Anonymous Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 (edited) ALL of these techniques need a Shinjutsu Senbon to use. Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Basic Acupuncture point ~ Central Nervous System Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: Chunnin Cost: 22+5+3=30 Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this in place of one of their basic small weapon attacks, so long as the total chakra used during the main phase does not exceed the cap of your current level. Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - 55% chance to cause dizziness - 10% chance to cause blindness - 20% chance to faze opponent Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the Central Nervous System. This causes their brains to misinterpret signals from the body, and the opponent has trouble reacting to what is actually haappening. Points: 1 Requirements: Must have Austral Shinjutsu Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Basic Acupuncture Point ~ Peripheral Nervous System Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: Chunnin Cost: 10+10+10=30 Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this in place of one of their basic small weapon attacks, so long as all other techniques used are basic attacks. Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - 50% chance opponent will be distracted next turn. - 30% chance to cause burn opponent to feel effects as though he were burned (inflicts 'burn') - 20% chance to stun opponent. (ignore if limit has been reached) Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the Peripheral Nervous System. This causes sensations in limbs which are not actually there, confusing the opponent. There is a chance that it will, instead of giving a lesser sensation, cause all of the pain receptors to simultaneously turn on. Points: 1 Requirements: Must have Austral Shinjutsu Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Basic Acupuncture Point ~ Extremities Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: Chunnin Cost: 15+10+5=30 Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this in place of one of their basic small weapon attacks, so long as the total chakra used during the main phase does not exceed the cap of your current level. . Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - Opponent is hamstrung during his next turn. - 40% to cause opponent to be prone - 20% chance to ensnare enemy Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the Extremities. This causes the muscles of the extremities to tense and kick if struck correctly. Points: 1 Requirements: Must have Austral Shinjutsu Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Basic Acupuncture Point ~ Lungs Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: 30 or 60 Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this in place of one of their basic small weapon attacks, so long as the total chakra used during the main phase does not exceed the cap of your current level. Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - 75% chance opponent cannot breathe for the following turn. (see drowning) Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the lungs, causing them to paralyze. This is not as dangerous to shinobi as it is to non-shinobi, as shinobi can hold their breath for a long time. It is, however, possibly deadly if held long enough. Points: 1 Requirements: Must have Austral Shinjutsu Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Basic Acupuncture Point ~ Heart Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: Chunnin Cost: 10+10+10=30 or 60 Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this in place of one of their basic small weapon attacks, so long as the total chakra used during the main phase does not exceed the cap of your current level. Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - Opponent is tired for their next turn - 20% chance for opponent to be immobilized (ignore if limit has been reached) - 50% chance for a full chain opening to any basic accupuncture point technique Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the heart, slowing its rate of beating. Sometimes, it will slow enough for the opposing ninja to have to stop and try to breath, as they are not getting enough oxygen to their muscles.. Points: 1 Requirements: Must have Austral Shinjutsu Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Basic Acupuncture Point ~ Intestines Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: Chunnin Cost: 30 Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this in place of one of their basic small weapon attacks, so long as the total chakra used during the main phase does not exceed the cap of your current level. Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the Intestines. Probably the least dangerous of all the pressure points, it simply causes extreme sickness. Points: 1 Requirements: Must have Austral Shinjutsu Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Basic Acupuncture Point ~ Liver Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: Chunnin Cost: 25+5=30 Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this in place of one of their basic small weapon attacks, so long as the total chakra used during the main phase does not exceed the cap of your current level. Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - 50% opponent takes poison damage equal to 1/10 of this attacks mods. (I shall assume for now this would cost 50) - 10% chance to cause opponent to be vulnerable (ignore if limit has been reached). Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the Liver. A shooting pain unexpectedly hits the shinobi, causing surprise and confusion. This also causes the liver to release toxins into the body. Anonymous Posted November 19, 2006 Author Posted November 19, 2006 (edited) Please post 3 at a time and in white, yellow hurts my eyes and makes me not want to look. But . . . Its orange. Not Yellow. Anyways, I'll remove the color for now.Make it either Gennin or Chuunin not both. I know. They are just going to be one or the other, but I haven't decided yet.The cost will have to reflect the highest cost of the efftect and average them out. Also what is going to detrermine the percent? What do you mean average them? And the defender will have to roll a dice for each.EDIT: for averages, did you mean something like: Austral Shinjutsu Technique: Acupuncture point ~ Central Nervous System Type: Shoujutsu (Shinjutsu) Rank: Gennin/Chunnin Cost: Damage: 0 (still affected by mods) Effects: User may use this as one of their basic small weapon attacks. Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - Opponent is numb for his next turn. - 60% chance to cause dizziness - 10% chance to cause blindness - 20% chance to faze opponent Description: A Shinjutsu Senbon is launched at one of the 49 acupuncture points on the body and chakra is expelled across the connected meridians effectively giving a fast track to the Central Nervous System. cntrstrk14 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Ok, I am not going to look over these for a couple reasons. Firsy, you have not even chosen a rank for them and there is no attempt at cost or JP. Please fill out your own techniques, the staff does not have time to do this for you, we help you balance your techniques, not make then for you.
Anonymous Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 Ok, I am not going to look over these for a couple reasons. Firsy, you have not even chosen a rank for them and there is no attempt at cost or JP. Please fill out your own techniques, the staff does not have time to do this for you, we help you balance your techniques, not make then for you. These are just prototypes. Thank you for telling me all the reasons mods shouldn't look at this. However, I am not asking for mod to look at it yet. I posted these to get the idea out of my brain, and to be able to visually see them. I am probably going to be working on them for a while because I want to get them to a uniform pricing, and work out a few other kinks. I will bump them when I finish. Your right, I haven't filled out what rank techniques they are, and as such I cannot do cost [Chakra or JP]. This is because I have not decided what level I want them at. When I figure that out, I will put up the rest. The only real question I asked the mods sofar is how to price techniques that use percentages in general and that was because I didn't want to do it entirely wrong. If you want, I could repost that question in the Q&A thread or just price them and wait for you guys to figure out how, and then correct me about how I should have actually priced them. The other reason that you do not see a price is the fact that the weapon needed to use these jutsus has yet to be approved. If it is approved, the [chakra] cost will be cut by 30, therefore changing the [JP] cost of the technique by a point, at least. But, since you mentioned it, I will edit in tentative prices of these techniques. This won't change the fact that they aren't up for Approval. They will only go up for approval once the Shinjutsu Senbon are done.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I posted these to get the idea out of my brain, and to be able to visually see them. MS word works wonders.
Anonymous Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 (edited) All priced up. In order to determine which status effect (if any) applies, a 100 sided die is rolled, starting from the top effect, the next x% on the dice if rolled would cause the effect. ie. Effects: User may use this as one of their basic small weapon attacks. Status effects caused by this technique chain with others. - 55% chance to cause dizziness - 10% chance to cause blindness - 20% chance to faze opponent 0-55=dizzyness 55-65=blind 65-85=fazed Edited November 22, 2006 by B4K4
Anonymous Posted January 4, 2007 Author Posted January 4, 2007 Bumped From Uber-death And again, but now that the senbon are approved, this is finally up for auction. Reviews welcome.
cntrstrk14 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 when you say 'Can be used as a small attack' You mean like, if you throw say 3 needles, you can pay to have one of the needles have this effect of them? If so does that mean this replaces the damage of the effect? If so, you will need to state that you can only use one of these techniques per turn, and also that you need to state which needle has the effect. You do not need to state it in the technique, but say that you must name which needle has the effect such as 'Needle 2 has the effect'.
Anonymous Posted January 4, 2007 Author Posted January 4, 2007 Would it be possible to use more than one per turn, so long as all were paid for and the total didn't exceed the cap?
cntrstrk14 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 no, keeping one technique per main phase. And also, you didnt answer if they still deal damage or if the effect completely replaces the needle damage.
Anonymous Posted January 4, 2007 Author Posted January 4, 2007 Yes, it replaces the damage entirely, though since they do require shinjutsu senbon, there is no damage.

cntrstrk14 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Put in the part about one per turn. Purity, watch the JP. These are all Chuunin techs, so it goes up to 30 DP for 1 JP.
Anonymous Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) The one per turn limit is in there, but before it is approved, I would like to ask a question. If I boost the JP point cost drastically, increased the rank to Jounin or Sannin, and/or added a specific skill for its sole purpose, could I use more than one per turn, as that was what I had originally planned for these techniques. If not, Oh well. They are up for approval. Edited January 6, 2007 by Gokachu

Anonymous Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 Wouldn't the Burn damage from this technique be considered Ghost damage? 0_o Wow, rereading that, I really phrased that technique wrong. It damages the actual nerves, inflicting real damage that is akin to burning.
cntrstrk14 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Rethinking this, you may have these be used more then one per turn, but only if the chakra does not exceed the cap and you need to watch the effect limits on status effects.
Anonymous Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 Changed it, but what do you mean limits on status effects?
cntrstrk14 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 As in, make sure that you do not exceed the turn limit for status effects. APPROVED
Anonymous Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 By the way, does the turn limit designate a max for the whole battle, a max for one technique, or a max in row, caused by different techniques?
Anonymous Posted January 6, 2007 Author Posted January 6, 2007 Kay, does this get moved cause purity already Approved it?
