Kido Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 (edited) Kurokumoushinja – Dark Spider Follower Description: The bloodline bearer, being genetically inherent of a human arachnid hybrid, gains a portion of the physical attributes of the arachnid along with their homo-sapiens predecessor. Borne from the parasitic bacteria found festering within the guarded and sacred swamps of the Shicchihara no Shashu Clan, it is fully contained from contamination outside of their ritualistic facilities while giving them a controlled environment in which to propagate their clan's youth. Constant exposure to the spores from the black marshland gives the candidate a mortality rate of 10% if given past the age of the pubescent, but those in infancy receive a greater mortality rate of 50% in which the symbiotic bonds are then fostered while the bacteria slowly evolves the candidate into hybrid status. With their cellular and physiological systems evolving, usually in the form of a multifaceted lens within their pupils and growth of three pairs of arms, their integumentary System also is altered with more connections to their chakra circulatory system which now secretes a web like residue called Kumonenkin, which is used to create spider like webbing as well as an assortment of weaponry, mainly small and blunt weaponry and projectiles used for archery, modeled after what is believed to be their greatest example: Kidoumaru. Many of the instinctual characteristics of the arachnid still exist within the bearer. For one, they are able to feel vibrations on the hairs of their body, able to recognize movement around them by sudden gushes of air or more prevalent when something brushes against one of their created webs, the user is able to extrapolate the position of the intended target without visual sight while tracking them within their mind's eye. As their symbiotic relationship grows, their evolved physiology often bequeaths them with an increased set of limbs [arms] until they reach three pairs, often in conjunction with rigorous training to complete more heralded levels of expertise. [-1] Rank 4: Jounin Rank, growth of third set of arms, able to receive fourth level of bloodline skills. [-1] Tactics of the Arachnid Predator Description: Like their primal predecessors, the user is able to triangulate the location of their prey by reading the vibrations which they give off as they move along any of the spider's web without the use of sight. The multi-faceted surface within their pupils makes for an abundance of observations of the viewed target's positioning, able to grasp more information from their movements more than an average shinobi. The cool calculation is readily processed into their predatory nature, able to instinctively track their targets during battle The Kurokumoushinja also learned how to aid in their projectiles trajectory angle by attaching a thin line of webbing to the end of the instrument to aid in the accuracy of all ranged attacks. Effects: +15% to accuracy to all ranged attacks and unaffected by impaired eyesight and blind status effects where target is attached to user's webbing and +10% to-hit with all non-genjutsu attacks times the number in this rank. Can't exceed maximum accuracy percentage [90%] Ranks: 4 Cost: Ranks 1-4: -2 Arachnid Secretion Creation – Kumonenkin [Golden Spider] Description: The Arachnid Hybrid is able to create a substance recognizable as a spider's webbing. The stronger their body becomes, the stronger their webbing becomes. Effects: Enables the use of all web based or objects created by webbing. The cost for the webbing is paid in stamina Rank 1: The objects created through secretions strength is equivalent to taijutsu times .15 payable in stamina Rank 2: The objects created through secretions strength is equivalent to taijutsu times .20 payable in stamina Rank 3: The objects created through secretions strength is equivalent to taijutsu times .25 payable in stamina Rank 4: The objects created through secretions strength is equivalent to taijutsu times .30 payable in stamina Cost: Ranks 1-4: -2 Arachnithrobe Maturing Physiology Description: As the Kurokumoushinja body matures through the rigors of shinobi life with the adaptation of future limbs, their reflexes become more attuned to their surroundings as their center of balance shifts. Microscopic scaled hairs protrude out of the bearer's feet and hands making it easier to adhere to surfaces as well as aid in the reactions to sudden changes in atmospheric pressure. Standard hand eye coordination enhances with the additional growth of arms; often mimicking the primary set for synchronized maneuverability. Rank 1: Requires Rank 1 of Kurokumoushinja: +5% to evasion against non-genjutsu attacks, Non-Offensive Jutsu may be used in the Setup Phase.. Tactics of the Arachnid Predator - 4 ranks and only one effect? Arachnid Secretion Creation - Approved Arachnithrobe Maturing Physiology: Rank 1 - Can not exceed the normal max chance to hit. -1 Rank 2 - So all your taijutsu attacks are now quatruplied, without any drawbacks, and the opponents defense is halved? Or are you thinking as [(taijutsu mod - opponents defence mod)/2]? Anyways, Denied. Rank 3 - Same as above.

There having extra limbs doesn't grant them more options that are past the current rulings. The attacks per turn are still observed. Tactics of the Arachnid Predator 4 ranks, the highest level granting 40% and 20% where those certain parameters are met. Arachnithrobe Maturing Physiology It is only changing all hand to hand combat situations into multiattacks. At that rank, the user is splitting the force of one blow into to punches, which damage is reduced due to the normal formula which governs mutli attack techniques. The last level further reduces the potential damage over three blows. Arachnid Secretion Creation - Thanks!
cntrstrk14 Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 With the secretion, I am a bit confused. Are these weapons you are creating or what? If so how long do they last? One time use? When can you make them, does it cost chakra/stamina? etc.
Kido Posted October 31, 2006 Author Posted October 31, 2006 (edited) Yes, there are a variety of weapons that are being created with the secretion, similar to Kidoumaru. Each type of weapon creation has a technique attached to it and would cost both [stamina for the secretion and chakra for the weapon forming] while webbing would be 1-2 turns. The skill has been adjusted to read the calculations for the strength as well as cost for the webbing in stamina, it also relays the term used in the manga for the webbing as well. Anything else? Kido Posted November 3, 2006 Author Posted November 3, 2006 (edited) Ok, Sticky gold [correction...it is supposed to be golden spider...will change that] is the spider webbing that they use. Similar to what Kidoumaru chewed in his mouth to create the golden weaponry and webbing that he used in his battle with Neji. The skill allows for the creation of the secretion, payable with stamina, and also calculates the strength of the webbing. As the shinobi becomes stronger, so does the webbing that he creates. The webbing strength acts as a factor when weaponry and webbing techniques come into the picture, because it is the tensile strength of the created items. Techniques were created around these factors from the manga in mind. A certain amount of exertion could overcome webbing in this case, different from Kidoumaru because his webbing couldn't be readily defeated without another person using chakra as a knife when they are bound. This style allows for the target to rip out of the webbing instead of having to deal with the effects like hamstrung and the like. They pay in stamina to defeat the webbing around the strength of it from the exertion. ex: Ninja A - uses a technique that uses a weblike trap to hinder movement, the technique calls for the hamstrung effect and damage if any. Ninja B- failed response roll and takes damage if any, but due to the web strength of Ninja A, the user could choose to rip out of the bonds by paying X in stamina, or suffer the reductive evasion effects of the jutsu. Of course as mentioned earlier, this portion only happens after the failed dodge roll for the attack. Edited November 4, 2006 by Gornok

Kido Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 (edited) nope, it is only a skill which allows the BL user to use webbing techniques, and gives you the cost of processing the secretion as well as the strength of the webbibg, it doesn't grant anything else. Everything else would be covered in the techniques. The creation of weaponry used [bow, arrrow, kunai, webs] are covered in the techniques which you pay chakra to mold them. Nappers Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Shibby. I'm against the third trait. More arms doesn't necessarily make you more dexterous. Though of course if you made a technique in which you were in a giant spiders web; that's different - and besides the point. And how, if you did a Taijutsu that was one punch be converted into a multi-attack? It ought to be by the wording of this same trait in discussion. I see what you mean, i.e. if there were two punches involved; but let's say that there is only one.

This is just reinforcing the already established rules for the bloodline in which they gain no extra physical attacks. Or if the user does create a technique involving 3 blows, that it is automatically multi-hit for that number.

Because of this, the speed at which he/she performs them is so great, that it is nearly impossible to keep up with or anticipate, and looks as though he/she were not performing them at all. Because of this, the options of combat available to the ninja become much more broad than before. Effect: Non-Offensive Jutsu may be used in the Setup Phase. Whenever this skill is used, all chakra regeneration is suspended for that turn. Cost: -5 Simple put. With that skill effect of Non-Offensive Jutsu in the Bloodline, those two Ranks must increase their costs to -4 each at minimum and have the same restriction: "Whenever this skill is used, all chakra regeneration is suspended for that turn". Though I'd suggest removing it all together, keeping the cost at -2. The price error shouldn't have happened but it did. Sorry for our lazy eye.
