atk2700 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) Skill Name:Nenshou Fighting Style: The Snaking Flow Bloodline:Heart of Fire Description: A fighting style used by many of the members in the Nenshou Clan. It encompasses certain atacks, of both taijutsu and Ninjutsu, used by the clan, though there are many Ninjutsu and Taijutsu techniques in the clan that either don't belong to the style, or belong to a different style. The basis for this style is for the ninja using it to get behind their opponent and launch attacks at their exposed backs, to move beside an opponent and clip them along their body, or aim low and hit their legs after they attack. All of these types of attacks focus on being able to avoid an attack and strike in the opening left. Because of this, it is almost as important how well a ninja can move around in close spaces as it is how much power they put in their techniques. The Ninjutsu branch of this style is like the taijutsu branch, except instead of throwing punches, they form constructs of lava to throw at their opponent in short range. Effect:Techniques of this style use half modifiers from their original modifier(tai or nin) and half modifiers from evasion. The maximum offensive evasion modifier applicable to these techniques is 2x the other applicable modifier. Defenders use full modifiers of their original (either defense or resistance) Techniques of this style require the style be active. Style may be activated during the setup phase. Only one style may be active at a time. Requirements: N/A Cost:-2 Skill Name:The Snaking Flow Mastery Bloodline:Heart of Fire Description: Through great mastery of the style, a Nenshou member can learn to dodge better than other ninja could hope, especially after getting through an opponent's defenses and being able to anticipate their reaction. Effect: After successfully hitting with a clan style technique, the chance to hit of an attack launched by the opponent hit with said clan style technique is dropped to an otherwise unmodifiable 10% mimimum for the turn afterwards. Requirements: Nenshou Fighting Style; 10 jutsu points spent on Nenshou Style jutsu Cost:-1 Edited October 1, 2008 by atk2700
cntrstrk14 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 ok, to use half of another modifiers is at least a -2 SP skill, and if it is a fighting style then make sure you state it and that it has to be activated in the setup phase. the second one is worded strangly. Please clarify.
atk2700 Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 (edited) 1st-edited 2nd-Lets say you attack ninja A with a style technique, and that attack sucessfully hits. Until your next turn, any attack ninja A launches at you has a minimum to hit % at 10 as opposed to the normal 15. This doesn't work on any other ninja attacking you(e.i. Ninja B attacks you, you still have a minimum of 15 for that attack) or if your attack was dodged. If it was blocked, the effect still works. Edited April 2, 2007 by atk2700
Guest MrSako Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 i don't understand why it should apply to ninjutsu, though i see how it works for taijutsu.
atk2700 Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 (edited) It says only clan style nin, not only clan nin. The clan style nin will be like the fighting style, except after dodging instead of punching, they let loose a close range burts of lava. It gains the bonus since it's point is to stay out of the way while keeping in close range. I can explain it better in the description if you want. Edited April 7, 2007 by atk2700
experimental lover Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Nin - only clan may be used. Tai - any and all may be used?
atk2700 Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 Style modifier thing only ablies to clan style techniques meaning both tai and nin
experimental lover Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Alright, was just looking for clarification. APPROVED AND MOEVD (YES, MOEVD!)
Warr Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 These skills were moved back on the grounds they are broken via eva stacking, and they are also underpriced. WAaaaaaaaaaaaay underpriced.
Anima Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Warr, relize that this was indeed approved by Cntr, and just because he focuses on his evasion stat doesn't mean this is broken. Its just like saying you're moving back a Taijutsu made by someone because they have to high of a Taijutsu rating.

Simply because Cntr approved doesn't mean he caught it all. He might have been tired when he approved it, who knows. Not to the second skill is most definitely under costed, as someone else tried a similar skill and were told no, though they had a 4 SP cost. The first, in essence, negates the need to have ninjutsu or taijutsu, and allows him to shove as much Eva/accuracy as he wants, without consequence, for 2 SP. For 2 SP, which is what most other fighting styles, which allow possibly a +10 to damage or +10% to hit, cost. This allows him to extend what a stat would normally be capable of doing, and does so with no need for chakra or stamina, and does this more over, on an already extremely powerful and important stat. atk2700 Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 If anything, the second one is underpowered, not over priced.
Anima Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) ok, to use half of another modifiers is at least a -2 SP skill, and if it is a fighting style then make sure you state it and that it has to be activated in the setup phase.the second one is worded strangly. Please clarify. Know that Cntr was the one who set the price, so it wasn't as if he overlooked that. Perhaps the issue is with the judging of the other jutsu, if you could provide a link then it would all be good. Edited December 5, 2007 by Anima
Warr Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Oh? Wrong. Look at the skill "Sign of the Rabbit".
atk2700 Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 Ok, that skill was never pointed out as being over priced, it was the other skills that kept that topic from working. And, hakkai said that he had a skill that was better for the same price. That's always, this is situational, so it's worth atleast 1 less. It also only gets half the effect, the minus to the minimum, so if you cut that in half you're at it's current price.
Anima Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) Oh?Wrong. Look at the skill "Sign of the Rabbit". Defiently no, as sign of the rabbit was denied before such edits were made. You originally did more than what Atk wants to do. I'd have to agree with Cho's arguement in the thread, though the reason your's costed more was because you up'd the ability to strike. EDIT: You hit it before me Atk... Edited December 5, 2007 by Anima
Warr Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) You apparently don't understand that it was denied. Though Cho argued, that is one thing, this is another. Not to mention the fact that these two skills in the end make it absolutely okay to stack everything into Evasion. I would not have a problem with the mastery nearly as much, if it was not stacked with it's previous skill. This basically allows for him to get a 1/10th percent chance to be hit, unless another person eva stacks from all hell, and this also allows him the comfort of not being a pansy with hitting an opponent by the same movement. And how can throwing a lot of rolls and such make you hit harder with ninjutsu? Taijutsu is a possible okay, but with ninjutsu it makes no sense. Edited December 5, 2007 by Warr

Though Cho argued, that is one thing, this is another. Oh perhaps it is unwise to say one thing and do another as it was you that brought that topic into the discussion. By comparing the two, you allowed the comparision in the way each was critisized. Edited December 5, 2007 by Anima
Warr Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Then this needs to require there being lava field on it, if it's described as that. And though that might be, the fact is, this is still broken. The price needs to be raised in the least, and failing that, it's effects need to be dampened.
atk2700 Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 Anything of that sort would be in the techniques themselves.
