~Persona~

Personality:
Positive Traits: Smart, Disciplined, Kind
Neutral Traits: Cold
Negative Traits: Obsessive (Numbers), Blunt, Lonely

Ikko is known by his foster-father and peers as someone who is both intelligent and curious. He can be seen often walking around the village with his head in a book. Ikko values knowledge and education above all else. Ikko is dedicated to learning and growing because he believes that in order to become the best ninja he can, he needs to keep learning and honing his skills. However, focusing on education and knowledge has caused him to become obsessed with numbers, specifically numbers rounded to the nearest tenth. Ikko is also known to be incredibly kind and loyal. Ikko’s foster-father taught him to be kind to everyone, no matter how rude they are to him.

Along with being known as smart, disciplined and kind, Ikko is also known to exhibit a tough emotional exterior. Since Ikko was often made fun of growing up due to his numerical obsession and keeping his head in books, he learned that the less he reacted to the teasing, he less he was teased. By choosing to exhibit a tough exterior, Ikko often comes across as cold or emotionless to others. His presentation often continues the cycle of bullying, which leads to him feeling increasingly lonely.

Since he was often teased by others, Ikko never had any friends. A lack of friends slowed his social process, and he never learned how to communicate effectively with others. So rather than learning how to be sensitive to others feelings, he is blunt when speaking with others and often says whatever was on his mind.

~History~

Chapter 1: Abandoned at Birth:

It was a dark and rainy night in Konoha. Two mysterious individuals were running through the village with a basket in hand and headed towards the Hokage estate. As they ran through the village, they avoided any villagers they might find and decided to take side streets and alleys whenever possible. Shortly after midnight, they arrived at the Hokage’s estate. They set the basket they were carrying with their child in down, and buzzed the Hokage. The Hokage was surprised to find no one there when he answered the door. Right as the Hokage was going to close the door, he heard a child’s cry. He looked down and found a basket with a little boy in it. Since no one was around, he took the child in fo the evening. The next morning, the Hokage took the child to the hospital in hopes of finding out who left this child on his doorstep. Unfortunately no one at the hospital recognized the infant.

The Hokage was surprised that no one recognized the infant, At this point he wasn’t quite sure what to do. So, he began to walk towards the hospital entrance. Just as he was walking out of the hospital with the infant, a man asked the Hokage why he carrying around child. The Hokage explained the situation, and the man told the Hokage he and his wife always dreamed of raising a child, but before they could, his wife died. The Hokage decided to make the arrangements for the man, and he took in the infant home as his foster-child.

Chapter 2: The Mind’s Eye

Once Ebisu received the child, he gave the child a name. Ebisu raised Ikko to focus on his studies. As Ikko grew, he fell in love with learning and reading. So much so that once Ikko learned to read, he was rarely seen without a book in his hand. Ebisu highly encouraged Ikko to read to his heart’s desire. Ikko began to train brain to think critically and use his imagination to imagine various objects and people from books based on their descriptions. While asking Ikko about a book he was reading one day, Ebisu noticed that Ikko had a natural ability to imagine anything he put his mind to. In that moment, Ebisu became a proud foster-parent because his foster-child might be able to follow in his footsteps as a Genjutsu user. So, Ebisu began to train Ikko on the basic of Genjutsu. While training, Ikko appeared to excel in Genjutsu, and Ebisu would tell Ikko that his skills were already that of an adept.

Ikko continued to read and train as much as he could. However, in 2109, Konoha was attacked by Kumogakure no Sato. When the attack occurred, Ikko was at the library searching for a new book to read. Ikko began feeling immense fear, and ran towards his home as quickly as he could. When he was near his home, he saw his foster-father, Ebisu, trying to fend off an invading ninja. Ikko yelled towards the ninja in attempt to distract him. However, the ninja ignored the boy yelling and proceeded to knock Ebisu unconscious. After knocking Ebisu unconscious, the ninja turned towards Ikko. Ikko began to focus as hard as he could, and aimed a Genjutsu towards the ninja, only the Genjutsu failed. After the failed Genjutsu, Ikko knew he had to try again. Again, Ikko proceeded to fail, resulting in a consecutive failure. After the consecutive failures, the ninja figured Ikko was not worth his time, so he fled, leaving Ikko to run towards Ebisu. After the attacks had subsided, and Ebisu had recovered, Ikko promised he would never consecutively fail at anything ever again, so he increased the hours he trained and read.

Chapter 3: The Academy

One year after the attack, Ebisu registered Ikko for the academy so he could learn to hone his skills in Genjutsu, as well as increase his skills in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. While at the academy, Ikko struggled with Taijutsu, often failing his lessons or only achieving scores in mid-ranges. This discouraged Ikko because he did not like failing, nor did he like receiving scores that were not rounded to the nearest tenth. As time progressed, Ikko became obsessed receiving score rounded to the nearest tenth.

As Ikko focused more on numbers and Genjutsu, the other kids began to think he was weird. Groups of children within Ikko’s class would make fun of him. Ikko would let Ebisu know other children were making fun of him. Ebisu would just tell him to not show the other kids his hurt feelings and they would stop. Ikko then adopted a seriousness about him, letting few if any of his emotions show. It was this time that began to appear as cold. However, kids continued to make fun of him, and he began to feel increasing lonely. Rather than expressing his feelings, he held them in, leaving him feeling lonely. Instead of letting his loneliness get the better of him, Ikko continued to read and train his Genjutsu in hopes of becoming known for his skills. Ikko believed that if he was known for his Genjutsu skills, others would look up to him and want to be his friend.

Lonely

Spoiler

Description: Some people can go through life relying only on their own strength of will, facing off against the world by themselves. Others, like those with this skill, are eternally desperate for companionship and find the idea of operating on their own as demoralizing as they do terrifying. They feel a constant, codependent need for a companion, or something like it that they can see, feel, and touch in order to cope with everyday life, finding even antagonistic company preferable to isolation. While these individuals often have a solid grasp of teamwork, they are often woefully unprepared for situations in which they must act by themselves for an extended period of time.
Effect: Characters with this skill reduce Experience gained when training alone by 50%. Characters with this skill may not take missions alone.
Cost: +3

Self-Defense

Spoiler

Description: You have a soft heart, one that does not like violence. You may have chosen the wrong career path.
Effect: User does not get a turn in battle until an opponent has a turn. If all characters have this skill, ignore the effects.
Cost: +2

Numerical Compulsions

Spoiler

Description: 102? Why!? Round that down to a clean 100. Yes, that is better. And if you divide this clean value by 3 you get, 83.33?! Oh my lord no! Yes, round that down to 80 instead, yes. Much much much better. I can't believe this office gets by with these types of numbers? I'm glad I landed this job as an accountant, so much to clean up!
Effect: Anytime this character would receive EXP they must round the EXP down to the nearest 100.
Cost: +1

Anxiety Disorder; [Excessive Failure]

Spoiler

Description: Some people respond to certain objects or stimulation with fear and dread. Whether this stems from an event in their past or is an inexplicable symptom of their mind is different for everyone, but the responses are all very real. When the person's trigger appears they find themselves unable to face those around them as their chest seizes up and they find it hard to breath. Only a moment of self control and luck can bring them back to their normal calm self.
Effect: Whenever the chosen [Excessive Failure; Failing to hit with two attacks in a row.] appears for the first time in battle a player becomes 'Afraid; 4' of all opponent's on the battlefield until their anxiety is controlled. This ignores the max duration for 'Afraid'. As a Setup Phase action the user may roll 1d100 and if they roll a number with a 7 or a 3 in the result their anxiety is controlled. Individual ranks of this skill must be overcome individually even if triggered at the same time.

The molding of the mind and illusion just comes so naturally, you feel more at home in the wrappings of a strong Genjutsu than you ever did in your mother's arms. There is just something so right about it. Of course, the cost of such a mental talent comes at a great cost to the body.

Effect: Users that focus on this archetype will gain the ability to use the Subtle Element and Combinatorial Element skills with Genjutsu techniques, replacing any physical damage bonuses with ghost damage. In addition, the user will receive +5% to their base ghost damage when they use elemental Genjutsu. Clone Technique II | Bunshin No Jutsu II

Spoiler

Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Gennin
Cost: 5x Chakra
Effect: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is considered to be the number of 'Clones' created by the user and may never be greater than 4. 'Clones' have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. 'Clones' are not physical and may not take any actions. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every 'Clone' of this type on the battlefield. The bonuses of 'Clones' of this type may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle.
Description: A technique that most students are required to be proficient in before they can graduate from the academy, the Bunshin no Jutsu is the most basic of the myriad of clone techniques that exist in the world. By properly molding their chakra, the user is capable of creating near perfect replicas of themselves. Unlike most bunshin jutsu, the basic clone technique does not produce physical clones but creates something more akin to a projected image, which is a real image that has no form. The Clone Technique is considered an E-Ranked jutsu, and is not very powerful, but with practice and ingenuity many shinobi have come to use it in masterful ways. Most often stalling by hiding out among their clones, or setting themselves up for a strong offensive.

This technique has a 5% chance to fail. This technique may be performed 1 time per battle.
Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent's attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies.
Points: ⁿ/ₐ (Evolving 2; Body Replacement Technique)

Effect: This technique may be used in the Setup Phase or Main Phase. When determining the cost of this technique "x" is considered to be the number of "Clones" created by the user and may never be greater than 2. "Clones" have 1 Health and 1% of the user's other statistics. "Clones" are not physical, and may not use items, techniques or attack during their turn. The user of this technique gains +20 Evasion or +20 Accuracy for every "Clone" on the battlefield. The effects of 'Clones' may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc). This technique may be used in the Setup Phase 1 time per battle.

Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique)

Spoiler

Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: 10 Chakra
Description: The Transformation Technique is a time-honored staple of nearly every shinobi academy the world over. Its concept and execution are both extremely basic, making it a perfect training technique for young students. By molding chakra around their body, the user of the Transformation Jutsu is able to temporarily take on the physical characteristics of another person. Though the Henge no Jutsu rarely offers a perfect disguise, clever ninja have been using it for hundreds of years to confound their foes.

Effect: During any situation in which a character with this technique would need to calculate their "Visibility Score", they may use this technique to reduce their "Visibility Score" by -10%. "Visibility Score" reduction caused by this technique may be ignored by any character with heightened senses (i.e; Byakugan, Path of the Sensor, Inuzuka Smell Tracker, etc).

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Substitute Technique)

Spoiler

Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Academy Student
Cost: x Chakra
Description: A life-saving technique for most young shinobi, the Body Replacement Jutsu has been a staple in academy learning for many years. By utilizing their ability to manipulate chakra, with quick movement, a skillful shinobi is capable of switching their position with another object to evade damage. By creating a simple optical illusion, the user of the Kawarimi no Jutsu can make it appear as though they were damaged or even killed by the opponent's attack. Some ninja become extremely adept in the usage of this technique, and have even been known to swap places with hazardous materials to trap their enemies

Effect: This technique may be performed as a Free Action in the Response Phase following a failed dodge roll. When determining the cost of this technique "x" is equivalent to the cost of 1 basic attack or small weapon attack that the user failed to dodge. The damage and effects of that basic attack or small weapon attack are negated. The user may take no action in the Setup Phase or Main Phase on the turn this technique is used. This technique has a 5% chance to fail. This technique may be performed 1 time per battle.
