From birth most members of the Shiro-Akuma clan are born with a strong sixth sense. They all, upon hitting ‘adulthood' are tattooed by the lead Shamans with a mark of two fish, a blue one, and a white one, circling each other like yin and yang. The tattoo is a symbol of the member's ability to synchronize with a spirit and for the two to reach coexistence, and some argue is the source of their strength and a point of their unity as a clan.

At a young age, members of this clan will become aware of spirits around them, whether it be sounds they can hear or flickering of images in the corner of the eye, or the dark of the night. At first, many are afraid from these new experiences, but soon they become a natural occurrence that they come to ignore or become fascinated by. And so is the childhood of members of the clan until they reach ‘adulthood' which comes at many different ages, but for many around the age of twelve or higher. At this time the placement of the tattoo commences, but during the same ritual the clan member is put into a deep trance and what is called as the ‘Earth Bound' ritual is preformed. It is during this state of trance that the elder shaman helps the young clan member to find their spirit partner, and after finding them they immediately awake and are aware of the name of their spirit. There are a few cases in which a clan member is unable to form a connection and finish the ritual, and though they may be ashamed, it has been accepted by the clan as something that happens every so often.

If the member has passed their right of passage they will find that at first they are unable to control the spirit, but at the same time the spirit is unable to fully take over or control the user. Though characteristics of the two may blend, the spirit's feelings or personalities bleeding into the everyday life of the clan member, the two remain separate. After some time though, the clan member will be able to feel control over their spirit, and they can begin what is called (Mask of Ghosts). The eyes of the mask, the most striking aspect of the bloodline itself visually, are an unnatural blue color with a golden pupil.

Spirit
Upon receiving Mask of the Ghosts Rank 1, the user is able to create their own ‘spirit' and place it on their character sheet, creating a new section underneath ‘Inventory' for the spirit sheet to be placed, more than likely entitled ‘Spirit'. The spirit itself cannot fight, but can only have its stats, techniques and skills accessed through the bloodline branches below. See below for more information on these fields.

A spirit must be a being that at one point lived a normal life. It does not necessarily have to be a human, though it is suggested that you make it so. An animal may be used in place of a human, but it must have reached some kind of sentient thought through its own death and life as a spirit. This means that in its normal living life, it would have been a simple, regular part of its species, but upon death it was able to form thoughts and communicate with those with a strong sixth sense.

Mask of Spirits
This ability is the synchronization of a clan member and their spirit. The first level involves little or no control over the spirit, but with time the clan member learns to tap into the power of their spirit through the use of the Mask of Spirits. The mask first appears as about a quarter of the face, usually starting from the forehead and moving down over one of the eyes, but not necessarily, each clan member has a slightly different effect. As they progress through power and obtain more and more of the spirit's abilities, the mask grows in size until it covers the entire face of the clan member. This is the final rank and what all clan members seek to attain, as it signifies complete unity with their spirit.

 

 

 

Cost: 10% Chakra to activate; 5% Chakra upkeep
All Ranks must be purchased in order.
All advanced Chakra & Stamina regeneration skills/jutsu's are suspended.
All celestial gates must still be paid for, however, their effects are negated.
Summons and pets may not be used by the player when this bloodline is activated.

Rank 1: The user may obtain a spirit and add it to their character sheet as well as have access to all clan jutsu. The character is unable to control the spirit, and at times will have the personality and emotions of the spirit spill into their own, causing them to act as they may not normally.
Requirement: Level 0
Cost: -1
Rank 2: User gains 25% of spirit's stats, stacked upon their own. Stat addition may surpass 1.5x for the stat it is effecting, but cannot go beyond 1.5x of the highest stat the character has. All stats are rounded up.
Requirement: Level 10
Cost: -1
Rank 3: User gains 50% of spirit's stat, stacked upon their own. Stat addition may surpass 1.5x for the stat it is effecting, but cannot go beyond 1.5x of the highest stat the character has. Does not stack with Rank 2. All stats are rounded up.
Requirement: Chuunin, Level 30
Cost: -2
Rank 4: User gains 75% of spirit's stat, stacked upon their own. Stat addition may surpass 1.5x for the stat it is effecting, but cannot go beyond 1.5x of the highest stat the character has. Does not stack with Rank 3. All stats are rounded up.
Requirement: Jounin, Level 50
Cost: -2
Rank 5: User gains 100% of spirit's stat, stacked upon their own. Stat addition may surpass 1.5x for the stat it is effecting, but cannot go beyond 1.5x of the highest stat the character has. Does not stack with Rank 4. All stats are rounded up. After use of this skill the user must roll a d2. If the result is a one (1) they must spend one week (RL) in the hospital after the battle due to strain.
Requirement: Jounin, Level 70

Assimilation of the Spirit; Gear One
- Techniques must be approved by clan head and should fit the theme of your spirit.
- Spirit Techniques can never be used two turns in a row, even if they are of different rank.
- All reduced costs are rounded up.


Rank 1: Upon activation of the ‘Mask of Spirits' the user may use the Chuunin Level technique available to their spirit at 90% cost. May only access this technique while ‘Mask of Spirits' is activated.
Requirement: Mask of Spirits Rank 2; Level 15
Cost: -1
Rank 2: Upon activation of the ‘Mask of Spirits' the user may use the Jounin Level technique available to their spirit at 90% cost. Chuunin Level spirit technique cost is reduced to 75%. May only access these techniques while ‘Mask of Spirits' is activated.
Requirement: Mask of Spirits Rank 3; Level 35
Cost: -1
Rank 3: Upon activation of the ‘Mask of Spirits' the user may use the Sennin Level technique available to their spirit at 90% cost. Jounin Level spirit technique cost is reduced to 75%. Chuunin Level spirit technique cost is reduced to 50%. May only access these techniques while ‘Mask of Spirits' is activated.
Requirement: Mask of Spirits Rank 4; Level 55

Rank 4: Sennin Level spirit technique cost is reduced to 75% cost. Jounin Level spirit technique cost is reduced to 50%. Chuunin Level spirit technique cost is reduced to 25%. May only access these techniques while ‘Mask of Spirits' is activated.

-Roll eyes- Another Bleach/Shaman King deal.

  • While Mask of Spirits is active, summon and pets owned by this character are suspended and clones are unusable.
  • All advanced Chakra & Stamina regeneration skills/Jutsu's are suspended
  • While this effect is active, the celestial gates must still be paid for, however, their effects are negated.
  • I dislike the idea of having access to Jutsu you do not possess; it is unfair to the players who pay Jutsu points and the curse sealers who suffer a chance of death every use. I'll hold off on my verdict until another Mod has a crack at this.

I added two of them, but I want to challenge the bit about clones/pets/summons. Why should this specific bloodline have their effect limited when I have not seen such limitations put on other bloodlines that simply boost stats?

Also, as for techniques, you are paying SP in place of the JP cost for these jutsu, as the skills only give access to a single technique and have no other effect, which is how I see it balancing.

You're combining two ‘characters' and use the end result. A player could forsake ‘useless' stats and use their spirit to compensate for the ones they ignored. Coupled with summon or powerful clone (I.e., Shadow, Mirror or Essence) and you have an inflated opponent. Furthermore, no bloodline allows one increase every stat or integrates two characters into one. Rin'negan, that Hardcore Skittlez tried to approve, received the same limitations.

You'll need to specific what these spirits are and set ground rules. For now, I'm treating them as pets.

I will set some bounds for the spirit and what it can be, but as for the clones, etc. I do not think the bonuses granted here is enough to not allow the use of at least clones. Pets and Summons I can see as becoming to much, but clones are a pretty basic tool.

I'll set grounds for spirits later, out of time for now.

This isn't even a Shaman King port D: It's a Bleach port...

And ports are allowed, they just have to be tastefully worked into the Naruto-verse. I think I did a good enough job if you couldn't even tell what I was porting. <___<

EDIT: Added in a small guide of what the spirit should be and also added in that they cannot make use of summons or pets while this is active.
