Genetic Mutation #42

Harō Kouka (Halo Effect)

(Advanced System)
The Halo Effect was first discovered within the subject Endō Tsubasa, and has yet to be seen in any other study. The occurrence of which seems to be tied to his genetic code, but is unconfirmed as of now. The Halo Effect itself manifests within a single eye, as of the case of Endō Tsubasa, and forms a slightly darker shade of color around the pupil of the affected eye. Whether the color of the eye is dependent on the power or effectiveness of the mutation is unknown, or whether the subject's eye color was determined because of said mutation at birth is also unknown. Within the subject the mutation manifested as a dark shade of blue within his already blue eye. The exact cause or effects of this apparent Doujutsu are not completely understood, yet this file will try and document to the best of our abilities, the power of this genetic mutation.

Harō Kaisen (Halo Circuits)
The first studied effects of the mutation is a strange increase in direct damage dealt as a result of physical blows. These blows seem to require a large amount of concentration on the part of the subject. Subject has claimed that he can see 'grooves' or 'lines' upon his targets, in which guide him to strike critical blows. Upon investigation, the subject tried his best to communicate the location of these 'lines', but confessed that he had a hard time doing so as they appear to shift with time. Any of the 'lines' he was able to show us though seem to have no known connection to circulatory system, vital organs, chakra coil system, bone structure, muscle tissue or any other type of bodily structure that we can confirm. The exact method to these 'Halo Circuits' as we have dubbed them is unknown and may surpass our current understandings of the human body or even matter as a whole, as the subject has been able to show that these lines exist not only on human bodies.

Requirements:
-Related to Endō Tsubasa; same generation or younger.

Rank Requirements:
0 – Required (Must be taken at level 0)
1 – Membership (At least level 10)
2 – Chuunin Rank (At least level 25)
3 – Chuunin Rank (At least level 40)
4 – Jounin Rank (At least level 60)

*How the character covers their eye is up to them to decide. Must either have a store bought item, skill, technique or other means to do so. Said method must require at least a setup phase to preform. All ranks must be learned in order, none may be skipped.

Rank 0: Character looses 5% chakra every turn that their eye is uncovered. If 25% chakra is lost this way the character is inflicted with the status effect 'Headache' until the second turn after the eye is covered. Character's chakra cannot be reduced below 15% because of this effect. If the user's chakra is below or at 15% and they do not use their next immediate set-up phase to cover the eye, or if they uncover the eye while below or at 15% chakra, then the effects of 'Headache' are doubled, and the user is inflicted with 'Headache' until the fourth turn after the eye is covered. 'Headache's effects return to normal two turns after their chakra returns above 15%. The eye shows no sign of the 'halo' at this point.(+1)
Rank 1: For every 30 points in Concentration this character has they gain +1% to their critical strike chance on physical attacks. Maximum of +10% can be received from this effect. Critical strikes cannot be prevented by any passive non-bloodline effect while this is activated. Eye must be uncovered for these effects to take place. While eye is uncovered this effect overrides the normal bonus Concentration gives to critical strike with Taijutsu. 'Halo' appears for the first time. (Critical strike chance is 1% Normally, upon the opponent rolling a 1 on their dodge roll.)(-1)
Rank 2: Once per battle this character may have all attacks they perform this turn deal critical damage. If targets do not take damage from at least one of these attacks this skills is considered unused. Cannot be taken with 'Strategist' or any other skill that gives similar bonuses. Overrides any other 'multiplier' that may be built into a technique. Eye must be uncovered for these effects to take place. Critical hits may at no time ever stack with each other. Maximum of +15% can be received from Rank 1.(-2)
Rank 3: For every 20 points in Concentration this character has they gain +1% to their critical strike chance on physical attacks. Maximum of +30% can be received from this effect. Critical strikes cannot be prevented by any passive non-bloodline effect while this is activated. Eye must be uncovered for these effects to take place. While eye is uncovered this effect overrides the normal bonus Concentration gives to critical strike with Taijutsu. Replaces Rank 1.(-2)
Rank 4: Twice per battle this character may have all attacks they perform this turn deal critical damage. Maximum of +50% can be received from Rank 3.(-3)

Harō Omori (Halo Amulet)
The second side effect of the mutation is a strange occurrence in the target of the subject's Genjutsu based attacks. When using chakra based mind attacks, the human targets of the opponent would at times suffer from an extremely severe paroxysmal headache, usually confined to one side of the head and often associated with nausea. These ‘migraines' were not the intent of the subject, and did not show a steady trend of occurrence within the studies.* While progressing, it seemed that as the subject inflicted these ‘migraines', as we are calling them, upon the targets he could prolong the inevitable start of his own headaches. It should be noted that the subjects headaches were considered to be of much less severity than his targets. The probability of these ‘migraine' effects could be linked to a similar occurrence known to happen with Genjutsu when specific charms are used to strengthen the infliction. The possibility that the eye itself, being used as a charm, causes the ‘migraine' associated with nausea in the targets. Some other studies into Doujutsu based Genjutsu have shown similar correlation with their effects. All occurrences of these ‘migraines' occurred only while the eye itself was uncovered, and never manifested in control experiments with the eye covered.
* - Later studies concluded that the longer a single human target was subjected to mind-based attacks from the subject, the more frequent these ‘migraines' would occur. It seems long term exposure to the subject's mutation can cause an increase in these migraine effects.

Requirements:
-Harō Kaisen (Halo Circuits): Rank 0.

Rank Requirements:
1 – Membership (At least level 15)
2 – Chuunin Rank (At least level 30)
3 – Jounin Rank (At least level 50)
4 – Jounin Rank (At least level 70)

Rank 1: For every turn an opponent has within a battle with the user, concentration based attacks from the user have a 2% chance per turn to inflict the opponent with 'Migraine' for the following turn, to a maximum of 20%. Does not stack for multiple turns. 'Headache' status effect inflicted from Harō Kaisen (Halo Circuits): Rank 0 is not inflicted until 30% chakra is spent in this way. Eye must be uncovered for these bonuses to have effect.(-1)
Rank 2: For every turn an opponent has within a battle with the user, concentration based attacks from the user have a 2% chance per turn to inflict the opponent with 'Migraine' for the following turn, to a maximum of 40%. Does not stack for multiple turns. 'Headache' status effect inflicted from Harō Kaisen (Halo Circuits): Rank 0 is not inflicted until 35% chakra is spent in this way. Eye must be uncovered for these bonuses to have effect.(-1)
Rank 3: For every turn an opponent has within a battle with the user, concentration based attacks from the user have a 4% chance per turn to inflict the opponent with 'Migraine' for the following turn, to a maximum of 60%. Does not stack for multiple turns. 'Headache' status effect inflicted from Harō Kaisen (Halo Circuits): Rank 0 is not inflicted until 40% chakra is spent in this way. Eye must be uncovered for these bonuses to have effect.(-1)
Rank 4: For every turn an opponent has within a battle with the user, concentration based attacks from the user have a 4% chance per turn to inflict the opponent with 'Migraine' for the following turn, to a maximum of 80%. Does not stack for multiple turns. 'Headache' status effect inflicted from Harō Kaisen (Halo Circuits): Rank 0 is not inflicted until 45% chakra is spent in this way. Eye must be uncovered for these bonuses to have effect.(-1)

* Opponent rolls a d100 after they are hit with the concentration based attack. If they roll below or equal to the user's current chance to inflict (on the turn the user preformed the technique) then they are under the effect of 'Migraine'.
* Opponent is immune to the effects of 'Migraine' if they were inflicted with it for the past 3 turns (Or its maximum duration).

This is a resubmittal of my second character’s bloodline. The changes are very small, and it is mostly to just combine these both into one sheet.

- Haro Kaisen (Halo Circuits) no longer stacks with the critical strike bonus given from concentration to Taijutsu.

- Critical strikes cannot be prevented by any passive non-bloodline effect while this is activated.

- Slight wording changes to clarify the effects.
