There was a silence in the room as the Hokage just assigned a new mission to Nara Kiyoshi's 'straight out of the academy' gennin team, the closed doors and windows only applified the silence. Kiyoshi sighed, titling his head downwards in the expression as if he was just assigned a load of paper work. He looked up after a second, about to eye the Hokage in the attemp to reconsider the mission, but a quick glare from the the head boss stopped him dead in his tracks.

"Alright, well, lets go guys"

At the same time as he spoke, Kiyoshi motioned his hand toward the gennin as to leave the room, looking at each one of them with a distant curiousity. As he walked toward the door to open it, he patted his jounin vest in a small sign of luck to himself and the gennin, an unusal behavior he had developed lately. The mission for Kiyoshi was quite easy, but he did not feel that his gennin squad was trained enough to take on the role of a C-Rank mission. In fact, all they had to do was transport and guard a common merchant to Iwakagure, simply for the reason that the merchant had a fear of traveling alone, even though the records clearly stated that he had arrived in Konoha a week before by himself.

As he arrived outside the door, Kiyoshi waited for his gennin to come out into the hallway, ready to lead them to there destination and hear their thoughts on their mission.

"So, what do you guys think? Can you handle it?"

OOC: Alright to start you off, some simple hints and rules.

General Rules ::

I - No God Modding, meaning you cant make your character super powerful, do extremely unreasonable things or take control of other character while you RP. Remeber that you are only gennin.

II - Remember timing, if something happened in RP that could happen in real life, think how long it would take and RP accordingly. If someone went to punch your character, your gennin character would most likely not be able to dodge and do a complex set of seals then throw a explosive tag at the same time in one motion.

III - Reasoable length post, spell check, grammer, proper spacing, and dont use unappropriate material until stating in the topic you are RPing in. We wont be using an unappropriate material in this topic.

IV - Stay parallel when narrating. As in dont say "The shinobi walked down the street, looking around for fellow comrade as they were suppose to meet around noon. To his suprise, his friend was already there, and went to speak to him" and then suddenly in the next sentence say "I said 'Hi, so you read to train?" then I turned around to see a woman in short skirt, I was turned on the site and decided to whistle.'

I'll state other rules as we go on, these are the ones that come of the top of my head, and that are important.

Hints ::

I - Try to describe how your character makes his actions.

II - Use codes such as Color, Bold, Italic's to notify the reader more easily that the character is talking, thinking.

III - Be original, dont abuse other character unless a reason for IC.

IV - Be more then free to narrate what you character is thinking, makes the reading more interesting.

V - Stating facts about your character on how he or she looks like is more then welcome, although I have not done that clearly yet -.-

I'll state more Hints of these also as we go on.

Anei, a short pale skinned young graduate was exited about his first mission, even if it was guard duty. How lame is this mission He parted his long black hair and straitened out his partially ripped hoodie and kept his thoughts to himself, keeping his cool, and listened to the briefing carefully. He hoped they would see some action on this mission, he was eager to prove himself. Afterword in the hallway he was suprised at Kiyoshi's comment What, does he think we're inadequate for this easy crap? Anei decided to let it go and replied:

"I think I can handle that; when do we leave?"

@Anei: Your post breaks Rule #III, Edit it, ways to lengthen it would be describing what he looks like, exactly why was he suprised? and whatever comes to your mind, Im kinda out of it now as I've had less the 8 hours of sleep the past two days because of Finals...Also, when RPing you dont have to post your, Stats, Skills, Jutsu, inventory, and etc unless in a stat battle, in which you dont show your health, stamina, and chakra

I'll wait for the others to post before respoding with my character. Also there is no need to post to tell me that you edited))

[Well,Let me give it a Shot]

Xion had crossed his arms and began to think for awhile.He Did not expect his first mission to be a C-Rank just to transport a guard to a certain destination.With a face of patience running out he sighed and began to fix up the chains around his neck and tighten up his gloves.He looked around thinking, wondering if the mission that was given was really something and he gave thought to the question Nara Kiyoshi gave him but took a quick moment to say to himself before any reply towards his questioning towards the mission..

"A Mission to transport a Guard ? Well.....It could be more than what it seems.."

Xion had then looked at Kiyoshi and replied to him actually getting more interested into the mission alot more and said

"Well It seems that it could be a challenge since it is a C-Rank but where do we need to transport him to ? And who is this guard? If I may ask "

He had then waited for a reply.

"Keh..." Hait let out a small, simple noise to no one in particular, almost as if he was talking to himself. He ran a thin hand through his pitch black hair, whilst his left, rather wiry leg suddenly lifted - and using the hand he previously had on his head, he scratched his bare foot which was somewhat itchy.

"I’m ready.” He then stated, not looking at either of the other Gennin, or even Kiyoshi. He seemed to be far more interested in wiping the dirt from his long red sleeve.

This is boring… Hait thought, not making another sound since he spoke. A simple guard mission shouldn’t be too taxing, however. He pondered and continued to talk to himself within his noggin.

He cocked his head slightly when Xion spoke, but largely ignored the words. Several thoughts rushed through his head - making scenarios and potential battle plans for the trek.

“…”

~ Arissa tugged on her bangs habitually as she looked around at her new accomplices' faces, wondering if this was something she really wanted to do. Her grandmother had taught her some things, but would it be enough..? Her almond brown hair was tied up with a silver ribbon in a high ponytail that swung back and forth about her mid-back. "I guess I should add something," she thought emptily," What would be best to say?"

She shifted her weight to her left foot anxiously staring at the floor. She let go of her bangs. " Can I... handle it?" she sighed, unsure, placing her hand on her hip and leaning against the wall. After a minute of thinking she looked up at Kiyoshi, caught his eye, and nodded, her dark pony tail bobbing. ~

Well, overall, so far so good maybe some grammer mistakes here and there but I wont prey on that, also Wolfun, itd be nice if you could use a code in order for us to easily identify when your talking/thinking))[/i]

Kiyoshi looked at his young students, sighed, and scratched the back of his head while closing his eyes. It was written in stone now, they had to do the mission and there was no way of getting out of it, or at least without getting assigned to clean up duties.

"Alright, Lets head out guys"

He began walking down the hallway, assuming his gennin would follow, he coninued and began informing on what kind of things they should expect on such a mission.

"Well first off, no abusing the merchat" he looked in the direction of Anei, he seemed to be the type to cause trouble.

"Anyway, for a mission like this, its important to use teamwork, as you need to cover mutiple sides when guarding someone, thus having multiple shinobi makes your job easier"

He continued to inform them on the basics, with phases of minutes to let his gennin respond and ask questions, and as they did so, they continued to walk along the hallway of the tower and through the streets of Konoha until they finally reached the gates of Konoha. In the middle of a small walking crowd there stood a lean man, with built muscle, obviosuly showing them off. He wore long khaki pants, signed with the repeated symbol of Iwa in black. His shirt was also khaki, with cut offs on his arms, opened up at his chest, and equiped with a badge bearing the Iwa symbol.

"Thats him" he said to the gennin, as they continued to walk towards him.

"Mister Taikaya? We are the shinobi that were sent to transport you to Iwa, this is Arissa, Hait, Xion and Anei"

As Kiyoshi told their names, he would let the gennin respond to the Iwa merchant, introducing themselves, then, Kiyoshi gave himself an introduction.

"I am Nara, Kiyoshi, a jounin, so you have nothing to worry about if we get attacked"

The merchant looked at each and one of them, giving off an aura of about to kill them at any moment.

"What the hell is this! I wanted someone mature....! Damnit! How old are you Girl!"

The man screamed, not from anger but out of dissapointment, obviously he wanted to talk to a mature woman on this 'trip'.

[Cellar Door]

"Good morning cousin." A voice called to Nara Kiyoshi.

It wasn't so long ago that Nara Toushu had returned to Konoha. He'd returned from the war without one of his eyes. Then just as abruptly as he'd returned, the young ninja had left again to parts unknown. He had never the less returned, and the one, good eye he retained focused intently on his younger cousin. It's deep azure hue scanning the matured young man.

The Nara warrior wore no vests proclaiming him of any particular rank, but some time ago, he'd attained a rank capable of training the young minds of their village. That was his mission at this point. To aide Kiyoshi in his venture with the young Gennin around him.

"The Lord Hokage has made an alteration to your mission objective." He said, in a rather grim fashion, "This mission has been deemed more dangerous, in light of some new evidence concerning the client."

Toushu's eye flicked from Kiyoshi to the faces of each of the Gennin. None looked above average, nor did they seem weak, or unprepared for a real fight. They would do well enough against the threat awaiting them on the journey.

"I've been instructed to accompany you, and watch over the client and the students... just in case."

There was a hint of pride in his voice as he spoke. It was only natural, Toushu and Kiyoshi were the most prominent shinobi from the Nara clan and many spoke of them being rivals. They were both intelligent, and skilled. Kiyoshi disliked Toushu's arrogance, and Toushu found his counterpart to be a bit too rule oriented.

"If that's alright with you..."

Toushu shot a look filled with disgust in the direction of the lecherous merchant.

"... A liar and a pervert... perhaps we should feed you to the wolves."

Xion said to himself after getting such a ignorant reply from the merchant that they've been ordered to transport.He looked at kiyoshi thinking to himself that this guy was going to be a pain in the rear since he had so much guts to be so rude to him and he rest of the Gennins for no reason.Xion wanted to say to him he should just be grateful that someone would even bother to accept this mission and transport him peroid.Xion had then tightened his fist and kept it in his pockets taking a deep slow deep breath to contain his anger.looking all around,He replied to the Merchant

"Sorry For you to think that way.But look on the bright side we are here to help sir"

He then took a step back in wonder if he was going to get screamed at again.He then said to himself

"It's unfortunate that I of many must hear someone bitch on my first mission but I've heard my mother done better so its not a bother"

Hait, like he was doing with the others, largely ignored the merchant; he ignored the others because he didn't really know them, and wasn't great at initiating communication. He ignored the Merchant because he was arrogant, and seemed to be a bit of a arse.

"Insulting those instructed to protect you is never a good thing to do.” He grunted at the merchant, striding past him and standing on his own about five feet away from everyone else. It wasn't a threat at the merchant, it was simply a piece of useful advice. He'd heard stories from his clan who had on occasion attacked those who they were instructed to protect because they were being disrespectful.

This isn't going to go well… Hait sighed quietly, drifting off into his own thoughts; his hand brushing through his mangled and unkempt hair.

"Two Nara…” He muttered lowly, again to himself, as he doubted anyone could actually hear him. "Do we need two clans members…? Surely two different types would complement each other better…”

Kiyoshi turned toward his cousin, suprised, he did not think another high ranked shinobi would come on the mission, or it could have been that Kiyoshi was assigned with a quite a few gennin, four of them, and perhaps needed another qualified shinobi to help Kiyoshi do his job.

"Ah, good morning Toushu san, I'm doing fine"

He took pause to let the his cousin speak to him and threatning the merchant.

"Toushu-san, don't give such negative comments on the one we are to protect, besides your giving the gennin a bad example of leading.."

He said in a whisper to him, away from earshot of the gennin and merchant so they wouldn't hear.

Xion had then sat down,scratched his head to figure what is going on.he then saw a shinobi walking towards kiyoshi talking to him and whispering.he got up and from far examined him and notciced that the male shinobi was a high rank just like kiyoshi.He then walked up towards both of them and said

"Hello my name is Hisame, Hisame Xion and yours ? "

He had introduced himself turning towards kiyoshi and said

"So what is the plan for this mission ?"

Anei followed Kiyoshi down the hallway as the other gennin asked questions. He listened carefully and decided to stay silent. It's just a guard mission, no need for alot of detail, we go, drop him off and come back.

As they walked Kiyoshi pointed out the merchant and they were told to introduce themselves and he complied:

"Good morning sir, my name is Anei

Anei made no movement when the man screamed, deciding to keep quiet. How rude, shouldn't he be thankful he has us to escort him, and what a pervert? Anei figured that saying something wouldn't go to well with Kiyoshi.

IN the corner of his eye, Anei saw another Nara family member approach. As the two talked he listened and tried to make sure he caught every word, but failed

Hmm, possible action?

Then Kiyoshi whispered something to Toushu, Anei tried but failed to hear what it was Oh well, couldn't be that important

(( -cheers- Ahem Anei, you made a mistake that could sometimes potentially end up in a diaster, although a small mistake here, you should still look out for them. My character never stated that he pointed at the merchant, just said "there he is", unless of course you dont mean physically pointed* in which case dont even bother fixing your post. All in all, this is dangerous mistake in RPing, as reading another RPers post incorrectly can screw up your own post. ))

~ Arissa followed along with the group, distracted by the many things going on about them, as Kiyoshi led them through the winding hallway to the Konoha gates. " At least we're moving now.."she thought. Her thoughts quickly ended as she realized she was in the back of the group because she had spaced out a little and fallen behind. She quickened her pace to catch up to the group, her ponytail swinging behind her.

"What the hell is this! I wanted someone mature....! Damnit! How old are you Girl!"

A man, who by the looks of him was mean, seemed to be staring at her angrily. "This must be the guy we're escorting," she thought giving him a once over, " Great.." Arissa sighed realizing she had missed the introductions and briefing and such.

Arissa avidly payed attention to the next details of events as they occurred hoping not to miss anything. After the arrival of the second Nara member, Toushu, the other members of her team had begun to talk amongst each other. " What am I doing?" she thought, confusedly. ~

The intent look he'd worn into the conversation faded, and Toushu smiled in the direction of his Nara brethren. He of course did not want to undermine this squads commander in front of his subordinates. It was obvious though, that the cycloptic shinobi was rather resentful of the old man already.

"Fine fine, I'll refrain from abusing the old codger, but it's imperative that you take this scroll. It's the new mission briefings." Toushu reached one of his gloved hands into a pouch on his belt, retrieved a small scroll and passed it on to his fellow teacher. "I think you may want to let your squad know before we get too far along on this little journey."

Glancing up, Toushu realized that quite a few of the Gennin were huddled around Kiyoshi. It seemed as though they may have gone forgotten in the seriousness of Kiyoshi's situation.

"... But before you take that, I believe you should have your team take the time to introduce themselves."

Oh yeah, I want to shove that scroll up Toushu's ass right now cause I dont want this getting extended more then it needs to *_>.. no B-Rank, this isn't the Naruto world we see in the Naruto anime..where stupid retard gennin go take out akastuki members, of course Im exaggerating, but w/e, anyway. Im not mad at you just to let you know. Also Im kinda making this up as we go =D, and Im gonna ignore the scroll ~ ))

Kiyoshi sighed, his cousin and himself were complete opposites, Kiyoshi putting himself into his studies, developing techniques, understanding everything he could get his hands on, while Toushu on the other hand seemed to have a little more flexbility in him, a fun character so to say. Unexpectidly, the merchant began to talk.

"Alright, lets head out, Im sick of looking at this damned city, nothing like Iwa"

The man turned around, taking a rectangular bag from the ground and strapping it to himself on his back, then procedded to walk toward the gates of Konoha. Kiyoshi took his hands and put them in his pockects, not looking back as he knew that his gennin cell would follow, along with the other Nara. As he walked past the gates of Konoha on to the other side, a slight breeze came over on them, it brushed through Kiyoshi's hair, making a wave. It was a nice saturday morning, sunny, a few clouds, and it hadn't rained for a couple days. it was cool also, not cold but the breezes that they experinced were refreshing. Kiyoshi himself was the one that brought a backpack, carrying all the food that they needed for his team except the unexpected arrival of Toushu, and the gennin only having their wepons in their pouches.

They walked, and walked, in silence, following the merchant to Iwa. After awhile Kiyoshi thought of breaking the silence, but decided against it.

An hour or two passed until they reached a road in which separated into other smaller roads, one leading to Kusa, which they took, which was the shortest way to the Country of Earth and to the Village of Iwa. The gennin must likely did not know where they were exactly so Kiyoshi turned around to face them.

"Alright guys, we're heading out of the Country of Fire and entering the Country of Grass right now"

After traveling a couple of minutes into the Country of Grass, they left the grand trees of Konoha and entered the large plains of tall grass that covered much of the Country. The tall grass moved back and forth with the wind, while Kiyoshi looked at them with curiosity.

Hait simply looked at Kiyoshi before rolling his eyes as he announced that they had entered the Land of Grass. Because Hait, probably like the others, obviously hadn’t noticed the small amount of trees and huge plains of grass in the short distance in front of them. The plains probably went in all directions, too (not that Hait could see, as he couldn’t look through the large trees).

He had gotten noticeably more angst as time went on. He liked relative silence (well, if not that, music he enjoyed listening to). Not listening to two Gennin, two Nara and a grumpy merchant. Needless to say, he hadn’t said a word since they had actually left Konoha itself.

He was lagging at the back of the group, lingering on his own, occasionally pausing to flick a stone from between his toes, or examine the odd footprint the saw in the soft soil surrounding the grass, or even look at the wildlife that wandered around the long blades surrounding them.

”Well this is exciting… Hait muttered to himself in a rather sarcastic tone.

Anei walked along watching the enviornment around him, hoping that he would see a ninja stalking them. But he saw nothing, not one suspicious movement. Then the man began to speak:

"Alright, lets head out, Im sick of looking at this damned city, nothing like Iwa"

wow, this guy has alot issues, especially with his language, what a jerk!

Anei walked along with the others in silence for and hour or two. Anei noticed slight scenery changes, things like less trees and more plains up ahead. We must be entering a new village soon

Then Kiyoshi confirmed that with: "Alright guys, we're heading out of the Country of Fire and entering the Country of Grass right now"

As they entered the Country of Grass, Anei hoped there would be more action here than in Fire. How lame...

Suddenly it struck her that she hadn't really said anything yet. " I wonder what the others think about this.." she sighed, contemplating whether or not to start a conversation. She looked at the gennin to her side who was muttering to himself. " Maybe not.." ~

The grass stopped to move with the wind, Kiyoshi noticed the strange aspect and looked closer at the surroundings. A second later, the four foot tall grass became a hard solid, completeing in the form of a large senbon. Kiyoshi immidiatly took action, put his hands together to form the appropiate handseals, then placing his palm on the ground to perform his Doton technique.

Doton: Yamagoya no Jutsu

(Earth Style: Mountain Hut Technique)

Then, situmously, the formed senbon grass lauched itself toward the group of shinobi while Kiyoshi's Doton technique rose from the earth in the shape of a large rectangular room around the group of shinobi. The Doton technique shook the ground as it was formed into a hut to cover them all from the enemy attack, as that ended and the Konoha shinobi sucluded within the darkness of the hut, a thousand senbons of grass could be heard hitting the hardened earth of the hut. Seconds later, all sound seized to exist and there was silence between everybody. Kiyoshi immidiatly spoke upon when the attack stopped, talking casually to them as if in a normal conversation, not the shouting the gennin would expect at a time like this, and that was to say if they knew what was occuring.

"Arissa, Xion, stick with the merchant at all times and protect him, make sure you don't leave his side"

The merchant looked towards the two that Kiyoshi had named, some sweat slid down the left side of the face, this wasn't the situation he favored to be in. Kiyoshi then turned toward Toushu, eyeing him only momentarily.

"Toushu, protect the gennin and use Anei and Hait in any way you need to"

Kiyoshi took a breath and paused for a moment, obviously this was not a normal C-Rank mission, and Toushu most likely already knew that.

((Alright, your next post is going to be your reaction to this, so its should be no more then 5-7 seconds, exactly like a normal turn in a stat battle. Cellar Door, you will GM Anei and Hait(along with yourslef, duh...) and make up whoever your opponent(s) is. I will GM Arissa and Xion, and the merchant, so our posts shouldn't interfere with each other, unless we talk before hand.

And a hint ::

Quoting someone evey single time doesn't get you anywhere, so dont fill up your post with things like that, not to mention that it is very annoying, so for the rest of the RP, I dont want anybody quoteing anybody else))

Hait blinked quickly as the previous emerald green grass turned into the much more deadly Senbon needles, and were launched in the Shinobi's general direction. He didn't see Kiyoshi forming the hand seals; so the Genin's harsh training came into mind automatically, causing his arms to quickly raise, whilst his hands balled into tight fists aiming to numb the pain that was going to occur; his heart was thundering in his ears as Adrenaline flooded through his veins to prepare his muscles for a fight. It had been a long time since the boy had been quite so excited. The prospect of battle was what he lived for, after all.

That's when Hait noticed it had suddenly become dark. He was trained not to be scared, so hadn't closed his eyes… And yet it was dark. Slightly bemused, the Genin turned and looked for everyone else, before his ears began to tune out the sound of his heart thundering in anticipation of battle to lightly hear the Senbon needles hitting the hardened walls of the mud around them.

"A Jutsu… I should have guessed that…” Hait muttered quietly to himself, his arms half relaxed, half tensed at his chest.

"Atleast things are getting more interesting now.”

~ Arissa, suddenly finding herself blinded and engulfed in darkness, urgently felt along the wall of what seemed to be a dirt hut. The earth felt moist and cool on her flat palm, as she impatiently waited for her eyes to adjust. "What happened? We were standing there and.. the grass..a jutsu? Okay, am I still with someone?" she questioned breathlessly, stepping away from the wall quietly in effort to hear anything that might let her know if the group was still with her. ~

[whoa whoa whoa whoa!!! oh dang I didn't know we were all head on head already well let me continue]

Xion had fell to the ground and could not see for a very long period of time. Getting up very confused, He was very tired and could not think at all to straight and was falling to the ground slowly, Feeling as if someone blew a strong amount of smoke to his face. Getting up, looking around, making sure everything was "A" ok he slowly feeling very weak began to start Fixing up his gear and clothing and He held on tight to his hip (to get a grip and movement on fighting position) just to be prepared to attack anyone or anything that is another intruder to the mission if the merchant is spotted for annihilation but walking very slowly due to the fact that he was still feeling very numb and little ill.

"Always Be Prepared and focused.One of the main things our ancestors taught us.you fall down like helpless mule with no power and common sense if you are a cocky fool to go on towards a mission without being ready for anything."

Which his father had told him while he was living with him to train and get ready to be a full Gennin which he remembered at the wrong time. turning around, just to make sure once again everything was all good. But he then slowly sat down in dizzyness and gotten alot more numb than he usually was and then he laid his back down on the tree,staying quiet and waiting to gain strength to get back up and taking breather
