Flying Thunder God; Guiding Thunder | Hiraishin; Dōrai | 飛雷神・導雷

Cost: 500 Chakra 

Effects: Used in the Response Phase. Creates a barrier with 1000 Health. The user skips their next Main Phase. At the end of the Response Phase the user may choose one attack whose damage was completely absorbed by this barrier and pay 0.5x Chakra, where x is the cost of the chosen attack. If they do, they redirect the attack to a new target with all the original modifiers. May only choose characters or objects in possession of a Jutsu Formula (術式, Jutsu-shiki) created by the user as the new targets. The user may not use any techniques in the Response Phase on the following two (2) turns. Any attack that is completely absorbed by the barrier but not chosen at the end of the Response Phase is sent to a Jutsu Formula (術式, Jutsu-shiki) that the user owns outside of the battle. In either case, the chosen Jutsu Formula (術式, Jutsu-shiki) is destroyed. May be use two (2) times per battle.

Description: This barrier technique incorporates the use of the Flying Thunder God formula to erect a barrier space capable of warping away anything which comes in contact with it. Once erected, the barrier has proven powerful enough to warp away techniques as destructive as a Tailed Beast Ball. Once warped, the subject of the technique can be directed to another location marked by the formula.

Designer Notes

- Previous version
- Made this require the Hirashin skill instead of just the technique.

- Incorporated the "reverse the attack" tech that we recently figured out how to balance. 

- Only removes the use of RPJ for one turn since it requires the skill. Open to discussion.

- Also open to a longer / more in depth description. Doesn't seem elaborate enough for how cool this is.

- If this absorbs a Taijutsu or Weapon attack, the user who preformed the attack is teleported in RP. This could causes 3.16 interactions to occur. Yes I am okay with this.

Updated this drastically after discussion. It still does approximately the same thing, but with a different mechanism that drives it further apart from Kan-Laon.

"From the user" sounds kind of sloppy, and while it probably wouldn't lead to any sort of convoluted-ness, I think "created by (applied by) the user" is a more concrete wording. Especially since the only way a shiki can get put on someone is by that single user. It also just makes the sentence flow smoother.

I don't see anything else that looks wrong to me here, but this is one of the few FTG things out right now that I'm still a little bit leery of as far as its effects on combat go. Worst case scenario, this'll get pulled back to have its cost bumped up or its cool-down tweaked, but we'll see how I feel about it after this arc.
