrectly, the whole team was punished by having to stand under a waterfall bare for hours. Nudity wasn't held in the same respect by the Shikisai Maruchipuru, but the water was freezing. So, it was quite the deterrent from making a mistake. As time went by and seasons passed, Misora's relationship with her teammates strengthened. They hadn't become as close to acknowledge one another as friends, but as teammates they would gladly give their life for one another. And then time for the Chuunin exam arrived. The exams were deceiving just as they were difficult. Even a mundane task, a simple question could get a team eliminated. The object of the exams was to test the teams' strength as well as their skills as a ninja. Over the course of a few days, the weaker teams were eliminated leaving only the stronger. That's when the battles had begun. On numerous occasions Misora and her team succeeded by the skin of their team. Fighting her own people was most difficult of all. If they were to best her, she would be shamed. But they same applied if she won as well. However, the girl had a mission. If she could win, if she could become stronger, she could free her people from their bondage of the Sound Village. Her lost within the middle of this tournament, but their skills individually as well together was enough for them to pass as Chuunin.
