Effect: • When unsheathed, this blade will turn by turn exchange levels with that of another weapon until the battle is over. Each turn will add (1) level from another weapon onto this one, and decrease (1) from that sourced weapon. This weapon can and will accumulate additional levels if there is more than one target with an applicable weapon or if the same target upon the field has another applicable weapon. This effect cannot be prevented or reversed by any means. Hototogisu, never to return, take my name and soar above clouds. "Devil” as Nevan deems it, is the most esteemed acquisition of his possessions, said to have been bequeathed whence traveling with one acknowledged with an equivalent nickname. This magnificent diversified and completely retailored mythological weapon possesses a blade measuring about thirty inches and is said to have been made of an alloy of titanium and carbon, sanctified with the finesse of Gods. The polished and beveled edges of the Katana have kept their phosphorus sheen throughout its long existence notwithstanding having swept through numerous objects and enemies alike. Not a single sketch of blood stain on this sculptured masterpiece; now more than ever due to its reconstruct. Speaking of which, the hilt is even more extraordinary when it comes to artisan and stunning success. Chiseled out of a black mahogany, it is of course exceptionally sturdy, but the ornamentations engraved and imprinted on the wood remain the most conspicuous features. When Susanoo inquired of Ashi na Zuchi, he told him that his family was being ravaged by the fearsome Yamato no Orochi, 8-headed serpent of Koshi, who consumed seven of the family's eight daughters and that the creature was coming for his final daughter, Kushinada. Susanoo proceeded to investigate the creature, and after an abortive encounter he returned with a plan to defeat it. In return, he asked for Kushinada's hand in marriage, which was agreed. Transforming her temporarily into a comb (one interpreter reads this section as 'using a comb he turns into [masquerades as] Kushinadahime') to have her company during battle, he detailed his plan. He instructed the preparation of 8 vats of sake (rice wine) to be put on individual platforms positioned behind a fence with 8 gates. The monster took the bait and put each of its heads through each gate. With this distraction, Susanoo attacked and slew the beast. He decapitated each head and then proceeded to the tails. In the fourth tail, he discovered a great sword inside the body of the dragon which he called Ame Murakumo-No-Tsurugi (Cloud Sword of The Heavens), which he presented to the goddess, Amaterasu to settle an old grievance. cntrstrk14 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I believe the weapon should state that the effect only happens when it is unsheathed, i.e. equipped. Otherwise in RP sense whenever you are standing around people with weapons, even if you are not fighting, it will gain levels. The price is fine, I just would like to see that small change.
