Alchemy Secret Technique; God of Fire

Alchemy Cerebral Training
Training: Must completed a 20-post training according to the training guidelines, under supervision of someone who has mastered the training. The in character time to complete this training is four (4) months. If a trainer is not available, increase this time to six (6) months.
Training Guideline: The trainee undergoes a series of mental preparation in order to prolong the transmutation sequence. An innate knowledge of transmutation is a necessity as without it one could easily have the reaction collapse upon themselves. A number of Alchem have lost limbs when preforming Renkin Hijutsu; Mangukukuramu because of this inversion.
Effect: Allows the trainee to learn Renkin Hijutsu; Mangukukuramu.
Requirements: Alchemic Eye [Rank 4], Alchemic Thought [Rank 4]

Renkin Hijutsu; Mangukukuramu | Alchemy Secret Technique; God of Fire | 錬金秘術•火神
Type: Ninjutsu [Dust | Alchem Hijutsu | Kinjutsu; Powerful | Sealing | Sealless]
Rank: Jounin
Cost: 380 Chakra
Damage: 250
Effect: When struck with this attack, the opponent chooses whether or not to apply their Defense to this attack. If they do, they are inflicted with the seal 'Molecular Damage'. 'Molecular Damage' reduces the target's Defense stat by the amount of damage that their Defense stat reduced from this attack. 'Molecular Damage' does not stack. If a character would be inflicted with two instances of 'Molecular Damage' they instead take the larger instance and replace the smaller instance. 'Molecular Damage' persists until the target seeks treatment*. Deals critical damage to Barriers and Shields. May only be used twice per battle.
Description: An ancient Alchemy technique that has been passed on for generations since a time before memory. The origins of this technique are so ancient and raw that the original name of Mangakuramu is an homage to a god of a long forgotten religion. The ninja engulfs their hand in a flame of blue and gold chakra, visible to the naked eye. The chakra is a continuous transmutation, causing anything that it comes in contact with to be sliced on a molecular level. The chakra de-magnetizes the atoms, causing them to lose their bonds and explode apart into their simplest existing forms. Many Alchem describe Mangakuramu to be one of the most basic of Alchem techniques, which accounts for it's raw destructive power. This technique has a distinct sound which many have compared to that of a crackling camp side fire, but sped up one thousand times to a frenzy.
Requirements: Alchemy Cerebral Training, Level 75
Points: 8

Renkin Hijutsu; Kyuukyoku Mangukukuramu | Alchemy Secret Technique; Final God of Fire | 錬金秘術•究極火神
Type: Ninjutsu [Dust | Alchem Hijutsu | Kinjutsu; Powerful | Sealing | Sealless]

Rank: Sennin
Cost: 900 Chakra
Damage: 650
Effect: When struck with this attack, the opponent chooses whether or not to apply their Defense to this attack. If they do, they are inflicted with the seal 'Molecular Damage'. 'Molecular Damage' reduces the target's Defense stat by 2x the amount of damage that their Defense stat reduced from this attack.
The final version, which is said to be the perfected version, is passed on from clan head to clan head through a hidden scroll kept secret by the clan. Though ninja outside the clan head have learned it in the past, it is considered taboo to do so. The power of the technique is thought to be too great for more than one to gain at any one time. The ninja engulfs their hand in a flame of blue and gold chakra, visible to the naked eye. Rather than simply engulfing the hand though, the final version extends from the arm like a blade.
Requirements: Renkin Hijutsu; Mangakuramu, Alchemic Eye: Mastery, Alchemic Thought: Mastery, Level 100
Points: 13 [Evolving 5; Renkin Hijutsu; Mangakuramu]

'Molecular Damage' does not stack. If a character would be inflicted with two instances of 'Molecular Damage' they instead take the larger instance and replace the smaller instance. 'Molecular Damage' persists until the target seeks treatment. Treatment involves medical aid of a ninja of Jounin rank or higher, twenty four (24) hours of in character time, and a recovery post of 5x words.

Notes
- Resubmissions, originals can be found
here and here.
- These original jutsu are the Alchem equivalent of Rasengan, Chidori, etc. A secret raw power jutsu that taps into the core of what the clan does.
- Here is a link to Alchemy for requirement reference.

I'm going to tackle the Jonin rank one first, since dealing with this on the smallest level will make tweaking the stronger variant easier.

So, the cost of God of Fire is actually fairly close to where I'd like it to be before accounting for it being seal-less. With the seal-less aspect accounted for, that'll boost the cost up to 570 Chakra. To push the cost back down to a more manageable level, I believe that it will either need a mandatory skill(that specifically grants access to this technique and its evolutions), or some training attached. In the case of the later, I'm going to insist on what I imagine will be an unpopular opinion and say that training required for these techniques will still need to be performed by those with them(in this case, Syaoran), despite already possessing the technique. If it had previously required training, I'd say waive it, but moving from no training->to training sets a weird precedent to me because it could encourage people to try to resubmit their "signature techniques" in stronger forms with strict required training as compensation but then not have to do it because they "already possess" that technique.

I like that thought, I will mill over whether I want this to be training gated or skill gated. I am a fan of the idea of skill gating strong techniques. Will post again when I've decided.

These should probably say "forbidden; powerful" in the tags.

Like I mentioned to you in private, I'd like to see these play-tested. The seals seem like a real son of a bitch to fight against. The costs otherwise seem pretty fair. I'm going to give a provisional approval, with the agreement that if they need to be pulled back after your battle with Yatako that we'll do that.

I'm not a huge fan of the Forbidden; Powerful tag as they don't really go beyond other signature jutsu like Rasengan and Chidori. The tag, as far as I know, would only be a boon to me as those types of jutsu often become harder to respond to in edge cases. If possible I would like to avoid it, or if I can only apply it to the second version and not the first.

And of course, my stuff is always up for reconsideration given playtesting.

Forbidden; Powerful applies to anything that would be considered Forbidden because of its CP, but doesn't violate the laws of nature or anything. Most of the Rasengan and Chidori techs aren't Forbbiden; Powerful. The reason I would prefer it be added is mostly because we've been pretty adamant on making sealing jutsu that do permanent negative things to the opponent also Forbidden level jutsu.

I thought the point of a sealing jutsu was that it's effects lasted outside of battle. Does that mean all sealing is a subset of forbidden? I'm not terribly oppose to making these Forbidden, but we should probably nail down the guidelines there.

Our differences between Sealing and Forbidden right now are shit. The guidelines are sooo old.

On Forbidden

Only Jounin Rank shinobi may take Kinjutsu, but usually they will only be available to the Sennin Rank, or level 100. This includes Juuin Jutsu (Curse Seals), Fuuinjutsu (Sealing Jutsu), and some Ninjutsu/Genjutsu/Taijutsu, and the occasional Hijutsu. All of these techniques contain a rank assigned to them and you must be that rank to learn them. You cannot purchase any of these for 2x JP cost at a lower rank. NO GENNIN OR CHUUNIN RANK OF ANY OF THESE TECHNIQUES ALLOWED NO MATTER WHAT. Jounin Rank of these will be very rare and not as powerful. Sealing jutsu and Curse Seals will never be Jounin.

On Sealing

Sealing Jutsu denotes a certain type of ninjutsu style that effectively marks a target with a seal that will affect that character outside of the current battle. The type "Sealing" can be placed after Ninjutsu in any technique much like the element, village name or other like tags.

Sealing Jutsu are a special type of Forbidden Jutsu, and as such they follow the same rules. All Sealing Jutsu are of either Powerful or Unnacceptable rank and only ninja of Sennin Rank may take Sealing Jutsu (sometimes Jounin Rank under very limited circumstances; ask an administrator). All other rules for Forbidden Jutsu are applied to Sealing Jutsu

I'm not against revisiting these because they're garbage right now, but they are what they are.

I changed my mind, I really don't like it having Forbidden on it, it just really feels 'wrong'. I've been thinking about how to rectify this. Debating changing the entire technique because of it.
