Kazekage Junsei had been doing research in secret for years on how to transform the harsh deserts of Kaze no Kuni into flowering plains. He is a long way off from that terraformation, but research always needs experimentation. Traveling in secret to the remains of Kusagakure no Sato, he sought to revive the village and resurrect Korin from her sacrificial grave. Alchem Syaoran, knowing that miracles always came with a price, moved to stop him. For they never told anyone, but the Alchem had been attempting such a thing for years and his mother accidentally created a vampire tree.  Now the son of the clan head must deliver temperance before man's good nature will cause a blight,

Kaze no Kuni was a country that taught each of its residents the importance of surviving. Sunagakurians, and indeed all of Kaze no Kuni residents, were viewed as such strong people for their ability to cope with such unforgiving conditions. The Village Hidden in the Sand, a breeding ground of many legendary shinobi had for many years managed to survive by remaining almost completely isolated from the rest of the world. 
 
The previous Kazekage mandated that they could sustain themselves for most if not all necessities. It was not easy, each day a new struggle, but only to the outside world. Within the country’s borders, life was just as it always had been. There was nothing to fix or rebel against; this was simply reality.
 
Except Junsei never seemed to be able to accept that. His whole life, he worked to make life easier for others. He was a farmer and a medic, one who fed and healed others. He looked upon his home with despair. His people didn’t deserve this. They deserved the prosperity that countries like Hi no Kuni enjoyed.
 
So his research began from a very young age. It started with farming experiments. How could he make a more bountiful yield of crops without the nutrient rich soil other countries had. His own affinity towards plants and nature helped him. Each new breakthrough brought few answers but dozens of new questions. His looked upon the rolling dunes of his home, the vast, seemingly endless desert and he saw the future for his people.
 
Hills of rolling green, beautiful flowers swaying in the breeze, the plains rich with wildlife. His people would have meat and vegetation. New trades would be introduced to create an even stronger economy than before. His people would no longer struggle. It was his duty to his people.
 
So he worked and experimented. He climbed the shinobi ranks, just to attain restricted knowledge. Finally he had gone as far as he could, before hitting a block. There was information that only the Kazekage could have. It was information that Junsei needed to complete his research, information to save his people.
 
So he killed Ma’at Akilah in one on one combat and became the new Kazekage. He proved his strength to those who questioned him and he found knowledge that advanced his research by decades. 
 
It was all finally coming together. He went on a quest. He sealed a dozen yokai of a specific variety into stones carved with an advanced jutsu formula.  After years of searching, researching, experimenting, fighting, earning, surviving, Junsei had finally cracked the code. At least in theory. All he needed now was to experiment in a real world setting.
 
Kusagakure no Sato had been wiped off the face of the planet by a Yokai nearly twenty years before. The country was barren. Not a single seed flourished. Even the talents of the Hanamajo Kazekage produced weak fruit. However, with the power of the yokai and the knowledge attained from the Kazekage’s records, he thought he could revive the country. The key to everything; reviving Haramatsu Korin. She had sacrificed herself and became a tree, but in a way she stilled lived. Bringing back the dead was a feat of the gods, but manipulation of nature and the human body, that was work for a doctor and botanist. 
 
There were those who disagreed with Junsei’s vision. They said it couldn’t be done, shouldn’t be done. Toying with nature was in and of itself a very bad idea. At first, Junsei happily struggled against these naysayers, hoping to change their minds with his findings, but as he came closer and closer to the answer, they became more and more adamant about preventing him from succeeding. His own sister. She tried to stop him in the dead of night. An assassin who fought to end Junsei’s journey down this road. 
 
He had no choice but to kill her. She would never understand, but at least she could look down on him and be happy when he succeeded. This was all for people like her. No more would there be fighting over resources that no one had. There would be plenty for everyone and Junsei would provide for and protect his people at all costs.
 
Nothing would stop him. No one. This was only the beginning. After he revived Korin, his research would continue and he would succeed in changing the very face of the planet.

Iwagakure had always been a constant in the storm of the world. The country was stout, unmoving, and consistent. Being that it was removed from much of the conflict of the continent geographically, it often found itself mediating. It was the pinnacle where the Kumogakure War was haulted, their blitzkrieg across the continent hit the Country of Earth and the Alchem clan turned them back. Some say it was because of the flow of the invasion, Iwagakure had been the final stop and the Kumogakure troops had not been able to continue. Little knew the real truth, that the invasion had been cut off by a lone Alchem woman who was in Kusagakure during the attack. A large force was suppose to leave Kusagakure through a teleportation ninjutsu, but this young woman understood the plot and was able to stop the troops from leaving Kusagakure. The move had cost her an eye, but she escaped and left the mass of ninja stranded for key hours before they could meet their breatheren in Iwa. This had allowed the Country of Earth to rally, fight off the first wave and prepare for the second. They had defeated the invasion, and pushed back through each nation, ending the Kumogakure Empire before it could begin. It was a footnote in history, a failed plan by a nation that had inconvenienced the world for a few months. But the feat had earned the Alchem woman a place of honor in her home, and the title of Sennin. 

 

The son of this woman, Alchem Syaoran, was now a high ranking Jounin as well, some said he should be a Sennin but he had yet to prove himself worthy of the title. He was an inventor at heart, his nose in books half the day and practicing ninjutsu the rest. He had notebooks full of inventions, ideas of airships and teleportation and medicines. Things to help the world improve, but he did not have that final push or drive to make his ideas reality. Instead he worked in the village, striving to prove himself, one day he would show the world his ideas. Except when? He was already in his late thirties, and he had done many tasks for the village but never had been the hero. He had never been in the limelight like his mother had.

 

Then it had come to him. The intelligence briefings warned of suspicious activity by the Kazekage, a man named Junsei who had taken the title by combat years ago and continue to isolationism that his country had held for decades. There was so little information known about him and his motives, but one spy had returned with information. The Kazekage was heading to Kusagakure, the heart of the disaster twenty years ago. The ninjutsu used there was frightening, something that had wiped a village clean from the map in an instant. Syaoran knew there was something going on here, and he intended to find out what. So he left, in the dead of night, alone. It was quick traveling, passing through the country by a series of jutsu shiki he had assembled throughout the years while working in various reaches. On the edge of the country he would continue by foot, arriving in the foreign land vacant of life. He hesitated at the edge of the blast, a clean line even twenty years later with lush green grass on one side and blackened earth on the other. With a deep breath he stepped forward, passing into this void and towards the truth. He would find out what the Kazekage planned and report back the information. Maybe it would be here, where his mother made her stand, that Syaoran would find his own honor.

Junsei stopped mid-stride. The seals he had placed on perimeter alerted him to the presence of another. A scowl crossed his face. This was supposed to be a private affair. No one could know what he was doing here. The likelihood of this intruder being a Sunagkurian was slim, travel outside of the country was strictly controlled and regulated. Which meant that this was likely a person from another nation. What Junsei was attempting to do here could not be uncovered by the other nations. They would move to stop him and try to keep his country at a disadvantage. 

 

There was a roil of anticipation in his stomach for a moment. He calmly brought his hands together. He formed seals with purpose, but not in haste. Each one deliberate and calculated. With a quiet puff of smoke, Junsei called three more of himself to existence.

They stood in a circle, each one facing another direction, their eyes scanning the horizon for signs of the intruder.  He would not be taken by surprise, no matter who approached, he would do whatever it took to continue the experiment.

Description: Seen as the opposite side of the coin from the Spore Clone, the Blossom Clone is often utilized by the medical shinobi of the clan. Upon their creation, Blossom clones are imparted with a touch of medical chakra. This medical chakra activates upon the destruction of the clone in the form of a whirlwind of flower petals that gently blow over the user of the technique, healing minor wounds.

Path of the Advanced Medic | -1 sp

 

After years of training in the art of medicine, the Medical Ninja has an easier time diagnosing and treating their patients. These medical ninja have devoted all of their power to saving lives and healing others. Because of this, their battle capabilities are much lower than the average shinobi. This is a path for the devoted healer.

Effect: The player may take the skill "Field Surgeon". Medical Jutsu now use 100% of the user's Ninjutsu modifier.

Anatomical Mastery

- Shield Creation: Whenever a Medical Jutsu heals a character, that character gains a shield that absorbs an amount of damage equal to 25% (rounded down) of the amount healed. The shield lasts until depleted or the end of that player's next turn.

RP Guide:

- A character that follows the path of the Medical ninja likely understands the fragility of life, and seeks to preserve it. Though not all medi-nin are caring, it is very likely that a shinobi who has begun to follow the path of medical ninjutsu is and does care for others immensely. Intelligence is something which is for the most part required to be a Medical Ninja, and likewise, curiosity into medical practices and surgical procedures is likely. Despite the fact that shinobi that follow the path of the Advanced Medical Ninja are innately caring, their capacity to show is usually diminished, and in the case of some it is usually hidden behind a fear of loss.

Description: You're an ace in your field, and your skill is top of the line in your village. You are the stock choice of medical ninja to be send on A Rank and S Rank missions and for high profile duty. Your skill is so great that you could work as a doctor of physician in a hospital, but your path is that of a ninja.

Effect: May use Jounin Ranked Medical Jutsu.

Requirements: Level 25, Emergency Medical Technician, Path of the Medic

Description: Your are more efficient with your chakra, doing more with smaller amounts than others.

Effect: Chakra-Based Techniques cost 5 less Chakra per ninja rank of the technique. This shares ranks with the skill 'Steadfast Durability'.

[Overcome Your Problems] Sealed Genjutsu | +2 sp

 

Description: Genjutsu is the manipulation of chakra to affect the minds of other beings. Since you can remember, you have been unable to simply make your chakra do these illusions. You can shoot fireballs and break apart the earth just fine, but the finesse at manipulating the mind has always just been out of your reach.

Effect: Cannot use any Genjutsu techniques and may not have any skills (positive or hindering) that give negative effects towards Genjutsu abilities.

Description: Your stamina system just fails to respond sometimes. Like an engine not turning over, once in awhile you just fail to create the energy to do your superhuman feats of strength.

Effect: Before using a Taijutsu technique, roll a d10. On 1or2 Jutsu fails. You may not take another action this turn, but the stamina is not lost. May not have Sealed Taijutsu

Advancement Seal [stamina | Taijutsu | Accuracy] | +3 sp

 

Description: Ever since you were a youngster just learning how to be a ninja, you've been just piss poor at this one area. No matter how hard you work, you just have some inability to learn this effectively. You may be tender about the situation.

Effect: You are considered to have 80% of the base stat points in the chosen stat, rounded up. May only be taken once per stat.

Merciful | +1 sp

 

Description: You bring mercy to your opponents on the battlefield, no matter how terrible they may be. You refuse to bring yourself to their level, and as such will always pull back on that finishing blow. Not to say you won't finish them, but everyone deserves the chance to surrender.

Effect: Whenever you would deal the finishing blow in combat to an opponent, you must let them live with one HP left, only applies once a battle.

Chakra Flow | Rank 2 | -10 sp

 

Description: Maybe you have spent countless hours of meditation and practice have crafted your mind and body into a temple of self discipline. Or maybe you're just naturally good at it. Either way, your chakra circulatory system is of superb quality.

Rank 2: Gain 15% of your Total Chakra every turn. This replaces normal Chakra regeneration. Does not stack with previous ranks.

Requirements: User may not have any other skill (or bloodline skill) that effects Health, Stamina, or Chakra Regeneration. This skill may not be taught.

Description: A standard headband given to all Suna ninja when promoted to Gennin. Junsei purchased a cloth band that has a jutsu formula inscribed on it that helps clear his mind and increase reaction time.

Slim Silver Laurel Circlet

 

Effect: +190 Evasion
Description: A simple silver circlet in the design of silver laurels. The silvery leaves wrap around each side of Junsei's head, but do not connect in the front. The laurels encased in silver were grown by the Hanamajo clan and are medically enhanced to decrease response and reaction time. Beautiful and handy!

Thundermail

 

Description: A simple chainmail shirt used by thousands of shinobi the world over. While the idea has remained the same, the style changes depending on where you are in the world. This particular variant is from the Chuunin Exams when they were hosted by Kumogakure no Sato. Instead of standard rings, this chainmail is actually thousands of tiny lightning bolts linking together. A subtle, but impressive touch.
Effect: +100 Defense

Sunagakure Chuunin Medical Vest

 

An over-vest worn by medical shinobi of Chuunin Rank. It has a high collar rather than extended shoulder. On each side of the collar, there is a small red cross that signifies the wearer as a medic. On the front of the vest are several compartments which allows quick and easy access to necessary medical supplies. The Sunagakure village symbol is stitched into the area just above where the wearer's heart would be when wearing the jacket.

Slim Silver Laurel Anklet

 

Effect: +190 Speed
Description: A matching piece in a set of medically enhanced laurels created by the Hanamajo Clan. This anklet was designed to be worn by either gender, and fits comfortably around the ankle. While being worn, the medical chakra in the laurels enhances the rate which muscles are able to expand and contract, allowing the wearer to move faster and more efficiently.

Attributes: +100 Evasion, Elemental Resistance (Fire).
Description: A single arm guard worn on the left forearm that covers the back of the hand and extend all the way past the elbow (see picture). It is very lightweight and are made of a metal temper secret to the Alchem clan. The metal retains an amount of chakra that has been placed in it and when confronted with a fire attack expels a shield of chakra to block an amount of the damage. The metal itself is a deep black and along the edges of it the arm guards are decorated with a deep green. The Alchem clan emblem is emblazed in a vivid green on the side of the guard.

 

Rs715 Shin Guards

Special: +200 Evasion
Description: A pair of jet black shin guards made of a lightweight material and two light plates of metal. A normal elastic black material stretches around to hold them secure to the leg, even during fast paced movement. The plates were infused with chakra to increase the muscle reaction and stamina of the lower legs in battle conditions. The Rs715 Shin Guards are banned from all professional sporting events.

Body Placement: Feet
Description: A pair of ninja boots with arced pieces of metal on them. They have two bluish orbs on the side which use chakra to propel the user at fast speeds. This is a custom invention of Alchem Syaoran.
Effects: +300 Speed. Traveling posts are cut in half when worn. If worn in battle the user may pay 10 chakra in thier setup phase to give them +100 Speed until thier next setup phase. May train to choose the option to be able to give +100 Evasion instead of the +100 Speed. Can only have one or the other. Unique to Alchem Syaoran.

- Grip of the Mountain King: Ignore the penalty of any 'Rocky Plateau' Terrain.

Syaoran had learned to trust his gut, and as soon as he stepped foot in the village he felt that something was off. Was the Kazekage already here? Had he been detected? He wasn't sure, but there was an alarm going off in the back of his head. He knew that his subconscious mind somethings worked faster than his thoughts, and so when alarms went off he followed them. His fingers found his steel stakes, and with a flick of his wrist he sent them into the corners of the block he was on, spreading them around his vicinity.

As his stakes moved, Syaoran quickly flipped a few seals. He felt his chakra pour out of his body, flooding from his feet and spilling over the arena. As he did, the ground shifted and rose, the earth manipulating to form twenty figures, each of which was unique in appearance though they still had a stone like look. Like statues that had come to life suddenly. Though it may be unknown to someone from outside the village, each one was a figure of Iwagakure past. This was a secret technique handed down between Iwagakure ninja that was meant as a symbol of their heritage and ancestral strength. It brought a small comfort to Syaoran as his eyes scanned the area, that feeling in the back of his head still causing him to hesitate.

Description: A secret Ninjutsu passed down through the most powerful and respected ninja of the Country of Earth. It is a hijutsu that allows the user to create their own specialized army out of the soil itself. This cloning technique differs from most because the clones do not actually resemble the user, and because of such they cannot be confused with them. Each clone is clearly made of stone, a mixture of gray and brown rock, and each one is separate from the others. Each clone takes the form of one of twenty fallen heroes of Iwagakure no Sato, a list of which included historical figures and/or those close to the user. It is said that when this technique was first developed it was made so that those who had already fallen in battle could once again fight alongside their comrades.

Junsei's clones began weaving seals together as movement was spotted not far away. It would likely come down to a battle, and Junsei knew he would be prepared. One of the clones knelt and touched the ground. His chakra flowed into the soil and the entire area began to churn. Plants and flowers that once thrived in the area began to sprout again. This was the power of the Kazekage; to bring life to soil where none can be sustained. As far as the eye could see, wildflowers and grass began to cover the ground, not being created, but forced to grow.

As the field of wildflowers spread beneath the feet of the living in the land of the dead, the remaining two clones both placed their hands upon their creator. The real Junsei suddenly sprouted thick nasty spines across his entire body. If the intruder got too close, their skin would likely be ripped to shred by the sharpened ninjutsu needles. Suna shinobi were hearty, like cacti in the harsh sunlight of the desert. The Hanamajo just personify this a bit more literally than most.

It was easy to tell that both parties knew they were discovered by now. As Junsei's flesh became covered in thick, Ninjutsu spines, he breathed in slowly. The spines retracted themselves to little more than prickly hairs on his body. Only when they were needed would they sprout out with lighting fast speed. The energy he felt flowering from the temporary field of wildflowers gave him a boost of confidence. His steps more sure, he was able to move faster. All that was left now, was to find out who was pursuing him.

 

Without an enemy to attack, Junsei remained on the defensive. Not knowing exactly where his target was. He brought his own hands together to form two quick seals. Sand began to flow up around him. The ground beneath him, the soil, rubbed and broke down stone and mineral from deep under the ground to rise and up cover his body. A second skin enveloped him and shifted in color and shape to reflect exactly his own image back to the world.

The first clone launched a mental assault on two of the opponent's clones trying to remove them from the battle. The second clone did the same to the third opposing clone. The last one locked its eyes on Junsei, this one took the vague appearance of the late fourth Tsuchikage, Kurotsuchi. She made a single seal and wordlessly pointed towards Junsei.

Syaoran's mouth opened a bit in wonder as vegetation grew around him, the death of Kusagakure had persisted for decades without even a single sprout. The amount of ninjutsu needed to force growth in this wasteland was considerable to say the least. Syaoran knew what this meant, and he knew it was not some miracle. There were no miracles, only exchanges. Lifting his shirt collar up he unfolded it, putting it over his mouth and nose to prevent himself from inhaling too much. There was no telling what kind of chemicals were in this air. He could even feel the new earth below him pulling on his chakra. Not much was known about the Kazekage that had taken over the last, but there were rumors of a master of plant jutsu. This had to be them.

Syaoran's clones broke out from the buildings around Junsei, the assault starting in the clearing just before Korin's tree. Syaoran had never met the late Harakage, but his mother had. She had been a 'fine example of a leader' in her own words, high praise from the woman. As the stone army clones flooded into the clearing though Syaoran would stay back. He had to make this strike count, he had no idea what kind of traps or abilities his opponent would have. His presence here, at the epicenter of the world's sin, meant that Syaoran's hunch had been correct. He had to be stopped before he completed whatever it was he wished to obtain. No power that was gained from this disaster would go without a price. Everything has a price.

Syaoran erupted with gold and blue chakra, enveloping as he felt every sense sharpen. His ability to manipulate chakra expanded as his mind did, his vision sharpened and his ability to thing increased in speed. Time seemed to shift downwards, his clones moving a fraction slower as he could see things more clearly than he could before. This form was dangerous, alchemically manipulating one's own brain could have severe consequences, the least of which was addiction. But he needed everything he could get here, he wouldn't underestimate his enemy the Kazekage.

Among the flower, soldiers of stone swarmed Junsei and his clones. Junsei could literally feel the chakra emanating from the fight already. The sheer amount of power it would take to pull of such a tremendous amount of clones was in and of itself a feat. Had this been under different circumstances, Junsei would have been impressed. As one female looking stone solider pointed at him, Junsei felt ropes of chakra attempt to ensnare him. It was a standard tactic, one he had never used himself, but was familiar with. Applying his own chakra, with a slight outward flex, he deflected the body freeze skill. His limbs remained under his control for a few moments longer.

 

Which was fortuitous considering the beam of chakra, burning so intensely it shone white, cleaved through the city that once was Kusa, Junsei was able to bring his hands together in his own series of seals. The blast was more powerful than he anticipated. Bringing his hands together he formed the seals and suddenly a cascade of petals enveloped his entire vicinity, hoping to make it easier to side step the beam of light.

 

As the petals touched the light, they seemed to not be destroyed, but simply stop existing. No ash or dust remained of them, only empty space they had once floated. This was truly a formidable attack, but Junsei couldn't outrun it. All he could do now was throw up his arms, coated in thick, resilient earth nature chakra, he deflected as much of the energy as he could. It pushed him back several meters as his feet dug into the ground. The silver laurel he wore around his ankle disintegrated into nothingness. However Junsei remained. He would not be wiped off the face of reality that easily.

 

His fingers came together once more creating a seal most shinobi had no use for, but was common in the medical arts. His right palm became enveloped in a vivid green energy that pulsed as if it were alive and breathing. He passed the hand over his body and immediately, his wounds began to seal themselves up.

Description: An archaic headband from the time of the 4th Great Shinobi War, when all nations banded together under a single banner to fight off an evil greater than themselves. Somehow, this headband has withstood the test of time. Rather than a village symbol, it simply possesses the kanji for "Shinobi" ( 忍 ).

Staff Ruling: For the remainder of the tournament, the technique Armor of Sand will now be treated as if it had the following effect instead of its current one:


Creates a shield around the user with 400 health points. The user may repair the shield to full health points for 160 chakra in the Setup Phase. Additionally, once per battle if the health of the shield is reduced to 0, the user may immediately pay 160 chakra to repair it to full health. Armor of Sand techniques do not stack with one another. Lasts for four (4) turns. This technique may be used an unlimited number of times per battle.

Syaoran was shocked at what had happened. He had expected either to hit and end the battle right away or for the man to avoid his attack and allow him to setup a follow up. What he had not expected was for the man to catch the beam with his own jutsu and deflect it away from him like a beam of light off a mirror. He had never seen anyone deflect that jutsu like that. Granted, he had only ever used it once before in the past but that was a story that he had never told anyone, and the world was better that way. Regardless, a thousand tiny needles had lifted from the Kazekage, and with an invisible speed they flew at Syaoran, striking him with a hundred tiny pricks. He could feel the tears in his epidermis as he crossed his arms in front of him to protect his main body. As it finished though he would lower his arms and lost eyes with his opponent.

Syaoran shouted as he skid to a stop about a third of the way towards Junsei, well into the opening now. His eyes were fierce, and it appeared that his opening attack was not anywhere near all he had. Finishing a sequence of seals he would raise both of his hands up into the air and slam them down onto the ground. A massive echo rippled through the village, and after a moment that ripple occurred on the ground again.

The earth that had a moment before been covered in wildflowers was not shattered, the ground moving like water as it broke apart in waves and turned back to stone and gravel in an instant. From this massive quake of disaster rose two massive pieces of stone, Syaoran lifting them with his mind as he stood up in the center of the disaster. With a motion of his body as if he were literally heaving them with his own hand he flung them one after another towards Junsei far above Junsei. They accelerated as they flew, picking up speed as they approached. Each one the size of a rail car and threatening to crash into the man and take him flying backwards.

Description: The user of this technique actually rips the very terrain asunder to attack their foes. By focusing on up to two points on the field, the user causes the very rock below to rip and burst upwards, from there rippling outwards like a rock thrown into water. The bedrock is uplifted, changing the field into a rocky and dismantled plateau, much like those found all over the Country of Earth. The opponent, if caught in these central points, will be first blasted with large chunks of rock and dirt and then hit by large slabs of rock as they erupt upwards. This technique has been known to be used in the creation of natural terrain within the Country of Earth.

Effects: +300 Speed. Traveling posts are cut in half when worn. If worn in battle the user may pay 10 chakra in thier setup phase to give them +100 Speed until thier next setup phase. May train to choose the option to be able to give +100 Evasion instead of the +100 Speed. Can only have one or the other. Unique to Alchem Syaoran.

Requirements: After buying these you must make a 2000 word training learning how to use them. This is to get a basic jist of moving around with them. You must also be at least level 20. ***Optional*** May make a 4000 word post to train how to use these boost to give the option of boosting evasion instead of speed. This post requirement drops down by 500 words every level you increase after buying the boots, minimum of 500 words. This shows the practice you get just from using the boots in everyday activities.

Junsei's floral oasis was torn asunder as the very earth itself was rent to attack Junsei. A thick cloud of debris rose from the ground, obscuring the Hanamajo's vision and removing his advantageous terrain. From the other side of the screen of dirt, a chunk of earth ripped through the cloud and slammed into Junsei. The chakra shield created by his medical ninjutsu fractured the rock before shattering into unseen pieces. The rock slammed into Junsei, causing the majority of his sand armor to fall from his body. 

 

Junsei had withstood the attack without damage, but the onslaught wasn't over. A second piece of earth followed the first. It slammed into Junsei with the force of a freight train, sending both Junsei and the rock flying backwards. The Kazekage dug his feet into the ground beneath him to try and slow the rush, but the momentum was too great. Only the structure of a building behind him was enough to stop rock. Pinned between the rock and building, Junsei lowered his hands finally able to release the projectile. 

 

With his natural attunement to earth natured chakra, Junsei was able to bond his chakra to the rock itself taking a reduced amount of damage, thanks in part to the remainder of his sand armor. However, this fight was not over. As the rock crashed into the ground. Junsei jumped to the top of the stone and formed his own seals. He was a warrior of the mind, but a warrior none the less. 

 

He crafted an illusion, that if successful, would ensnare the intruder's mind and trick it into thinking he was entwined in a thick bush of clover. Every moment would be a struggle against not only the illusion but against his own mind. 


Junsei scoffed at the idea of his actions performing some 'miracle'. Miracles carried the connotation of dieties or beings of power bestowing a gift. Junsei held no such beliefs. His people had suffered too long and he worked too hard for his work to be so easily acredited to some false higher power

The genjutsu attack came at Syaoran suddenly and invisibly, battering against his mind quick the sudden onslaught that was only familiar to those who have had their mind violated in this way. His training kicked in, along with a token from a friend from Kumogakure that sat in his ear. The chakra flared in response, his reservoirs that he currently maintained pushing back against the incursion of mental damage that threatened his mind. He recognized the pressure, the way the chakra attempted to pierce his thoughts, and with a mental flourish that only came with years of study and practice, he parried the blow and barely managed to send it away, keeping his mind in tact. His emerald eyes locked with the Kazekage's. The other man's words were clear, and there was nothing more to say between them.

Description: The bauble that has been called Short Circuit by some is nothing more than a single tiny earring which appears not to have been crafted with either gender in mind. The little stud is not terribly ostentatious, and doesn't draw much attention to the eye. This is because it was created to be a discreet defense against genjutsu, and has been used by spies and diplomats for generations to prevent foul play. The earring uses the reserves of energy within the wearer's body and automatically alters the flow of chakra in the wearer's body to disrupt any illusions that might seek to ensnare them.

It is impossible for the user to suffocate, drown, starve, or become dehydrated except in a complete vacuum. Aisuhime creates a ring of influence around the intended target, instantly freezing anything within the area in a pillar of energy. As the ring is created it appears as a snow white circle on the ground. It grows in intensity and brightness and then bursts out as a beam of light. The target is suspended in time, frozen in the moment and leaving themselves completely vulnerable to additional attacks.
Effect: Once per battle as a Setup Phase action the User may have a Main Phase attack this turn gain the following ability: "The opponent is Vulnerable, Disorganized and Stunned for one turn". This is considered a separate strike on the Main Phase attack and may target separately. If the user is Jounin rank or lower this added ability may not break the CP cap of their Main Phase attack. May only be used while equipped.

❅ Solitude of the White Princess
This weapon chooses its wielder, and once it bonds to a master it remains attached to that person until death. Thought it is not sentient, the ancient and mystical laws that govern it have been given a sentient mythology that have lead many to believe the blade to have its own awareness. Any being that comes near it without first being accepted is afflicted by the sword's mysterious powers. Once unsheathed, the battlefield is afflicted with an aura of abnormal frigidness. Those who come in contact with the unsheathed sword will slowly become encased in ice as the blade's mysterious powers encapsulate them.
Effect: Every time the an opponent is hit with a strike from Aisuhime or for every phase a character aside the master of Aisuhime wields it, that character gains 1 Ice Counter. For every Ice Counter a character has, the character's speed is reduced by x. If a character has less than or equal to eight (8) Ice Counters x = 2^z. If the character has greater than eight (8) Ice Counters x = 256 * (z - 7). The value of z is the number of Ice Counters. At the start of their Response Phase if a player has any Ice Counters they lose x/5 counters, rounded up. If a player's speed ever reaches zero (0) and the user has no other opponents, the fight ends as a draw. Otherwise they are immune to all damage and effects and may not take any action until their Speed returns above 0. A character may gain no more than four (4) Ice Counters in a single turn.

History:
Shiroiho: A katana passed down in Alchem Syaoran's branch of the clan, starting with his great-grandfather. It was owned by his father and left with the clan head, Alchem Rouni, before both of Syaoran's parents left the village. It is alchemically forged by Syaoran's Grandfather and is thus very strong steel, best in the world (or so the Alchem clan claims). The sheath and hilt are a pale white, the sheath being made of a very durable wood, probably reinforced by alchemy as well. On one side there is a small alchemy array, so this weapon can only be unsheathed by a member of the clan, or someone who possesses the secrets of the bloodline.
Aisuhime: This katana is a long fabled and lost relic of a northern civilizations of the Eastern Islands. This island, set farther north than any other island in the keys, was at one point held as the cradle to a peaceful civilization. As a symbol of this peace and the power of their rulers, the kings of the small island passed a weapon down from generation to generation. It was regarded as the Ice Princess and was treated and protected by the royal family as if it was a princess of the royal line. The fable of the Ice Princess, which this katana is named after, goes as such…

The Ice Princess is too preoccupied with the raging rush of the glaciers and the skyward leap of mountains storming heaven to notice the minor fluctuations of organic life. Every now and then she senses something green and flickering which she ascribes to prismatic reflections off her frosted lashes. Then it is gone and forgotten. Locked into the rhythms of the void, locked out of the flash of mortal suffering, she sets her sights on the sliding of the continents, the shifting tilt of the earth's axis and the celestial race towards dissolution.”
This katana was lost though as the civilization mysteriously died out. All that is left is the ruins of their once great capitol, which sat as a huge port city within the bay of the island. Researchers suggest that the islands harsh climate shifted, causing many of the people to move from the area because of the bitter coldness. Whatever the reason it is obvious that it was not violent. The city was just empty, no trace of humans anywhere. The katana is thought to be somewhere on that island, though many researchers have tried to find it and failed.
It is rumored that the katana is expertly crafted out of the finest steel in the world. The tint of the blade itself is a light blue color, reflecting the light much like snow does. The hilt is artistically crafted, and the hilt is wrapped in a fine fabric, with a blue steel emblem engraved into the hilt itself. The sheathe is a silver-ish blue and has a ring on the side of it for belt attachment and decoration.

Its own force awakens in response to enemy attacks, the black chakra contained within it tainting that of the user and multiplying his strength for a short time. In those moments it takes a great strength of will to keep the user from giving into the bloodlust of the sword.
Effect: Does additional damage equal to the amount of Health lost from enemy attacks since the previous turn.

 

Ω Death's Curse
The demon blade Hinshi is a king among swords, unfit to even be set upon by lesser weapons. The terrible force of death itself besieges lesser armaments at the incredulity of their presence.
Effect: Declared during an attack that involves Hinshi. Upon a successful hit, the targeted opponent must roll 1d666. If the result is odd, target weapon that opponent controls is inflicted with 'Destroy Weapon'. May only trigger a roll once per battle per opponent.

History:

The cursed blade of Oketsu, heir of the Akatsuki organization and tyrant of Iwagakure no Sato. Hinshi is said to be a blade forged from the very hate in Oketsu's heart, a blade that bears the blackness of its original owner's soul. The sword measures 3 1/2 feet in length and is made of a finely tempered black steel folded over several times. The edge of the blade catches light with its silver edge, flashing in the darkness despite it's main body staying in shadow. The sheath which carries it is a deep and worn black wood, battered over years from outside forces and the bloodlust it is forced to contain. Along the upper edge, near the hilt, are two very faint kanji carved in small white script. They say "Meiki" and "Akasabure Genome" or "Remember Akasabure Genome".

Syaoran again flickered, his speed carrying him at his opponent with such speed that he passed right beyond him with a sword strike so powerful that it threatened in a single slash to cut off the man's ability to fight back or heal all in one strike. He would not relent, and he would not slow. He had to keep this offensive up, just for a bit longer. In that instant Syaoran was already beyond his opponent, sword tucked in a defensive position as he slid beyond and to a safe range.

This is from a special series of techniques created by Alchem Syaoran and was associated with him throughout the Yukigakure Invasion in which multiple Yukigakure ninja fell to it. This technique along with his prowess on the battlefield made him renown as the 'Black Swordsman'.

May train to choose the option to be able to give +100 Evasion instead of the +100 Speed. Can only have one or the other. Unique to Alchem Syaoran.

Requirements: After buying these you must make a 2000 word training learning how to use them. This is to get a basic jist of moving around with them. You must also be at least level 20. ***Optional*** May make a 4000 word post to train how to use these boost to give the option of boosting evasion instead of speed. This post requirement drops down by 500 words every level you increase after buying the boots, minimum of 500 words. This shows the practice you get just from using the boots in everyday activities.

The time for speaking was over. Junsei knew it as did the other. There was a flourish of metal as the intruder drew two swords. In an instant, the blades were coming towards him with a strike that was almost imperceptible. It slashed through him with the force a thousand waves, all crashing down on him in an instant. The strike did more than simply damage him though. He could feel the disruption in his tenketsu that would not allow him to manipulate ninjutsu. His medical techniques, his barriers and shields and most of his supplementary techniques were useless. In his childhood, he had experienced this before, but he had not gained his ability with Genjutsu then. 

 

At least now he had an offense. His fingers and hands slid together to form the illusion. He needed his opponent to remain defenseless until he could begin repairing his wounds. The illusion would take the form of a field of poppies surrounding the intruder, slamming him with a wall of mental energy while simultaneously forcing the enemy's mind to sleep.

He felt the ring on his finger, marking him one of the thirteen members of the Iwagakure Council, but even the knowledge he had gained there could not help him. The power overwhelmed him and his mind slowly faded into a white bliss.

Description: The bauble that has been called Short Circuit by some is nothing more than a single tiny earring which appears not to have been crafted with either gender in mind. The little stud is not terribly ostentatious, and doesn't draw much attention to the eye. This is because it was created to be a discreet defense against genjutsu, and has been used by spies and diplomats for generations to prevent foul play. The earring uses the reserves of energy within the wearer's body and automatically alters the flow of chakra in the wearer's body to disrupt any illusions that might seek to ensnare them.

As the iwagakure shinobi staggered and fell into a forced slumber, the Kazekage did not hesitate. Seals were woven together in a sequence so memorized, it was as if his hands acted on their own. Junsei's chakra spilled form him and aimed to seep into the intruder's mind. His sleeping body would become wrapped and tangled in vines and branches. His mind would be aware, but he would not be able to move his body.

 

As only a dream can, it would shake him, even if only slightly. The feeling of being broken down and digested for nutrients by plants, unable to do so much as scream out in pain. He could only lie there. His sleep would end, whether the illusions succeeded or not, of that Junsei was certain. However, it was imperative to succeed. Junsei had sustained injury that needed tending, but without his ability to manipulate physical chakra, he would remain wounded.

 

Until he could regain access to his medical techniques, Junsei would make it ever harder for the man to succeed. Inducing a fear and restricting vision would buy him time, but it required that this fight be drawn out longer. Something Junsei was not keen to do, but had no choice.

Syaoran's eyes snapped open as the next assault came his way, his ear burning with power as the earring fluxed with his full power and rebuffed the genjutsu attack. Syaoran reeled for a moment, his two swords in his hand as struggled to allow his mind to catch up with what had happened. How had he fallen asleep? Had he really been overcome by a Genjutsu so easily? The Kazekage had gotten a leg up on him, he had to be careful.

Description: The bauble that has been called Short Circuit by some is nothing more than a single tiny earring which appears not to have been crafted with either gender in mind. The little stud is not terribly ostentatious, and doesn't draw much attention to the eye. This is because it was created to be a discreet defense against genjutsu, and has been used by spies and diplomats for generations to prevent foul play. The earring uses the reserves of energy within the wearer's body and automatically alters the flow of chakra in the wearer's body to disrupt any illusions that might seek to ensnare them.

Made some wrong rolls, but either way, Junsei didn't dodge and didn't survive!


Life is a series of events. From the moment a child is born, choices are made which create an ever more complex tapestry of potential. Like the strands of a spider's web, each moment carries an infinite number of possible choices, which lead to infinite more moment where infinite choices away. Infinity upon infinity upon infinity. So how then do we come to moment at the present? A Shinobi standing in the remnants of a destroyed city. His choices brought him to this point, but where and when did those choices set him down his current path?

 

Memories flooded into Junsei's mind. Like a swarm of locusts that flocked to crops, they kept coming. He stood at the academy graduation, proudly beaming at his parents as he was handed his very first, his very own, Hitai-ate. This was a moment that made him proud. He would work hard, strive to become the best shinobi he could be to protect his family and friends, life would be good. His sister handed him a bouquet of flowers, each vibrant petal carrying it's own meaning. 

 

He had been placed on his first team. Kotaro, Katsumi and Yuka. The four of them trained diligently, learning new tactics, working together as a team, struggling to out do one another. It was the day they found Koryu. The day the yokai killed his mentor and his teammate. Yuka and Katsumi's stories ended there, but Kotaro and Junsei's would continue. The two made a vow to hunt the vile beast down and avenge their comrades. 

 

Years passed, Junsei's memories flashed forward in blinding white light that seared his retinas. Kotaro and Junsei discovered Konoha spies releasing yokai in Suna, destroying everything in sight. The two were silent as they destroyed the platoon, only for a puppeteer to reveal her role as a Yokai Jinchurikki. Kotaro weakened her, but ultimately, his story faded into oblivion by her hand, only for hers to be snuffed out by Junsei's. This was the moment Junsei knew that his people would never find allies in the outside world. When the people closest to him were killed by would be allies, for no more reason than experimentation.

 

It was the drought now. A drought in a desert. The Hanamajo farms were barren, unable to sustain any plant life, even with their innate abilities. Suna was starving and the people began to turn on his clan. It was a ritual under the full moon that night. Junsei watched, faced painted the colors of renewal. A dozen of his clansmen, stepped forward. There was crying all around. It was the only way to end the drought, but it meant a sacrifice. The Chuunin Junsei watched as his family slaughtered themselves to wet the sand with their blood. From every drop, wildflowers burst to life in numbers and vibrancy unexpected. The drought had ended, but it was Junsei's clan who held the key.

 

The blinding light scorched his flesh. He could feels each of his cells screaming in agony. This was not pain as he had known it, it was something more, something beyond. In the instant that the technique struck him, his world froze in nothing but unbearable pain and unwanted memories.

 

It was the blood of his kinsmen that could save the country. Junsei's experiments were proving successful, but they were not nearly powerful enough. What he needed was an energy source beyond that of mortals. He needed the chakra of yokai. He sent out team after team to capture and seal yokai with affinities for nature. Water yokai, earth yokai, nature yokai, all of them sealed into stones etched with jutsu formulas and soaked in the blood of a Hanamajo. His tests were working. The plants he created in his test site were not waning. In fact, they thrived long after they should had died. It was a success, but he needed something more powerful if he was going to revive Suna as a country. He needed the only known person who had gone through such trauma herself. The Harakage, a tree, and the final piece of his puzzle.

 

The molecules that made up his body boiled out of existence. Already he could feel less and less of himself. His body felt light, but burdened. As if the unfinished was dragging him down while the beam of energy shot at him erased him from existence. Not even the thick, resilient earth nature chakra he coated himself in was enough to deflect or absorb the blast. He was too weak to save himself, let alone his people. All his work would vanish, forgotten as his entire identity was erased from this timeline. Of course, he didn't know any of this. It was happening, but all he knew at the moment was pain and anger.

 

As the light began to fade, only the blink of an eye had passed. No longer stood the Kazekage atop the mound of earth hurled at him through the destroyed city. Remnants of the wildflowers he had created no where to be seen, as if he had never created them at all. The clones that were molded with his chakra, never created in the first place, gone from the face of reality. The stones that circled the Harakage tree, non-existent. All that remained was a man, a god, who could erase reality. It was a miracle that Junsei managed to survive for as long as he did against such strength and power. And as Junsei had already said, miracles were for the weak.
