cntrstrk14 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 : Remake of This Item; Will Replace It : Divine Scroll of the 34 Forbidden Arts Item Slots Taken: 5 Effect: Unique [Only one of these in existence], Access to learn the 77 Forbidden Art Techniques. Learning from this scroll may fulfill a requirement as if you were learning from another who knew the technique. Description: The Divine Scroll of the 77 Forbidden Arts is a large scroll measuring three feet in length and at least half that size in width. It is made of regular paper which has grown slightly yellow as time has passed. The wooden post in the middle that the scroll is wrapped around is a thick and dark Ashwatta wood. The wood of the Ashwatta trees is held sacred to the Hindus, Jains and Buddhists for its supposedly mystical properties. There are rumors that the wood from this scroll is actually from the original Bodhi tree, under which Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, is said to have meditated upon reaching Nirvana. These claims are impossible to prove, but it does give the scroll a sacred aura around it. The wood on each end is delicately carved with old runes and kanji and the scroll itself is kept is a leather holster made for it's protection. The holster is immune to basic fire and water damage, though if specifically targeted by any type of attack would not hold well. Upon the upper and lower portions of the scroll are thick dark blue lines that border the writing. The contents of this scroll are access to 34 Forbidden Arts, each of which requires a blood contract to use, not unlike a summoning scroll. The most interesting thing about this scroll however is its history. Before it fell into the control of the Country of Earth nearly one hundred years ago, this scroll was a myth amongst ninja. Everyone who owned the scroll would take what they wanted and leave what they wanted, but the number of techniques never increased over 34. If a new technique was added to the scroll, a previous technique would need to be removed. It is hard to tell how many or if any of the techniques on the scroll are from the original owner at all. Contents: (Revealed in Role Play) - Forbidden Art #14; Flying Thunder God Technique (Hiraishin no Jutsu) - Forbidden Art #31; Essence Clone Skill (Shinzui Bunshin No Jutsu) - Forbidden Art #34; Kan-Laon Cost: $10
