So what is the World Building Contests?

(Updated for 2019!) I originally made these back in 2013 as a way to reward players who were less mechanically inclined as at the time we had rewards for the coolest submission each month. I thought it would be cool to give players a chance to create locations in the world! The first three contests were all about adding locations to the world, places that could be visited in character. For the fourth one we broke the mold some and did a contest for techniques to add to the main site! The spirit of these contests is to add really cool content to the world and reward the best submissions!

 

How are winners chosen?

I choose! It's entirely up to me! Sorry if this does not sound appealing but anything else is just tedious and this is more about the experience and what we can create together and less about a real competition anyways.

 

How do I participate?

Each contest will have its own thread where you can post submissions. Each contest will also have its own goals and potential other rules. However, these are the general rules...

 

• Post your submission in this thread.

• Do not post anything except submissions in this thread.

• Members may submit as many submissions as they want.

• All staff members may participate (except myself). 

• Don't worry about the little details! If you are unsure about information or if it will conflict with things that already exist in the world, or if its a creation that the balance is not exactly right, you can still win! The core ideas, the execution, and how appealing the core is will be what will be most important!

So, does this HAVE to be a Naruto related description?

The chosen winner will be added to the wiki (and made NA canon). So yes? It has to exist within the same world. Check the winners from the first two for examples of what I mean.
