Rhap Sodos Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) This is an updated version of two of Kidori's Original Skills to fall inline with current rules and skills. Important Changes: Players do not get a dodge roll when responding to attacks not aimed at you. See: 3.01. Players now apply half of the relevant defensive modifier as opposed to half the dodge/evasion modifier. Players must post this skill at the start of battle to prevent players having to retcon posts. cntrstrk14 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 How does the user of this technique know for sure that the attack would knock out an ally? They are not privy to the information any more than the enemy unless they are told. Does it fall on the responsibility of the ally to let the other player know?
Rhap Sodos Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 I'd rather frame it as "It is the player's responsibility to find out." Baring them being from the same village and not wanting to snoop on their ally's character sheet for that specific piece of information: It is the player's responsibility [like any hindering skill] to let their allies/opponents know of Defender and IMO, it is to the ally's advantage to let their teammate know when they need to come in and be the perfect meatshield. Players may also request via private means for that information [PM]. I suppose worse case scenario is that they defer to Staff for the info, but because both these skills are for team-based battles, they are reliant on a certain amount of willingness to work together.
Hardcore Skittlez Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 New versions were staff-made and placed on the main site. Moving this to dead to avoid any further confusion.
