The Jinseiki Organization

Recommended Posts

((The Jinseiki Organization is primarily formed of largely Village-Sympathizing shinobi who take on the roll of "Freedom Fighters" (Or Terrorists in Kumo's perception). By taking that one step to actually 'do something' about the situation, instead of just talking about it, they are viewed as Heroes to the Resistance. These are heroes, not villains, in this respect))

The Jinseiki Organization

Organization Headquarters: Outside of every village, there is an area that all Organization members may meet up in. Usually in difficult to reach locations, and hidden at that, they are nearly impossible to find, unless he who searches for it already knows the location. Furthermore, there are three talismans upon the entrance that prevent anyone without the proper corresponding ring from entering. This ring reacts with the Chakra of the Talisman, and allows for entrance. If someone lacks this type of ring, they will be confronted with an invisible doorway that cannot be shattered. Typical headquarters is Otogakure, Hidden Village of Sound within the Rice Country. However, Alchem Sanji has provided a large, floating Island for this purpose, so any Headquarters grounded has yet to be fully proven. It is so far only in development, due to the current low income of the members. The flying fortress seems to be a much more practical means of living and movement, however, and they seem rather pleased with use of it.

Organization Starter: Uchiha Asher

Organization Head: Uchiha Asher

Organization Age and Status: The Jinseiki Organization has recently been birthed due to the defect of Uchiha Asher from the rule of Kumo. Believing the level of oppression to counteract the freedom that they claim the Hidden Villages benefit from, he has slowly been gathering a personal army that he finds suitable to do direct combat through assassination, espionage, and sabotage upon the Country of the Fang. Believing himself to be upholding the ideals of the citizens, they have slowly been drawing attention from the Resistance, both held in good light, or otherwise. Opinions vary dependant upon whether one sides with the Empire or with the Resistance, but more often than not, it is unheard of, and regarded in skepticism. It has yet to acclaim true fame due to its lack of public display of force and combat against Kumo, and for its having been formed only in the past year. However, it is slowly growing as more and more hand-picked Organization members outfit this Organization with greater levels of differing skill, and it certainly seems to boast potential to truly accomplish the goals that it sets. Simply, this is a gathering of the shinobi who dare to 'do something about it' and to take the appellation of 'Freedom Fighter or Terrorist' on with pride

Organization Emblem:

TreeofSeph.gif

The Emblem of this Organization is the Tree of Sephiroth, although on a much smaller scale. It forms only the basic structure, and does not have the exact detail placed upon any visible portion of this tree.

Organization Info: Jinseiki is literally translated into "Tree of Life”, and seems to directly relate to the ideals of the Tree of Sephiroth, which seeks to maintain a sense of balance and achievement of Nirvana (Perfection and extinguishing of sin). It is simply a means of following the paths a human must take to achieve this appellation, and seeks to inspire others to do the same. It is also believed to consist of the ten attributes that a god may project through mankind, with the exception of Daath (Abyss). Uchiha Asher has long spent his life delving into books of historical, informative, or religious title, and has found keen interest in the path to Nirvana. Immense study led him to believe that through doing the works of the ideal instinct that comes from the soul, that he may lead himself and others to rest in the afterlife. He assumes that by doing that which he believes to be right is the only truth in this world, and that all others who deny his wisdom is set to suffer a fate worse than death, when they step into the afterlife ignorant and cursed to live an eternal existence without Nirvana. Although only a portion of him seems to attach his soul to such a belief, he claims it superstition when inquired, and always refers to this as merely being a relative tie between that which is certain, and that which must be done. Forming this unique grouping of ten others, he completes the Sephirot that are found within the Tree of Sephiroth, including Daath, where most would choose to disregard it. Claiming that even the Abyss is a part of life, he embraces it and chooses to uphold the balance of the universe with this Organization. The ultimate agenda of this Organization is to conduct stealthy warfare against the Country of Fang, or the Empire of Kumo, in hopes to liberate the Hidden Villages, which he believes are being oppressed and slowly strangled to death, as they have their metaphorical wings clipped. Uchiha Asher, the leader of the Jinseiki, seems to manage the Organization under a Dictatorship style of politics, although rarely seems to be questioned. He appears to be fair and generous to the other members, and this could be related to both his incredible newfound power and talent, or to his general compassion and lack of tyrannical mentality. Nearly discernible as a Democracy, he seems to prefer group opinion over his sole belief, and seems to adjust plans or attack according to reactions of these members. Although some requirements must be met, such as the Oath to the Jinseiki and to Uchiha Asher, and the Mark of the Vassal must be placed upon each member, Asher tells them that this is out of insurance, such that they may always remember that he is the Crown, despite his laid-back and member-friendly outlook. It is well outfitted and managed, but seems to depend upon varying skill to accomplish the goals that are at hand. The members only seem to garb the typical garments that represent this Organization when they are making a public display of action. Otherwise, this rebel faction seems to lay low, and avoid spreading rumor of their involvement in a Hidden Village. Overall, it is more of a secret society, due to their disgusting outnumbering by the Empire, and they seek to deliver powerful under-handed and secretive plots to slowly cripple this Country of Fang…

Note-The Mark of the Vassal is not so much a means of control as it is a means of prevention. Although Asher understands his natural rule over the members, he seeks to define it through forcing them to prove their respect and loyalty through the acceptance of a Cursed Seal. If they fail to successfully receive this Cursed Seal, he believes this proves them unworthy. The Mark of the Vassal itself is 'insurance' as he likes to call it, not a means of leverage. He has quite the variety of knowledge and knows that a true ruler must make sure to carefully pick his followers. This is a test that Asher uses; after bearing this mark for some time, Asher will remove it, when he believes the member to have undying loyalty to himself and the Organization. Otherwise, it is not a permanent mark

Leaving the Organization-

((It is possible to voluntarily dismiss yourself from the Jinseiki, but only under discretion of Uchiha Asher, and under the following terms. Although Uchiha Asher is known to have harsh tendencies and a deviant personality, he understands the human psyche, and allows for withdrawl so long as they follow the rules of doing so. Hardly stiff in this regards, he is generous for not punishing doubt with death))

-Character must return the Ring of Yata no Kagami, the Matagama, and all other Organization Gear

-Character must swear to never betray, threaten, or otherwise stand in the way of the Organization or its members

-Character must be willing to subject to the removal of anything else specified at that time

-Character's Curse Seal will be Blocked

-If the Character refuses or breaks any of the above guidelines, Asher will personally hunt the person down, and kill them

The Sephirot are also represented by a "tree" that is described as having ten Sephirot and 22 "paths", which co-relate with the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Each one of these sephirot and paths is given special attributes that reflect its particular quality. Commonly a constellation, planet, name of God and/or an element

Pillar of Mildness

Kether Elyon (Kabbalah) (Crown; כתר)

Chokhmah (Wisdom; חכמה)

Binah (Kabbalah) (Intelligence; בינה)

Pillar of Mercy

Chesed or Gedulah (Love or Mercy); חסד)

Din or Gevurah (Power or Judgement); גבורה)

Tifereth or Rakhamim (Compassion); תפארת)

Pillar of Severity

Netzach (Lasting Endurance); נצח)

Hod (Majesty); הוד)

Yesod (Basis or Foundation); יסוד)

Pillar of Abyss

Malkuth or Shekinah (Kingdom); מלכות)

Daath ("Knowledge," "Order," or "Law"; דעת)

((Traditionally, Daath (Da'at) is not a Sephira itself. It is the absence of a sephira. It is alternately called "the Abyss”, and is metaphorically interpreted as the dead child of Chochmah and Binah in the system explained by mediaeval kabbalist (mekubal in Hebrew) Issac Luria, also known as the Ari. However, in this particular tree, Malkuth (Kingdom) Is included in this Pillar of Abyss, a serious alteration to the typical Tree of Sephiroth. It is said that the members of this Organization have added it in attempt to better ‘balance' the paths of the righteous, and to explain the consequences if virtue is ignored))

--------------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~------------------------------------

The Sephiroth are organized into 3 different columns or gimel kavim ("three lines" in Hebrew):

Central column: (The Pillar of Mildness) Branch of Sound and Wind/Sand

-Kether heads the central column of the tree, which is known metaphorically speaking as the "Pillar of Mildness" and is associated with Hebrew letter Aleph, "the breath", and the air element. It is a neutral one, a balance between the two opposing forces of male and female tendencies. Some teachings describe the sephirot on the centre pillar as gender-neutral, while others say that the sephirot vary in their sexual attributions

Right column, in Hebrew kav yamin: (The Pillar of Mercy) Branch of Fire and Earth/Grass

-Chokhmah heads the right column of the tree, metaphorically speaking the "Pillar of Mercy", associated with the Hebrew letter Shin, the fire element, and the male aspect

Left column, in Hebrew kav smol: (The Pillar of Severity) Branch of Water and Lightning

-The left column is headed by Binah and is called the "Pillar of Severity." It is associated with Hebrew letter Mem, (literally meaning "water"), the water element and the female aspect

----While the pillars are each given a sexual attribution, this does not mean that every sephirah on a given pillar has the same sexual atribution as the pillar on which they sit. In Jewish Kabbalah, of all the sephirot only Binah and Malkuth are considered female, while all the other sephirot are male. Additionally (and this applies to both Jewish and Hermetic Kabbalah), each sephirah is seen as male in relation to the following sephirah in succession on the tree, and female in relation to the foregoing sephirah

--------------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~------------------------------------

Every member of the organization has a set of noticeable features, that set them apart from other shinobi. The list is as follows:

-Magatama—

The appearance of a Magatama is similar to a three-dimensional comma, cored through by a hole in the center. The Magatama's shape of a sphere with a flowing tail is still the usual visual representation of the human spirit (hitodama). Wearing one during life is considered a way of gaining protections from kami (gods). One of the Four Symbols is engraved onto the Magatama of each member of this Organization. This Magatama may be worn on any part of the member of the Organization, but is typically seen as an earring or necklace. The most important Magatama is the Yasakani no Magatama, The Yasakani no Magatama stands for benevolence, and is one of the three items used in the ceremony of imperial ascension. In Japanese mythology, the jewels, along with the mirror, were hung on the tree outside of Amaterasu's cave (where she had hidden) to lure her out. It is said that from the Yasakani no Magatama was shattered into eleven pieces when the mirror successfully drew Amaterasu from her hiding place, and that now every member possesses a shard.

((The Four Symbols are four mythological creatures in the Chinese constellations. They are the Azure Dragon of the East, the Vermilion Bird of the South, the White Tiger of the West, and the Black Tortoise of the North. Each one of them represent a direction and a season of the year, and each has its own individual characteristics and origins))

(Pillar of Mildness)- Marked with the Kanji for the "Azure Dragon”

---The Azure Dragon is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. It is sometimes called the Azure Dragon of the East, and it represents the east and the spring season

(Pillar of Mercy)- Marked with the Kanji for the "Vermillion Bird”

---The Vermilion is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. It is sometimes called the Vermilion Bird of the South, and it represents the south and the summer season

(Pillar of Severity)-Marked with the Kanji for the "White Tiger”

---The White Tiger is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. It is sometimes called the White Tiger of the West, and it represents the west and the autumn season

(Pillar of Abyss)-Marked with the Kanji for the "Black Tortoise”

---The Black Tortoise is one of the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations. It is sometimes called the Black Warrior of the North, and it represents the north and the winter season

-Ring of Yata no Kagami—

The Yata no Kagami was in Japanese myth a mirror that was hung outside a tree to lure out Amaterasu (God of the Sun) from a cave. Every member wears a ring on a different finger, with a piece of this shattered mirror, broken into eleven pieces [Asher's is in the form of a necklace]. Typically, it is said that royalty had first used this mirror to look into other rooms of the palace, but had greater potential. Through merely looking into the bronze-mirror molding of the ring, any member of this Organization may contact another, through sending a short burst of Chakra into the ring. Every member has the Kanji for their "Seating” at the Tree of Sephiroth implanted into this mirror, for allowing distinction between members

-Mark of Divinity—

The Mark of Divinity is a simple tattoo that is sealed into the forehead of each member, representing the Kanji for their "Seat” at the Tree of Sephiroth. These tattoos are inked into the skin with a dye according to the "Pillar” that they reign within. Although no powers come from these tattoos, they may fade or rise from the skin upon command. A gentle flow of Chakra directed to this mark may be used to coax it from hiding, or hide it.

-Manicures—

Dependant upon the Pillar that each member Reigns within depends upon the coloring of his or her fingernails and toenails. They come manicured, and are quite distinct due to their level of visibility

-Cloaks—

Each member wears a black cloak that bears the Tree of Sephiroth upon the back of it, and marks their "Seating” with a specific color in accordance to the Pillar that they Reign in, upon the location of this "Seat”. The inside of the cloak is blue in color. The cloak is knee length and has a high collar. Underneath the cloak the ninja is seen to wear the more traditional clothing of their home village

Organization Specific Techniques: ((TBA))

Sainen no Tenrai Megami-juuichi (Revival of the Eleventh Goddess Divine)

Type: Fuuinjutsu (Sealing Jutsu; Forbidden)

Rank: Jounin

Cost: N/A (Role-played Revival Ceremony)

Damage: N/A

Effect: If all remaining members of the Jinseiki Organization gather, they may each make ten separate 100 word posts involving the summoning of the Divine Spirit into a deceased member. There is no body required, but there must always be at least five members to complete this ceremony. Time of revival is equivalent to the number of members performing the ritual –10 (IE: If all remaining members perform this summoning, the character may be revived and used the next day, with no penalty to TXP. Their items, aside from the Initiation ones they receive, may still be plundered). That is how many days In Real Time that character must wait before they may arrive to existence again. Another ceremony must be performed per revival.

Description: Through an old ritual, if a fragment of a deceased Jinseiki's soul remains within this plane of existence, the ceremonial gathering of all remaining Jinseiki may give rise to the defeating of the gods of Death. Through intense concentration and hand seals over a period of time equivalent to the remaining members performing this ceremony, it is possible to re-attach the soul to this plane of existence and essentially call the fallen back to life. The members will first summon the enormous "queen of life" statue. Beautiful and sculpted from marble and precious stones, it stands imposing and fills the room with a chilling, otherworldly cold. This statue has its mouth closed and eyes open or shut, dependant upon the status of the Jinseiki Organization. It has eleven eyes total, and for each remaining ‘living' Jinseiki member, these eyes remain open, and colored in accordance to the "Seat” they take in the Tree of Sephiroth. Once they begin the technique, the mouth will begin to open and emit eleven ghostly kami. These goddesses will roam the world in search for the fragments of the spirit of the fallen, and seek to restore life to them. During this period the members will release the same exact amount of power as that of the deceased, this synchronization will thus allow its retraction to the living world. As the extraction continues, the statues eyes will open to reveal the current status of existing Jinseiki. One of Jounin skill must be present, to control the statue, and the false Kami. They are regarded as ‘false' because they do the bid of humans, which is highly unlike that which the gods are attributed. If they are not properly controlled, the ritual will fail

Points: 5 [Mandatory]

--------------------------------------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~------------------------------------

Organization Skills:

Please note that these skills are trained for. The Yata no Kagami allows for a boost in various aspects of a person based on which 'seat' they hold, and with these blessings may accomplish great things. A series of ten 100 word posts must be written by each member in regards to 'training' the specific 'emotion' or 'talent' that they are blessed with, personally. If this is not accomplished, these skills are not received.

The Magatama and Yata no Kagami are objects that Asher has found through dowsing in his Nirvana. Nirvana is the state of mind that Asher holds access to, allowing escapism and mental freedom. Although this 'world' that he exists in during this trance differs in the sense that physical laws may be broken, the geography and natural laws apply outside of his trance, meaning that he cannot do the impossible. Hidden or invisible objects to the world stand out through dowsing, the art of concentration and seance, as they are no longer hidden by 'typical' geography and objects. This is how Asher stumbles upon the Yata no Kagami. This mirror, upon being released from its prison, provides Asher with the Matagama Necklace, before shattering into eleven pieces. Finding eleven matagama upon the necklace, he snaps them off, and finds the means of forming the Organization. When Asher hits Jounin Rank, I will be writing a rather lengthy and more in-depth scenario of these occurrences

The Ring of Yata no Kagami---

The Ring of Yata no Kagami

Placement: Finger/Hand (Due to its nature, it may be placed upon an existing armor)

Type: Armor

Effect:

Indestructible

Ability to Train for the Skill Their Seat Provides

Description: The Yata no Kagami was in Japanese myth a mirror that was hung outside a tree to lure out Amaterasu (God of the Sun) from a cave.

Cost: Free (Gift upon acceptance)

Restrictions: Must be an Organization member

1. Personal Invitation from Uchiha Asher

2. Expertise in one area or another in the combatative sense

3. Proficiency in combat

4. Hidden Village Sympathy

7. Chuunin Rank and Up

What happened to #5 and #6, taking the Cursed Seal or taking up that Oath?

As far as Cursed Seals, although it is Kinjutsu, only Kage/Sennin rank characters may learn (and give) Cursed Seals to others [discussed in Admin section] as the only character in the Naruto series who gave cursed seals was a Sennin himself. :P

Yeah, I know. I'm going to remove that as a requirement; I'm thinking of just making it a potential 'perk' later on

Yay! I'm first on the list! *have not noticed that the list is in alphabetical order*

Well, my first question is, have those skills, items and jutsus been approved in another section, or are they supposed to be approved here? I know other organizations had their things approved in other areas.

Well, my first question is, have those skills, items and jutsus been approved in another section, or are they supposed to be approved here? I know other organizations had their things approved in other areas.

I should probably move them to the appropriate sectors, but since the items follow the rules legit (lucky for me), there is only one technique (that has no effect on other players...sort of), and a few skills which could be reasonably debated in the appropriate thread (Ugh) I'd prefer to have it all done here, such that I don't have to keep tracking them down. Besides, at least here I can be sure to notice if any comments are made, unlike if they get avoided and abandoned forever in the sea of darkness that is the skills thread...

So, up to you modmins; if you want, I'll move it all into the other threads. If it's easier to do it here in one sitting, so be it. Just lemme know.

*pokes cautiously with a stick*

Not dead yet?

*cringe*

Curses.

Well, this is likely to be the most well thought out organization as of yet, and really there isn't anything wrong with it that I can see. So, this may come back to bite me in the arse sometime in the near future, but...

COMPLETELY OBLITERATED BEYOND ALL RECOGNITION..!

Err, I mean,

APPROVED.

Forced to comment on this because firstly its my 'job', and secondly I don't know how anyone affiliated or not could not see clear problems with these skills in cost alone- even as being in the Organization is a bonus; they're still way too underpriced.

First; regarding all free equipment:

Access to 'Organization EQ'

-Organization EQ may or may not have a cost, but if it is meant to be 'free' then it shall not grant more than 120 stats total (this includes ALL EQ together). So if someone wants a cloak that gives +40 Evasion, then there are '80 stats' left to distribute. Note that if the organization has no base or home Village, then the EQ shall have a cost (paid by the leader, who hands it out to the members).

And now some skills:

Merciful Benevolence of Fukurokuju

Type: Organization [Jinseiki]

Description: Fukurokuju is the fifth of the Lucky Seven Gods. He is the god of happiness, wealth, and longevity. It is said that with his touch of all things mirthful and the goodwill and cheer he carries, good luck and passion come to those who are so lucky to be blessed. Those said to be blessed with Love or Mercy tend to boast extreme compassion, despite any rough edges they have. Defeating the natural darkness within, these people cherish all things within life, and find benefit from doing so. For these people, the world bows to their passionate love of life

Effect: Character may access medical jutsu without the medic/doctor skills. Character applies 100% ninjutsu mod to healing or medical jutsu.

Cost: -2

- Initiate Medic + Intermediate Medic + Docter = -6

- 10 Ranks of Adept Medic = -10

- And we're saying here -2; with no drawbacks and as an Organization skill let's say -7.

Strife of Bishamonten

It is said that with his touch of all things warfare and combat he carries, good luck and strength come to those who are so lucky to be blessed. Those said to be blessed with Power or Judgement tend to boast extreme physical prowess, and battlemind. Defeating the natural fear within the human heart, these people dominate all things involving combat, and thirst for victory

Effect: Character adds their Speed Modifier to their first basic attack every turn using basic attacks and ignore the natural weakness that comes from physical combat (Apply full Taijutsu mods to basic attacks)

Cost: -2

- For changing the system rules albeit only to basic attacks; -4.

Fortitude of Bishamonten

Type: Organization [Jinseiki]

Description: Bishamonten is the third of the Lucky Seven Gods. He is the god of warriors and of power. It is said that with his touch of all things warfare and combat he carries, good luck and endurance come to those who are so lucky to be blessed. Those said to be blessed with Endurance tend to boast extreme physical duration, and defenses. Defeating the natural weakness within the human body, these people dominate all things involving intake of damage or attack

Effect: Character gains the "Third Wind" Ability, which allows for another revival after the Second Wind effect is used. Character takes 75% Taijutsu damage, and 80% Ninjutsu damage [After Second Wind]

Cost: -2

- -4.

Fortune of Daikokuten

Type: Organization [Jinseiki]

Description: Daikokuten is the second of the Lucky Seven Gods. He is the god of wealth, commerce, and trade. It is said that with his touch of all things mercantile and persuasive he carries, good luck and cunning come to those who are so lucky to be blessed. Those said to be blessed with Fortune tend to boast extreme physical duration, and defenses. Defeating the natural weakness within the human body, these people dominate all things involving wordplay and diplomacy or illusion

Effect: When this Character gains experience, they also gain an amount of money equal to that experience earned [Missions only]. Character may take two ranks of "Genjutsu Shaper" without a cost

Cost: -2

- Genjutsu Shaper; For every rank in this skill your genjutsu will last a post longer; -2 per rank.

- This allows to take 2 ranks at a time for free each time.

- "Character may take two ranks of "Genjutsu Shaper" for -2 skill points" - approved.

- For free; denied.

Steadfast Nature of Hotei

Type: Organization [Jinseiki]

Description: Hotei is the sixth of the Lucky Seven Gods. He is the fat god of happiness, abundance, and good health. It is said that with his touch of all things natural and successful he carries, good luck and survival come to those who are so lucky to be blessed. Those said to be blessed with unmovable physiology tend to boast extreme physical duration, and defenses. Defeating the varying weakness of the human body, these people dominate all things involving alteration of the normal

Effect: This character only suffers half of the duration of negative status afflictions (not stat drain.) When this Character gains experience, they also gain an amount of money equal to that experience earned [Missions Only]

Cost: -2

- Half duraction of effects from 'anything' so to speak; -6.

Craft and Guile of Ebisu

Type: Organization [Jinseiki]

Description: Ebisu is the first of the Lucky Seven Gods. He is the god of fish and fisherman and merchants. However, he is also the crafty man who became a deity. It is said that with his touch of all things cunning and grasped with control he carries, good luck and natural slyness come to those who are so lucky to be blessed. Those said to be blessed with inhuman psychological understanding and mental domination tend to boast extreme natural grasping of all things, as well as the ability to persuade others into teaching them

Effect: Character may purchase two ranks of The Twisted Elements for the cost of the higher rank; character gains +1 TXP per line from missions and training; character may re-roll their specialty (before training for it) once, every time they roll for a specialty. Character must take the second roll

Cost: -2

- +1TXP statement denied.

edit; lest I forget:

Only Jounin Rank shinobi may take Kinjutsu; however, for the most part, they will only be available to the Sennin Rank, or level 100 [This includes Juuin Jutsu (Curse Seals), Fuuinjutsu (Sealing Jutsu), and some Ninjutsu/Genjutsu/Taijutsu, and the occasional Hijutsu. All of these techniques contain a rank assigned to them and you must be that rank to learn them. You cannot purchase any of these for 2x JP cost at a lower rank. NO CHUUNIN OR GENIN RANK OF ANY OF THESE TECHNIQUES ALLOWED NO MATTER WHAT.

- Although mandatory unless they're are Jounin; and perhaps around level 75- they won't be able to take it.

- No Fuuinjutsu that ressurects is going to cost 5 JP- we're looking at 12 JP minimum.
