cntrstrk14 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Inlaid Element: I assume you understand that many abilities won't interact with this as they often say "Ninjutsu with x element gain..." and such? (Ninjutsu Mastery, etc.). In fact, my biggest problem with this is likely that there are going to be surprise interactions here that were unintended because of sloppy wording in approvals. Also, add on that this ability can only be bought once. I don't want any rainbow swords with every element floating around. Elemental Attunement; [X Element]: Sorry, going to break this a second. I buy a level 1 medium weapon, put inlaid Lightning and this ability. That is $220. My name is Sato. I just bought One Handed Seals for $220. Sure, you could break it. Okay, I pay $660 for three of them. If you break one I just pull out another. This needs a higher price of entry, however... Also, this ability has been used on other weapons in the past but I don't know if it should be general. This feels like a special ability for a weapon rather than an attribute. Elemental Resonance; [X Element]: Sure, I like that this is a cool take on Ninjutsu Honing without the travel requirement. It's also better since it TECHNICALLY makes it a hybrid weapon. True Elemental Resonance; [X Element]: Sure, see above.
Hardcore Skittlez Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Added that line to the first ability, removed the damage modifier part and reduced the cost by half to compensate. I realized that I was tackling what I wanted that portion of the ability to do wrongly, and as you suggested, it would lead only to awkward interactions. Elemental Attunement was entirely removed, will probably just apply that to a specific weapon later on down the road as you suggested. Resonance and True Resonance had their requirements changed to account for the removal of Elemental Attunement.
