“A dropout will beat a genius through hard work.” – Rock Lee

 The Lee Clan

Country Of Origin:

Village Of Residence:

18px-Konohagakure_Symbol.svg.png Konohagakure No Sato | The Village Hidden In The Leaves | 木ノ葉隠れの里

Clan Progenitor:

• Lee Nasuka; The first to dawn the Lee name was Nasuka, a female leader who fought alongside several other clans during the First Shinobi War. Kasuka was considered a dedicated warrior at the time, often known for being slightly too passionate in certain areas. While not distinguished with any particular medals or talents Kasuka would go on to survive the war and witness the founding of Konoha. As time passed she would go on to sire several children, creating the beginnings of the Lee clan.

Clan Head:

• Lee Solid; The fifteenth clan head of the Lee clan is a middle aged man determined to live his youth through the younger members of the clan. Solid is a local dojo owner who instructs various members of the clan and community in the art of Taijutsu. While considered the “head” of the clan Solid often defers to the opinion of the clan’s council, opting to focus his time on his jutsu rather than his politics. While this has led to a problem with tardiness there is no doubt that any member of the clan is more fit to lead than Solid.

Clan Status:

• Well Known; While the Lee family spans generations of shinobi it is only recent years that it has gained the attention of other nations, and even Konoha itself. Often misjudged due to their eccentric nature and lack of diversified abilities, the Lee clan has had to overcome many hurdles in their path of recognition. Today they are generally respected, but many of the more prestigious clans are willing to look down on their members.

Clan Age:

• Old; Although the Lee clan can technically trace their roots as far back as the founding of Konoha it is not until recent years that the Lee clan has become a more cohesive unit. In a sense the clan is younger than most, leaving little point in comparing their age to some of the more prestigious clans of Konoha.

Clan History:

tumblr_mtfcn9w42h1ryyazao6_500.gif

The Lee Clan are first noted in the history books slightly before the First Ninja War under Nasuka’s namesake. Nasuka was a famed battle junkie before the war, with a rag tag group of followers that challenged several local dojos in the area. Following the ignition of the First Ninja War Nasuka and her follower’s would be assimilated into the Senju tribe thanks to their combat proven prowess. On the battlefield Nasuka was said to be a powerful subscriber to the Taijutsu arts, but never quite rose herself to that of a legend. While Nasuka and her follower’s decided to form together as a family it would be several years before the Lee would become an official clan.

Due to their slow start in forming a solidified clan, the Lee were slow to the uptake of Konoha’s political system. While others rose to power and exploited their abilities as ninja the Lee seemed to disperse across Konohagakure. It would not be until clan legend Rock Lee arrived that the group would begin to see themselves more as a familial unit than before. Rock Lee unified the clan through his Taijutsu practice and belief system, two ideas that would become core tenets of the clan in the future. Although his quirky nature threw off some of the villagers the birth of his son Metal Lee would truly solidify the clan as a newcomer to watch out for. Metal Lee rose to Jounin at a young age and became the strongest Taijutsu user at the time, even surpassing his father.

With proven shinobi talent under the belt of the clan the Lee began to accredit respect and eventually a small amount of political power. As the clan heads decided to unify the clan permanently the Lee would go to make their first alliances with the Haruno and Uzumaki clans, quickly followed by the Inuzuka. These alliances would further the agenda of the Lee as a legitimate clan, eventually drawing on the expectations of talent from the clan in the community.

While the Lee are new to the Konoha political arena their centuries of hard work and beliefs have been passed on through the generations, creating a powerful clan for the Konoha.

Lee Jounin:

• Lee Rock | Deceased

Alias: Konoha’s Beautiful Green Wild Beast

Gender: Male

Shinobi Rank: Jounin

Specialization: Taijutsu

Information: Renown across the Lee clan as the member who defied all expectations, cementing himself in the world history books. Rock Lee was famous for never having the talent for ninjutsu, dedicating his life to the advancement of his “below average” Taijutsu abilities. His hard work would put him into the direct path of legends such as Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Famed for his profound use of the Lotus Style, Rock Lee continues on in the spirit of this day’s youth.

• Lee Metal | Deceased

Alias: Konoha’s Iron Fist

Gender: Male

Shinobi Rank: Jounin

Specialization: Taijutsu

Information: Metal Lee, the son of Rock Lee, is arguably the driving force in establishing the clan as a power house rather than a one-off. Driven by his father, whom described Metal as a “genius” within the clan, allowed for Metal Lee to become a powerful shinobi in Konoha. His growth would even surpass that of his fathers’ leaving behind a legacy of youth driven to surpass the precedent set for them.

• Lee Nasuka | Deceased

Alias: N/A

Gender: Male

Shinobi Rank: Jounin

Specialization: Taijutsu

Information: Nasuka is the first emergence of the Lee namesake in recent history. Although there are no legends to be told of her she cemented herself as a worthy opponent in the First Ninja War years ago.

• Lee Solid | Alive

Alias: N/A

Gender: Male

Shinobi Rank: Jounin

Specialization: Taijutsu

Information: Solid is the current head of the Lee Clan, and a powerful shinobi to boot. Solid runs a passionate dojo for all local children wanting to better themselves in the arts of Taijutsu. Like many of those before him Solid refuses to give up on his youth, often resulting in comical accidents to ensue. Rumor has it that the man is also a “proud” practice of the Drunken Fist.

Cultural Information:

Clan Traits:

• As is the way with many clans, the Lee have physical traits that make them identifiable to those who know what to look for. Thick black hair is extremely prominent in the Lee clan, although some of the edgier members of the clan have chosen to dye their hair. A distinct trait of the Lee clan’s hair is often the thick glossiness of the hair, and of course whatever horrible hairstyle is in at the time. Another visible trait of the Lee clan is often their green styling, opting for full body suits the majority of time for “training”. Lastly, Lee have bold eyes followed by bolder eyebrows. By their nature, most Lee have a strong will and desire, displaying passionate signs of youth in their eyes. This psychological trait can sometimes enhance the awkwardness of their bold features. When interacting with a Lee it is very common for people to be thrown back by their passion and effort. Of course this has been known to cause problems amongst some of the more stuck up shinobi.

Clan Outlook:

• The Lee are a strong arm of the Konohagakure military force. While the Lee lack any bloodline abilities, the raw power and loyalty to the country often produce powerful front line soldiers. Although the Lee clan are known to be eccentric and over the top in certain areas, they currently hold respect among the community. Members of the Lee clan are often great teachers for cell groups due to their drive for competition.

Clan Professions:

• It is not uncommon for the Lee clan to inhabit many professions outside of the Shinobi world. While most live and breathe in their desire to become the best shinobi possible there is a small amount of members who take jobs outside of the military force. This is seen as acceptable to those within the clan, although they do ask that those members strive to be their best in whatever profession they do choose.

Clan Estates:

• The Lee clan does not hold any permanent estates around the village, opting to live in their own housing. There is a communal center where those of the Lee clan gather for special occasions. Despite the Lee clan being separated from one another all members of the clan are very close with one another, often celebrating one another’s achievements.

Clan Relations:

20px-Aburame_Symbol.svg.png Aburame Clan | Neutral
Though respectful of each other's abilities as a clan, neither the Aburame nor the Lee are particularly friendly to each other. The Aburame’s reserved demeanor often directly conflicts with the Lee’s passionate displays of vigor. While the two do not dislike each other they prefer to stay apart.

20px-Akimichi_Symbol.svg.png Akimichi Clan | Friendly
The Akimichi are close friends to the Lee clan, on the verge of becoming allies.. The excess and boisterous nature of the Akimichi shares similar ties to the Lee clan’s rambunctious displays. While the two may share different ideas on things such as training and effort, their cheerful personalities have created a strong friend in the Akimichi.

22px-Haruno_Symbol.png Haruno Clan | Allied
The Haruno are seen as a vital ally in the growth of the clan. While some seem to think that the early infatuation of Sakura Haruno by Rock Lee is the bedrock for this alliance the real reason is somewhere in the realm of tactical advantage. The two shared similar goals and their youth as a clan bonded the two sides together through experience.

20px-Hy%C5%ABga_Symbol.svg.png Hyūga Clan | Rivals
The Hyūga share a rivalry with the Lee clan going as far back as the rivalry between Hyuuga Neji and Rock Lee. While not in direct competition for similar village roles, the Hyuuga know not to underestimate the stubborn training of the Lee. Because of their powerful bloodline, the Lee see the Hyuuga as a powerful rival that helps the clan grow in strength.

20px-Inuzuka_Symbol.svg.png Inuzuka Clan | Allied
The Inuzuka clan are seen as valuable allies to the Lee clan. The Inuzuka clan shares traits with the Uzumaki clan that make them an easy partner for the Lee to team up with. Bonds have been forced in both past and present experiences, with each side possessing similar yet individually unique skill sets.

20px-Namikaze_symbol.png Namikaze Clan | Neutral
The Namikaze clan is one of the ancient clans in the village that do not share a relationship with the Lee clan. The clans simply do not work together nor maintain a rivalry that would bring the clans together more often. Their general lack of contact has promoted a more acquaintance vibe between the clans.

20px-Nara_Symbol.svg.png Nara Clan | Friendly
The Nara and the Lee clan share a working relationship between one another. Lee clan members can often be subbed out for Akimichi members in tactics due to their similar status as heavy hitters. The Lee clan’s similar personality traits with the Akimichi also serves as a bonding force between the two clans. The Lee respectfully view the Nara as rivals due to their uncanny tactical abilities.

20px-Sarutobi_Symbol.svg.png Sarutobi Clan | Neutral
The Sarutobi clan is one of the ancient clans in the village that do not share a relationship with the Lee clan. The clans simply do not work together nor maintain a rivalry that would bring the clans together more often. Their general lack of contact has promoted a more acquaintance vibe between the clans.

35px-Senju_Symbol.svg.png Senju Clan | Neutral
The Senju clan is one of the ancient clans in the village that do not share a relationship with the Lee clan. The clans simply do not work together nor maintain a rivalry that would bring the clans together more often. Their general lack of contact has promoted a more acquaintance vibe between the clans.

20px-Uchiha_Symbol.svg.png Uchiha Clan | Rivals
Like the Hyūga, the Uchiha are a strong and well respected bloodline within the village. Possibly even more so than the Hyūga, the Lee must compete generation after generation to prove that they can possess the same strength as the Uchiha. Similar to the Hyuga the Uchiha share historic roots with the Lee that have solidified their place as eternal rivals.

20px-Uzushiogakure_Symbol.svg.png Uzumaki Clan | Allied

The Uzumaki  are held in high esteem by the Lee clans as both rivals and allies. Due to the stubbornness of those in the Uzumaki clan it is not uncommon for members of these clans to fight one another. Of course each side understands the spirit of competition. The bond between the two clans is further solidified by their mutual ally, the Haruno clan.

20px-Yamanaka_Symbol.svg.png Yamanaka Clan | Friendly
Though the Lee and Yamanaka do not have much in common the Lee clan’s friendly relationship with the Akimichi often puts them in direct contact with members of the Yamanaka clan. The Yamanaka’s experience with the Akimichi clan also serves to prep them for the more eccentric nature of the Lee.

DwjjB5L.png Hatake Clan | Eternal Rivals

The Lee and Hatake clan share one of the villages most lop sided rivalries. While the Lee clan have always viewed the Hatake as their rivals, most of the opposing clan refuse to even acknowledge the existence of the Lee clan. One could blame this on a variety of factors such as the Lee clan's boyish attitude, lack of aptitude for ninjutsu arts, and their lack of political clout in the village. Unfortunately for the Hatake the Lee do not care how the Hatake feel and will openly embrace their status as "rivals" to the world. Sorry Hatake members.

Clan Skills:

• Raw Grit | Nama Gurrito | 生グリット

Lee Clan Skill Set;

Raw Grit | Nama Gurrito | 生グリット

“My motto is to be stronger than yesterday, if I have to I’ll be stronger than half a day ago, even a minute ago!”

Konoha is famed for it’s many clans and all of their unique abilities that each one possesses. Manipulating time and space, controlling shadows, even bringing life to barren earth are all trademarks of this famous land. However there is only one clan in this country that so purely focuses itself on the betterment of Taijutsu and all of it’s glory. The Lee clan is considered the dominant Taijutsu force of Konoha, with their utmost devotion to Konoha’s own Lotus Style. Of course the Lotus Style is not the only reason why the Lee clan has earned the respect of their peers.

The Lee’s clan most prominent Lotus user is recorded as Rock Lee, one the clan’s most influential figures in history. Left with the limited use of Ninjutsu or Genjutsu Rock Lee took it upon himself to bring his “below average” Taijutsu skills into a world class ability. Rock Lee would be taken under the tutelage of Might Guy (a powerful Taijutsu user himself) during his shinobi career. It was Guy’s teachings that Lee would indoctrinate himself with that led to the creation of modern ideals within the clan. Guts, percerveriance, hard work, and the desire to always become better than what you are. Any day of the week someone could try and do what Rock Lee had achieved, but at the end of the day no one had the raw drive needed to achieve such a level.

Rock Lee would go on to pass his ideals to his son Metal Lee who would pass it on to his son and so forth. While the lotus style was taught to any Konoha shinobi looking to learn a Taijutsu style the Lees made sure to always outdo their competition. As such the Lees were left with a generational use of a style very similar to how the great ninja clans of Konoha formed. While not throwing fire, creating wood, or attacking chakra points, the Lee clan perfected their own unique portion of the pie. As such those of the Lee clan today are dominant forces in their field of Taijutsu, accelerating through mastery of art as well as an extreme ability to endure training that could only be created by the devil itself. There is no bloodline here, only a culture of ethics that has crafted one of the strongest legacies in Konoha today.

Raw Grit | Nama Gurrito | 生グリット
The trademark guts, perseverance, and hard work of the Lee clan have created a culture of Lotus users that always strive to be the best they can be. For centuries the Lee clan has sought to constantly advance itself, creating the raw grit of the clan’s members today. Through their betterment the Lee clan has come closest to mastering the Lotus Style out of all clans, but at the end of the day it’s all just the benefit of lots… and lots… and lots of mind blowing, suicidal, ridiculous training.

Born to the Leaf! – Rank One
Effect: The skill "Martial Artist; Lotus Style" deals an additional +5 damage per skill rank in "Martial Artist; Lotus Style". This is an overall bonus to skill and does not increase bonus per ninja rank.
Description: The strength of the Lotus Style is a hallmark of the Leaf Village as well as the focal point of the Lee clan. Most members were born without the affinity, or care, for the arts of NInjutsu or Genjutsu. As such they devoted their lives to mastering and perfecting their Taijutsu, passing on their knowledge and technique to each generation that followed. The fruit of their devotion and hard work have shown that even natural genius can be overcome.
Cost: -1

The Lotus of the Leaf Village! – Rank One
Effect: This skill activates during the user's first set-up phase of battle. For the next (3) turns whenever the user would gain a Lotus Charge from a Lotus Style technique they gain (1) additional "Lotus Charge" from said technique.
Description: Indoctrinated into the Lotus Style since birth, you have become one with your Taijutsu. As any in the Lee clan can attest to hard work and lots of practice have put you in the best physical state of your life. It helps that you have millennia of knowledge, but your persistence is what truly got you to this point. Perhaps that is why you enter into a battle always warmed up and ready to go? You may not always be mentally prepared for a fight, but your body’s muscle memory from years of practice will more than make up for it.
Cost: -1

Springtime of Youth! – Rank [ - ]
Effect: Characters with this skill permanently gain 200 Stamina per rank in this skill. This skill may not be taken with the skill "Stamina Training".
Description: Ah… youth is a wonderful thing. Why in your older years you may not be able to “run” around the village on your hands, but in your youth you do so with a smile on your face and an extra 100 kg to your body! Returning from a mission? It wouldn’t be interesting if you didn’t carry your entire team’s luggage with your sensei attached to your front! The point is the Lee clan excels in… “unique” forms of training that the average shinobi just simply do not do. Of course their maddening training provides them with a large benefit of stamina that most normal shinobi cannot even fathom.
Maximum Ranks: 5
Cost: -2

Requirement: 10 Post Training; May only take every 10 levels

Masters of the Gates! – Rank [ - ]
Effect: When taking an "Eight Celestial Gates" skill the posting requirements are considered halved

Rank 1: User gains their next rank of "Eight Celestial Gates" skill for free on purchase of this rank; No training is required for this skill; User may not perform free purchase if the user does not meet gate requirements.

Rank 2: Following a battle where the user activated an “Eight Celestial Gates” skill the recovery time and posts are halved for the user.

Rank 3: The first time a gate is activated in a battle the user does not have to pay any costs associated with that gate on that turn. This skill may not be used to negate any of the effects or costs of "Shimon; Gate of Death"

Description: The Lee clan has always had an affinity for pushing their boundaries, whether it’s ignoring the expectations that society places on them or going beyond their own natural limits. Perhaps this combination of grueling training and need to succeed drive those in the Lee clan to pursue the path of the Eight Celestial Gates. Unlike the average shinobi those in the Lee have had a long lineage of members who have adopted the power of the gates, harnessing it to protect those that are important to them. For these reasons the Lee have become naturally accepting of the Eight Celestial Gates, and have come into a symbiotic relationship with the power, allowing them to achieve great feats that other shinobi simply cannot.
Restrictions: Chunin, Level 40; Ranks may only be purchased every 20 levels
Maximum Ranks: 3

Cost: -2

1. First and foremost, the name "Lee" should probably be changed to "Rī". Iwa is the only current village that uses romanized names. You can probably get an approval without doing that, but if we have to do the names backwards, you may as well go with Ri insted. Lee Rock would look stupid on NA profile, but Ri Rokku, less so. It could just be me though.

2. I'm not a huge fan of the first name. It doesn't fit the usual scheme of the Lee's. Also, you don't mention which Great Ninja War she fought in. There are four, debatably five of them in NA world.

3. Solid should be called Sorido. In NA's average naming scheme Rock would have been called Rokku and Metal would be called Metaru.

4. I found this stylized picture of a lotus. It looks a lot more like a clan symbol to me. Feel free to use it if you like. 14177-200.png

1) I agree that we have a problem where the romanized version doesn't blend as well. I am biased on this as I think myself and other members will think Lee first. As a canon we can go with either name, but I prefer Lee based on personal judgment.

2) If this bothers anyone we can think of a better name! I couldn't think of a similar name at all for her gender?

3) Will change if decide to go on our Ri name change!

4) Utilized symbol!

Feel free to brainstorm here everyone! I'd like to get it approved quickly, but it's my first canon clan so rip into it if we need to!
