Azure Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Now that we're done with Sunrise and Spider trap topics, Konoha is mostly free, but the point here is I want to know how I did in your eyes. In order to better the GM experience, I think some constructive criticism is needed. This is purely voluntary, but I strongly encourage participation. You don't have to follow any guidelines, but I'll list some recommended topics: -Did you enjoy it? -How well were the surprises? -How well did I develop the NPCs? -What was your favorite/least favorite part? -How difficult was it? -How well do you think I put the story together? -Was it easy to understand and keep up? -Did you enjoy the ending? -Any questions? This is open to anyone following the story not involved too, I would like an outside party's opinion too if possible. It' no big deal if you don't want to post, I just figured it would help in the long run. Quote
Hiro Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Fighting Gorma, that big spider person with Cd, Regira, Souji, and takumi was probably one of the better experiences I'm had on NA. Good job from my POV blueboy. Quote
Zereon Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 If everything had been going faster it would have been a really awesome job, but no one can control inactivity so it's a really awesome job ^^; (I was also inactive so I'm not blaming anyone.) Enjoyed the time spent in the thread. Great work on the NPCs. Favorite part was the beginning, least favorite part was the waiting. For me it seemed very well balanced, the enemies weren't easy but the weren't too hard either. I'm perfectly fine with the ending. Quote
Regira Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Well this was the first thing I did when entering Ninja Academy and I've been there ever since ^^ But I liked it! It was fun and the RP experience was good. The story was good and it caught interest, something that you would feel kept you for what was to happen next. Though it all could get slow at times (mostly my own fault) it all was very fun! I loved the part in Spider-Trap where we ran into the forest and all that happened in there, it was exciting. For me this was a good start here on Ninja Academy and I thank you for the fun it brought ^^ Quote
Baromosa Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I rather liked the ending. Especially the last line. I find it interesting how Soujiro, some random man Kinamoto Baromosa met in the woods on one rainy night ended up sacrificing himself in the end after a long string of events. I also find it ironic my second character found his way to see the end and Baro saw the beginning ^.^ As for the difficultly? Not incredible, but I don't think it was supposed to be. Having a very difficult epilogue takes away from the important events that happened I feel. Though it could have felt more dangerous, I think we all got through it alright. While we were playing it felt like no matter how badly we screwed up Soujiro and Noel could save the day. Its like they kept saying we were so important, but first sit back and let daddy handle this so you will know how to next time. Over all, I had a lot of fun and enjoyed it extremely. Now I'm looking forward to roleplaying around Konoha at last ^.^ Quote
Rakirian Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I really enjoyed it^^ The tempo of it all could had been faster but thats something due to inactivity by some members(me included><). I really enjoyed the variation of events in the entire thread going from: Genjutsu "world" to wandering through trap infested tunnels. A very good job and story telling. Now I just hope we will all get some time to interact and develop some sort of connection with other players before a new big event unfolds/time skip etc. Quote
cntrstrk14 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I had lots of fun when it was moving. One thing I would suggest though, cut down on the amount of text or 'fluff' in your writing. Sometimes, just get straight to the point of what is going on. I find myself getting lost sometimes in the stories because nothing happens for lengths of time... Aside that though I really like the situations you put us in to act on (when I figure out what they are xD). Interesting takes on the situations. Quote
Kouta Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Kouta replies! Did you enjoy it? I did. I had lots of fun. I always enjoy roleplay puzzles/fights and the sort, and you had lots of them. I think the difficulty might've been a little low. I didn't feel afraid to die in any situation. How well were the surprises? The surprises were okay. Nothing overly huge. I did VERY MUCH like the random hallways one. That one was perhaps my favorite part of the journey. Running through hallways and then coming back out. I like that you weren't afraid to be like "Nope, you picked wrong hallway. FAIL." How well did I develop the NPCs? The NPCs were very well developed. I was a little lost the whole time since I jumped in around the middle, and had no clue who they were, but I expected that. How difficult was it? Difficulty was a little low. Felt almost like a PG Movie. I wasn't eager to be killed, but I never really felt any danger either. As thwe weakest character, I expected to get a LITTLE scared. How well do you think I put the story together? Story was great. Very well constructed. I thought some things sort of came out of nowhere, but that may again be due to my late entry. Was it easy to understand and keep up? Understanding was...awkward. The non-essential novels made me effectively skim over some important details that I had to re-read a few times to catch. Not to knock down your roleplaying. It was very good writing, just maybe OVERLY detailed. Did you enjoy the ending? Again, I got the general gist of everything, but I ended out skipping over the longer descriptive paragraphs, so I missed some of it. Quote
