Anonymous Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 (edited) Shinjutsu Senbon (Acupuncture Needles) Weapon Type: Senbon Size: Small Level: -- Special: -Base damage of 0. -You may choose to apply modifiers (offensive and defensive) are as current modifiers of Austral Shinjutsu attacks -If an opponent is hit by two shinjutsu senbon which strike acupuncture points without being interupted by that opponent's turn, that opponent becomes numb for their next turn. -Once two successful Senbon have struck an opponent and initiated this effect, disregard all other senbon strikes in reference to this effect against that opponant until the targeted opponent has completed one (1) of his/her turns. Description: A small needle (50mm), almost invisibly thin. The needle is wielded by attaching a bit of chakra to the small spherical grip at the end and running chakra through so it stands parallel as an extension of the finger. Because acupuncture is so precise an art, in order to actually strike an acupuncture point, one must aim very carefully, and misses are common. Cost:120$ Edited January 3, 2007 by Gokachu
cntrstrk14 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 What defines an accupuncture site? Also, the modifier does not need to be stated because if someone else collects these after beating you in a battle, they will be using them under regular needle rules.
Anonymous Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 A jutsu is needed to strike an acupuncture point, and they will state in the jutsu that an acupuncture point is hit.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Then the tech should have the stunned effect, not the needle.
Rei Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Austral Shinjutsu attacks Provide a link to this Jutsu or series.
Anonymous Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 (edited) Austral Shinjutsu Techniques Then the tech should have the stunned effect, not the needle. Yes, but then every Austral Shinjutsu technique would cost another 30. I was hoping to be able to pay for it in the weapon, as opposed to in the jutsus. Edited November 22, 2006 by B4K4
Anonymous Posted November 22, 2006 Author Posted November 22, 2006 I just realized that I made a mistake. Technically, under a skill I had put in the creation forum a while back, (Preemptive link) an acupuncterist may use any shinjutsu senbon throw and make it target an accupuncture point. So, anything that is used with this senbon (even basic throws) would gain the numbing effect. Just wanted to say this, as I said something different before.
Takius Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 2 needles have to hit for the numb to take place; max of 1 turn of numb inflicted per turn (IE You cannot spam 10 needles and then have the opponent numb for 5 turns)
Takius Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 State explicitly that the numb does not stack; ask someone (like Rain) to look over this and price it--I'm terrible with items.
Anonymous Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 I put it at the bottom of that range cause it is a small weapon, and therefore naturally less expensive than its counterparts. If its not a balanced enough price, I'll adjust it.
Anonymous Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 (edited) If I make it four senbon instead of two in order to receive the effect, could I reduce the priceat all? Edited December 12, 2006 by Gokachu
Atlas Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) $120 and then Approved Edit: Doubtful that, that would make a difference. Edited January 3, 2007 by Purity
