Official 8.0.x Q&A thread Speed StatThe largest and most important change up in this patch is a VERY important change to the way that Speed works. The change may seem large at first, but it is actually much simpler than it looks so hang in here a minute, here are the highlights!- In an effort to make speed calculations easier, the equation has been reworked. Hopefully this is easier now! Check out the Speed section under Effects and Stats!- You no longer get "multiple turns" in a row. Now in a battle when you would have multiple turns in a row, you instead get multiple actions in either your Main Phase or Setup Phase (your choice). See Battle System 3.18; Multiple Turns in a Row below!Here is a list of the relevant pages that got updated!- Effects and Stats 2.01i; Speed- Battle System 3.18; Multiple Turns in a Row- Speed Examples PageJutsu Point Reduction Skills & Elemental Specialty ChangeThis is probably the second msot important change in this patch. All skills that reduce the amount of Jutsu Points needed to learn techniques are being unapproved and must be resubmitted! The staff came to an agreement that JP reduction skills were getting out of control and we are trying to reel it in. To get you started, here is the list of rules that the staff will be using when approving these types of skills... -1 JP for specific type of jutsu = -2 SP-2 JP for clan jutsu = -3 SP [Only for clans with a heavy technique focus and no bloodline; I.E. - Nara, etc.]-2 JP for specific type of jutsu (not clan) = DOES NOT EXIST.-3+ JP for specific type of jutsu = DOES NOT EXIST.-x JP for broad range of jutsu = DOES NOT EXIST.None of these stack with any other JP reduction skills. (E. Specialties are the only exception, ever.) The only main site change is to the wording of Elemental Specialties. Basically all of them were worded to say..."~ Jutsu cost one less JP to a minimum of 1. This effect may stack with other skills, to a maximum of -2 JP per technique."- Skills; Elemental SpecialtiesNOTICE: If this change would put you in Jutsu Point "debt" because you no longer have enough JP to pay for all of your techniques, you have two options.- A: You may unlearn any techniques of your choosing to get back into debt. Note, you cannot unlearn more techniques than would allow you to get out of "debt". No swapping your entire jutsu list! That is cheating and will be looked upon harshly.- B: You may keep all of your jutsu and "payback" the Jutsu Points as you gain levels.Summons UpdateNot a huge change here, but more so clarification on how Summon Families work and how many summons are allowed in a family. It would be easier to just link you to the rules page, so that's what I will do!- Clones, Pets & Summons 8.02; SummonsCurrency XPThe amount that Stats and Skill Points cost for Currency is updated. We relaize that the changes made in the Speed stat may lead you to regret putting a large amount of points in that stat, for as we balanced it (took away, but added some bonuses, so stay sharp!) we may have altered how you liked it. You may submit a request to your local staff member and we will review your character and tell you how much, if you are able to, relocate your stats. It would be helpful if you gave us an idea of how much you want to relocate as well. Note: We will most likely not grant request for a large amount. Thank you, keep your questions coming! NA Staff.
