The Serpent Summons (Including Nagi, Amphisbaena, and Jörmungandr)

Nāgī is one of the only Serpents that Asher can stand. Unlike the others, she is respectful and obedient. It is said that ever since Orochimaru had taken dominance over the snakes and the serpents, that none have conquered the creatures wholly. A sad trait that Asher has slowly found that the serpents are arrogant and quite belligerent, choosing to further their own desires instead of their summoner's. Known for in a pinch causing more problems than solutions, they can often times be a handful to control, unless distinct power is proven to them. For this very reason, Asher tends to pray for the summoning of Nāgī, opposed to the others. Although he has proven his dominance over most of the hierarchy, they remain bothersome and annoying, even whilst committing themselves to the deeds commanded. When relying upon the strict force of a summoned creature, Asher tends to turn to his Hyena branch, instead of the Serpents. However, Nāgī tends to Asher quite well, boasting medical knowledge, and seems to be an appropriate companion when the times call for it.

Zurui-Hebi (Slyness-Serpent Type)

Appearance: Zurui is a small, simple serpent with no outlandish features to him. Typically a dark green in color, he is sometimes mistaken for black. His belly is white, and his eyes are yellow, his body about a foot long. He is fragile and slender, making him worthless in combat. However, he is known to use his size to the disadvantage of the enemy, crawling alongside them and pointing out potential maneuvers, granting the summoner some evasive potential.

Personality: As his name implies, he is cunning and intelligent for a snake. Capable of sniffing out hints of enemy motive or intention, he can provide his summoner with a sense of heightened awareness…if he feels like it. Lazy and annoying, he seems more prone to whining and being dismissive than helpful at all. When his life is endangered, he complains excessively, and blames the summoner for failing to motivate him to do more. Infantile in both age, capability, and apparently attitude, Zurui is hardly an effective ally.

Baitoichiban-Hebi (First Bite-Serpent Type)

Appearance: As the name implies, at this stage the serpent develops small, pointed teeth. Two elongated shafts have ducts for poison, but seem to yet be in use, due to the youthful age of the serpent. Black in color, his scales are small yet providing defense against the elements. A soft white underbelly is visible, and his eyes are green. A black, forked tongue extends from his chops when he is bored, or ‘sniffing'. Baitoichiban is about three feet long, and comparable to the size of a small dog.

Personality: Baitoichiban loves to bite everything including its master if not careful. Although ineffective as a whole, he tends to become a minor annoyance as he chomps on enemy shins, or some other area. Showing craftful manipulation of Ninjutsu, this is the first form of the serpents that may engage in combat. Intelligent for something so small, it is not uncommon for Baitoichiban to cause some damage to those who underestimate him.

Kagirinaitaba-Hebi (Eternal Coil-Serpent Type)

Appearance: Kagirinaitaba is a handsome, slender serpent. Golden in color, with a beige underbelly, he is beautiful and lithe. Red eyes sparkle as his forked, crimson tongue senses the area around him, and darker spots dapple his dorsal. A bony protrusion extends from the top of his head in a backwards fashion, being the first deviation from a typical serpent. He is surprisingly large, about the size of a child, or half the size of an adult. About four feet long, and beginning to rise form the ground due to depth.

Personality: Cynical and insulting, Kagiirinaitaba is one of the least helpful of all serpents. Choosing to express his own personal taste or opinions, he merely watches more than he acts, and seeks to cause distraction towards the master instead of providing use. Lazy and unwilling to take action, he sighs heavily and rolls his eyes when commanded to perform some feat, and never gives respect to his master, no matter how strong or famous. He is simply an ass.

Type: General (Summon)

Description: Typically, Summoned creatures have a level of Chakra, Life Force, and Physical Energy that is far beyond a Human's. Residing within a dimension has altered the way all three function, and thus are not compatible with the physical plane's.

Effect: Any lesser creature in combat is found to be far at a disadvantage, and must retreat (remain inactive) so long as the summon remains in combat. Due to the sheer size and intimidating features of a summon, it is often times seen to quickly strike fear into the hearts of all lesser creatures.

Musou-Hebi (Dream-Serpent Type)

Appearance: A beautiful serpent, Musou is black with blue and pale green designs, eyes always closed, and a black, forked tongue. A blue underbelly ranks Musou as one of the darkest of snakes, and two 'horns' protrude from either side of his head, in a backwards fashion. Rather large, he is the size of a human, about seven feet long, and has the depth to make him about three-quarters of the natural size of a man.

Personality: Musou is a snake that in strange fashion, is always sleeping. Said to have never been seen awake, he follows the commands of his master as he dreams, and performs even jutsu in this state of mind. Reckless and willing to do whatever the master commands, so long as it is not 'awaken', Musou is one of the few snakes that is easily tolerated, as he does not speak (Perhaps a feature that should appear in the others). Free-spirited despite his hibernation, he puts up little fuss when asked to do something, and instantaneously responds to the will of the one who summons him, believing it will grant him longer time to rest.

An act of devotion, and an effective one at that

Nāgī-Hebi (Nāgī -Serpent Type)

Nāgī is the female form of a Nāga, which tend to be seen as large cobra-type snakes. nāgas are considered nature spirits and the protectors of springs, wells and rivers. They bring rain, and thus fertility, but are also thought to bring disasters such as floods and drought. According to some traditions nāgas are only malevolent to humans when they have been mistreated. They are susceptible to mankind's disrespectful actions in relation to the environment. Since nāgas have an affinity with water, the entrances to their underground palaces are often said to be hidden at the bottom of wells, deep lakes and rivers. The nāgas also carry the elixir of life and immortality. One story mentions that when the gods were rationing out the elixir of immortality, the nāgas grabbed a cup. The gods were able to retrieve the cup, but in doing so, spilled a few drops on the ground. The nāgas quickly licked up the drops, but in doing so, cut their tongues on the grass, and since then their tongues have been forked

Appearance: Approximately about four times the size of a human, Nāgī is different in the sense that she is such in terms of length, not height nor depth. Slender and lithe, her body is blackened coal in color, with dappled specks of an off-white or beige color. Small patterns of indigo form wave-like patterns upon her dark scales, and her belly is white. A long, thick spine extends from her forehead and points behind, but aside from that she resembles any typical serpent. A long, split forked black tongue extends from her white mouth, where four sharpened canines of poisonous attribute lay hidden. Her eyes are reptilian and the pupil is elongated, but the actual color of the eye appears to be a golden hue.

Personality: Rather sweet and tolerable, unlike the other Serpents, Nāgī is the most obedient and balanced of them all. Preferring a sense of loyalty to pride, she is protective and rather fond of her master, curling around an incapacitated body to warm and guard it in hopes to quicker revive him or her. Compassionate, unlike the others, she disregards others unless they are of truly great skill, and will not hesitate to turn to apathy if a moron or otherwise ineffective shinobi addresses her. Powerful yet restrained by command of her master, Nāgī is one of the serpents with a real personality, with a feminine flair to it. Quite possibly one of the more efficient and worthwhile of the gang.

Amphisbaena-Hebi (Double-Head-Serpent Type)

Amphisbaena, also called the Mother of Ants, is a mythological, ant-eating serpent with a head at each end. According to Greek mythology, the mythological amphisbaena was spawned from the blood that dripped from Medusa the Gorgon's head as Perseus flew over the Libyan Desert with it in his hand. Cato's army then encountered it along with other serpents on the march. Amphisbaena fed off of the corpses left behind

Appearance: Amphisbaena is a serpent-like creature that ends with another head, no tail in existence. Typically seen as a dusty colored being, it is gargantuan in relativity to a human being, and with its strange features tend to spawn a variety of interesting maneuvers and abilities. A striking spotted pattern of browns and black line this serpent's body, while a beige underbelly lay beneath. About eight times the size of a human, in both length and height, Amphisbaena is a frightening sight to behold indeed

Personality: Elusive and enigmatic, Amphisbaena keeps to himself, and unlike the younger snakes, seems to respect those who manage to contact him. Capricious in speech and decision, he is of a strange mind, wise yet awkward in his points of view. Talking very little, he is stoic in most situations, and only expresses emotion in only the most bizarre of circumstances. Strangely energetic, Amphisbaena will continually slither or ‘roll' around by hooking one head to the other, following his master unless given some other task to attend to. Jörmungandr -Hebi (Midgard (World) Serpent-Serpent Type)

According to the Prose Edda, Odin took Loki's three children, Fenrisulfr, Hel and Jörmungandr. He tossed Jörmungandr into the great ocean that encircles Midgard. The serpent grew so big that he was able to surround the Earth and grasp his own tail, and as a result he earned the alternate name of the Midgard Serpent or World Serpent

Appearance: Jörmungandr is the king of all serpents, and holds dominance above all snakes as well. Enormous indeed, Jörmungandr is more than hundreds of times larger than a human being, and in terms of length even, almost unbelievable. Rough scales run down the length of this creature, sharpened and thick, colored a strange blend of blackened greens and blues. It is often times said that Jörmungandr's color changes whether he hails from saline water or from fresh, each providing for a more green or blue tint, in accordance to origin. Sharp spines protrude from the back of Jörmungandr's head, laced with a venomous fluid that constantly secretes from glands below the surface, coating him in a vile toxin. Large, thin canines have a unique poison said to be the ‘king of all poisons' flowing within them, rendering a bite quite deadly indeed. However, it seems that a mere bite does not rely upon the jaw-strength of Jörmungandr, as much as the amount of poison used. The mere injection could require little to no force at all, but the Chakra used to pump the venom into the body with immediate result seems to instead take precedence. Despite his size, Jörmungandr is sleek and slender, quite mobile and shockingly lithe. Thick, webbed spines line the back of this creature, providing for more hydrodynamic capability, also having small fin-like projections running along the length of his sides, possibly promoting heightened movement within a body of water. Although visible gills line this serpent's neck, they are not required to breathe, as Jörmungandr also seems to have a pair of lungs, unlike most reptiles. Thin nostrils provide for not only smell, but also an advanced mechanism for sight, as Jörmungandr has limited visual potential.

Personality: The wisest of all Serpents, and the dominant of his family. Said to be the ruler of all serpents and snakes, Jörmungandr only heightens his fearsome visage with his powerful, deep voice and accent. Granting respect to only those who may call upon him, he is loyal and willing to sacrifice himself for his master. Boasting knowledge and experience beyond the years of humans and most other creatures, he speaks only when it is fitting, and only to inform the master of something. His stupidly gargantuan size typically causes him to destroy much of his surroundings, and unlike most, he is willing to apologize for this fact. Polite to others unless his master seems to hold contempt towards them, he does not move unless commanded to do so. Aside from this, Jörmungandr is rather unknown, as he rarely ‘gets to know' anyone, even his master…

Description: Due to the sheer size of the serpent, a simple squeezing motion combined with Chakra to heighten the level of pressure that may be exerted results in the blinding, immobilization, and oxygen deprivation of a target. This will create sensations of drowning, as they cannot manage a breath, and will also render them difficult to move or attack, and will cause blindness as no oxygen reaches the brain

Description: The ninja draws in a deep breath and lets it out in a flame that flies at their opponents in a huge wall of incindiary might. This move is for obvious reasons very difficult to avoid.

Description: The nin using this creates a string of hand seals and finally faces their open palms to a target. From their palms come a number of serpents made of fire, which no matter how many there are take up the whole surface of both hands. These serpents of fire fly in winding paths at the enemy, and due to their composition allow the enemy less room to maneuver after all have attempted to strike him/her.

It is difficult to foresee this attack, as the serpents are stealthy in their approach

Description: A Chuunin can't fully control the sheer volume of flame that is created by this fireball. It does massive damage for a chuunin level jutsu of it's cost, but because of that it has backlash and burns the hands holding the fireball quite badly when it is used

Although this serves only as a temporary distraction, and often times tends to do little damage, it can expose the true enemy, as its purpose is to destroy clones, such that the master may find the true target.

Description: A completely simple technique which enhances the range of spit, that will find the target: the enemy's eyes
