Cloudnine Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) Shizukesa Project: Celestial Limbs StanceBloodline: Shizukesa ProjectEffect: Requires the user and his/her twin to be assimilated. This skill is considered an Advanced System when activated. Takes a Setup Phase at the cost of 5% of the user's total stamina/chakra as upkeep per turn. While in this state, the user may choose to deactivate the skill, or pay an additional 10% stamina/chakra that turn to fully separate from their twin. [splitting from this state still follows the twin's use limits: once per battle, or twice per battle with the Taijutsu style.]In this stance, the user gains two additional hands (total to 4) and the following options: -Ability to hold 1 additional large weapon and gain 1 additional swing per main phase. -Ability to hold 2 additional medium weapons and gain 2 additional swings per main phase. -As long as 2 hands are available, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu can be cast.If all hands free:-Ability to cast 2 Chuunin level jutsu in one main phase. -Ability to cast 3 Gennin level jutsu in one main phase. Bound [Arm] status affect will only subtract 1 attack/jutsu from each previous option, while Bound [Paired Arms] still goes into effect. These attacks all follow multiple attack jutsu rules, and in the case of different types of jutsu, the modifiers of each one still would be divided by the number of attacks made. Description: A midway state in the act of the twin splitting away from the host, this state is frequently fleeting and seen for only seconds. However, with experience, select Hagemasu are capable of achieving a degree of control and balance in their systems similar to how acrobats are able stand casually on the circumference of a barrel, or multiple barrels. The Celestial Limbs Stance resembles the common image of the four-armed Kali, goddess of eternal energy. The twin's limbs form two arms from the host's body, allowing a method of battle halfway between fighting alone and with the twin fully separated. In all, this creates a fairly impressive image, and the 'Celestial' in the name of the stance does relate to its resemblance to a godly state of being.Requirements: Musei Nijuuka, Level 100Cost: -3Notes:-Paying 5% stam/chak upkeep + 10% stam/chak to separate= 15% stam/chak for host and twin to split in original skill. cntrstrk14 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 -An additional 4 basic attacks and 4 small weapon attacks per turn. This very quick breaks the Warrior "weapon" skills that give bonus per weapon attack. (There is no rule saying you can't get this on small weapons. A +20 damage becomes a +40 damage per rank. -Ability to hold another medium/large weapon and gain 1 additional swing per turn. An additional swing with a large weapon is +50% base damage on weapons that turn. That is a lost of bonus, especially with a level 100 weapon (+400 damage). -Ability to hold a weapon [but not 2] and cast 1 jutsu simultaneously without having to drop it. Sure. -Ability to cast 2 Chuunin level jutsu in one main phase. Hesitant. -Ability to cast 3 Gennin level jutsu in one main phase. Hesitant.
Cloudnine Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Would having the extra small weapon attacks and medium/large weapon swings not benefit from damage modifiers and/or damage increasing skills work? And for the multiple jutsus- would it work to restrict status effects Full Chain Opening, Full Opening, Half Chain Opening, Half Opening, and Vulnerable?
Cloudnine Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Bump! Changed the effects some, removed the increased basic attacks part. All bonus attacks gained from this skill have halved base damage if that helps to address concerns. Also should this been an Advanced System? Edited November 24, 2013 by Cloudnine
Cellar Door Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Approved, with the mutli-hit idea rules, this doesn't bother me a whole lot. Need one more.
cntrstrk14 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Is this an advanced system? -Ability to cast 2 Chuunin level jutsu in one main phase. One jutsu cast in this manner has halved base damage and effects. -Ability to cast 3 Gennin level jutsu in one main phase. One jutsu cast in this manner has halved base damage and effects. I was thinking about these, and I would actually be okay with you getting full base damage and effects on these. You are basically paying bad ratios to get "building block" techniques and it encourages having lower rank techniques. Especially if this is an advanced system with the 5% upkeep attached. 3 Genin techniques = 220 damage points max 2 Chuunin techniques - 300 damage points max Both lower than Jounin techniques and at worse ratios. -Ability to hold another medium/large weapon and gain 1 additional swing per turn. Additional swing's base damage is halved. -Ability to hold a weapon [but not 2] and cast 1 jutsu simultaneously without having to drop it. I think this can be maybe buffed/cleaned up a bit. You have 2 extra arms (unless I am reading it wrong) so... -Creates two additional hands. -Ability to hold one (1) additional large weapon and gain one (1) additional swing. -Ability to hold two (2) additional medium weapons and gain two (2) additional swings. -Extra hands may be used to cast Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. The last line works because the rules only say "You need two free hands to make seals in order to use a Ninjutsu Technique."
Cloudnine Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Edited the phrasing of the skill effects, and made it an advanced system. Please let me know if the wording makes sense!
