Peregine Posted July 4, 2016 Share Posted July 4, 2016 Unfortunately, at genin rank response phase jutsu cannot negate attacks. As for the second, costs are way off I'm afraid. 40 damage = 32CP 2 Turns Scared = 20CP 2 Turns Enraged = 20 or 30 CP depending on whether it's self-inflicted or not. Genin Weapon Jutsu = 20CP This puts the total cost at 92CP if enraged is self-inflicted, 102 otherwise. Both are above the genin cap, so you'll need to trim this one down. Negation RPJ rules on the Main Site are like so: - Genin ranked Response Phase jutsu may not negate attacks. - Chuunin ranked Response Phase jutsu may only negate specific attack types (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Weapon Attacks, Basic attacks). - Jounin ranked Response Phase jutsu may only negate specific damage types (Physical -or- Nonphysical) So at Chuunin rank, you'll have to be a little more specific what it is you're negating. Also, it'd probably be easier to just keep the one technique and multiply the JP for each different kind of attack you want to negate. For Nin, Tai, Gen and Weapon, JP x4. Peregine Posted July 7, 2016 Share Posted July 7, 2016 Yeah. Like when you make a Barrier that can be used in the Main or Response phase. Two different effects, but it's easier than making two different jutsu so you just make one with double JP. Since you want to do 4 things, that'd be four times the total JP. Effect line would look something like: Effect: Negates incoming Taijutsu or Ninjutsu or Genjutsu or Weapon Attack. Usable twice per battle. Points: 3 I'm not keen on using a taijutsu to negate genjutsu, so I'm going to have to say a no to this one. Genjutsu isn't a physical attack so using a sword to block chakra affecting your mind is kind of odd. Peregine Posted August 9, 2016 Share Posted August 9, 2016 I'm ok with this, though it may be the case that we need to walk about weapon response jutsus in staff because at this point, none of these techniques include cost for weapon jutsu and if they did, it would really screw with the ratios. Mechanically, since these can negate any Chuunin technique they'll have to cost the max for chuunin rank techniques (5JP, 8JP for the Jonin one).
