Clan Info: Long ago, there was a young ninja of the name Touketsu Shugo who wasn't really from anywhere as he traveled in search of a dream he had when he first read a book of fantasy. His dream was to find a legendary beast known as the dragon. Along his travels through the countries, he came across an area that was surrounded by Iwa, Kusa, Konoha, and Oto. He had found an intriging large deep cave that had a bloodly path leading to it. Was this the end of his search for a fantasy lost in dreams? As he lit a torch he had made with a dead tree branch, he entered the dark cavern out of curiosity -curiosity killed the cat, did it not?- and ventured deep into the darkness, only to trip over something unknown. Shugo quickly got back up on his feet, picking up his homemade torch. Moving the torch over to what he tripped over, he noticed that it had a slight gleam even though the object was black. It slithered away from the ninja quickly, heading deeper into the cave. As Shugo followed it carefully, he stepped in something of a heavy liquid. He moved his torch toward the substance and saw the deep red gleam of blood smiling back at him. Shugo stepped back, wondering if her should turn back. Shuddering his fear away, he took in a deep breath. He wouldn't give up now, he didn't want this effort to go all to waste, even if this creature wasn't a dragon. Shugo continued to follow the tail of the creature, to find the body of a giant lizard-like thing with huge bat-like wings, and razor sharp claws and fangs. Two blood red eyes looked down at Shugo up from a large platform of rock. The creature looked old, it's eyes aging. It was the color of the midnight sky with two silver strips down it's neck, along with silver gleaming horns, fangs, and claws. There were deep wounds on it's neck and right arm, and they were bleeding very heavily. Shugo stared at the creature; he had found a dragon at last after all that searching. Noticing the deep wounds on the dragon, he took out of his backpack his jug of water and a lot of bandages. Walking slowly towards the dragon, he saw the blood covered rocks and cavern floor. As he breached the dragon's side, Shugo knelt down, placing the things beside him. He reached for the water and opened the jug. He was going to wash the wounds but, wasn't positive on how the dragon was going to react. "This might sting some....So prepare yourself," he said, looking towards the creature's eyes. The dragon shifted it's head toward the young ninja and looked into his eyes as if to say "Why are you helping me? But go ahead if you feel you must". As Shugo poured the clean water on to the wounds, the dragon flinched, giving off a large shudder which caused some off the watered down blood to splatter on to the side of Shugo's face. The dragon laughed at the expression on the young ninja's face but, started coughing up blood and just let the man finished what he was doing. Shugo wrapped up the wounds and then stood back. "Is that better?" he asked, bowing his head. "Yes, thank-you. In return for your kindness in helping an old dying dragon, I give you my soul and energy...," said the dragon, a coughing fit starting up. After it was over, it began talking again. "What you gain from this will just be...A surprise...," it finished, as it's head lowered slowly on the rock bed it lay on. A silvery, foggy substance came from the dragon's mouth, it being the dragon's soul, and entered Shugo's body. His green eyes changed, swirling with a blood red cloud in them. The cloud settled and his eyes became the same as the now dead dragon, his pupils becoming middle sized slits. Black and silver energy swirled around him, forming a black whip-like tail, his fingers and toes turned into silver claws, his teeth became fanged-like, two silver horns formed on his head, a pair of black wings spread out from Shugo's back, and his skin became black, rough, scaly skin. Shugo bowed down to the dragon's corpse in respect, and backed out of the cavern and into the outside world once more. In respect for the dragon, the clan would be named Doragon. Shugo -who is now Doragon Shugo- looked at his new practically non-human look. He decided to train himself to use his new power, and turn it into a bloodline, just for his future clan, though they would have the blood red eyes for life, no longer able to have blue, or green eyes. It was now a trait that would stick with them. After five months had past, Doragon Shugo successfully created his new bloodline, and called it Doragon Sukin, known as Dragon Skin. Bloodline: Link to bloodline (approved) Name: Dragons Skin Description: The Doragon clan's bloodline, Dragon's Skin, allows the member of the clan who activates it to release a unique chakra containing the soul of the Black Elemental Dragon that Doragon Shugo had aided all those years ago, which molds itself upon the user and melds with their flesh, changing their appearance, and granting them several draconic features, each with a power beyond human understanding. Over time, the chakra is said to have permenant, almost unworldly effects on the those who master it, or perhaps, some say, it masters them...for their bodies assume more and more of an ageless, and draconic quality. Requirements: Clan Membership Ranks: 3 Gennin: 20% Chakra per turn to be paid in the loss tag phase Chuunin: 10% Chakra per turn to be paid in the loss tag phase Jounin+: 5% Chakra per turn to be paid in the loss tag phase First Rank:Ryuuko (dragon child) effects: the user may now activate Dragonform in setup phase and access the following draconic feature skills. Requirement:Genin cost: -1 Draconic features for rank 1: Name: Dragon's skin: tail lvl 1 Description: Black chakra ,olds itself to create the dragon tail, allowing the user to send out shockwaves with a simple swing of the tail. Effect: Character may make an Area-Effect attack with basic attacks (does not effect user). Usable once per battle per Ninja rank. User applies Taijutsu OR Ninjutsu (whichever is higher) and targets apply Defense or resistance (whichever is lower). useable only in dragonform cost:-1 Name: Dragon's skin: claws lvl 1 Description: Silver chakra for dragon talons, granting user devastating slashin attacks Effect: For every extra chakra spent, a basic attack deals 1 more damage (maximum chakra useable per attack=cost of stamina). The chakra is spent after base damage is calculated and before opponent rolls the dodge roll. useable only in dragon form Cost:-2 Name:Dragon's skin: Dragon scales lvl 1 Description:Black chakra for dragon's scales...yet they glisten like hardened steel... Effect: user gains 2x to resistance (x=character's level) cost:-2 Name:Dragon's skin: Dragon breath lvl 1 Description: the dragon's chakra melds into the skin and inside of the mouth, granting the user a...fire-gland inside them, enabling them to put their physical energy into the clan's fire jutsus. Effect: Opponent must spend double chakra/stamina when using Jutsu to dodge/prevent damage from user's attacks. Name: Dragon's skin: dragon scales lvl 2 Description: Black chakra for dragon's scales...darker in color yet they seem to have a slight tinge on the edges Effect: 2x Resistance and Defense, x = character's level. When using using Jutsu/skills against Jutsu, if all damage is reduced to 0, character does not suffer the other effects of the attack. Cost: -2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rank 3: Ryuujin (Dragon king) Effect: the clan member no longer suffers age penalties Cost:-1 Requirement:Jounin Name:Dragon's skin: dragon wings lvl 1 Description: Black chakra forms dragon wings...enables the clan member to soar high in the sky Effect: May 'take flight' using the chakra wings (does not take up a phase). While 'in flight' Area-Effect Jutsus may be dodged normally and may not be targetted by close-range attacks, but may not use close-range attacks. Apply a "+35% bonus to dodge non-Genjutsu attacks while in flight. If given a message (up to 200 words) to deliver, Ratatöskr will deliver the message without a fail, so long as the receiver is either a member of the Doragon Clan or has been introduced to Ratatöskr by one of the Doragon Clan members. Also traveling in between countries takes time and as such, it takes 1 RL hour for every 100 words (rounded) with a minimum time of 30 minutes for messages delivered within the same country. However, being a land animal, Ratatöskr cannot travel to or from the following countries/areas: Country of water The Eastern Ocean Description: A servant of the Doragon clan, Ratatöskr, the squirrel holds a rather important position. Unlike most summons, Ratatöskr is completely Ill-suted to combat, both physically and mentally. Description: one of the basic techniques of the Doragon clan, it is often taught to those of the doragon clan beginning their training in the ways of ninjutsu. a low-powered fireball, designed to release a high-density smoke screen upon impact, impairing the targets eyesight. Points: 1 Name: 火とん: 蚊燻 (katon: kayari) lvl 2. Type: Ninjutsu [Fire, Clan] Rank: Chuunin Cost: 59 Damage: 5 Effects: opponent has impaired eysight for 2 turns and prone for 1 if the opponent is close-ranged they are now mid-ranged. Description: the strengthened form of kayari, it still remains a low-powered fireball. However, the intensity of the smoke screen and impact have greatly increased, going so far as to send those in close range flying. Points: 2 (may evolve for +1) Clan Skills: (Custom skills your clan has that are not the bloodline) Fire is Skill Name: As natural as breathing lvl 1 Bloodline: Dragon's skin Description: Through the mastery of Dragon's skin, the user has become so used to fire jutsus that they have lost the ability to distinguish from normal fire justsus and clan jutsus. Effect: Dragon's skin: dragon's breath can be applied to all fire jutsus. Cost: -1 Requirements:Dragon's skin: dragon's breath, must know at least 1 clan and 1 normal fire jutsu Skill Name: As natural as breathing lvl 2 Bloodline: Dragon's skin Description: By continuing their training with fire, the user's body has adapted to fire to the point where fire jutsus can be readily used without any handseals Effect: hand seals are no longer required to use fire jutsus Cost: -2 requirements:Chuunin. must know As natural as breathing lvl 1 and have at least 5 different fire jutsus. cntrstrk14 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Maybe I missed it, but is this clan Kumo based? It says originally from Kumo, but you need to make sure to declare for certain where they start.
