汽笛Kiteki
Weapon Type: Hidden Blade
Size: Medium
Level: 0 (See Clause)
Special:
Hidden
Indestructible
Unique
Retraction Spring

Free Handed

Armored Sheath: This weapon’s sheath serves as part of the weapon itself, with the sheath being fastened on the user’s arm, making the weapon easily extended and retracted when necessary. Both the sheath and blade are crafted to withstand the strongest of blows, making it incredibly difficult to break or even malfunction. The blade can be retracted on an attack to the weapon itself, allowing the sheath to take the attack instead.

This blade cannot be destroyed while it is retracted.

Assassin’s Blade: Kiteki was designed for use by assassins, who often choose to attack when an opponent's sight is obstructed.

The user may choose to activate this ability during a set-up phase for 5% of their total chakra and stamina, and 2.5% of each per turn of an upkeep cost after that. While this ability is activated, the climate is considered 'Steam Mist', and the user does not suffer the effects.

Steam Mist: A heavy mist blankets the area. Accuracy stat is reduced by 20%.

If another climate is currently on the battlefield, this climate is active at the same time and does not overwrite the current climate. This climate cannot be overwritten.

Slow Burn: Kiteki's design allows for steam to flow through, out, and around it almost constantly. This constant flow of steam makes for an easy chance to burn an opponent, especially by a skilled an accurate assassin.

With a successful attack by this weapon, inflict x 'burning' damage on whomever the attack hits, where x is the user's accuracy divided by 15.

Blazing Mist: Birthed in steam, Kiteki is considered a legend because of it's ability to channel the elements involving steam almost twofold from the user. The weapon has small, miniscule holes throughout it, as well as a tubing system leading from the users palms.

This weapon can be used in conjunction with Taijutsu techniques, but may not break the damage cap. The Steam element may be applied to these techniques, and on critical hits both the effects from Subtle Elements; Water and Subtle Elements; Fire are applied.

Description: Kiteki is a serrated and slightly curved inward blade that is about eight inches long when it’s fully extended. It is a wrist blade, attached to a bracer that acts as its sheath. The blade, when fully retracted, the weapon is nearly invisible. The bracer extends from the wrist almost up to the elbow, covering most of the forearm of the wearer.

The tip of the blade is hollowed out at the point, allowing the storage of a small amount of liquid that is easily forced out by the momentum of a quick and successful strike.

Both the blade and the sheath are a dull gray color, with ornate etchings on each. The mechanism that extends and retracts the blade is operated by either a quick movement of the arm or a short burst of steam in the small compartments built into the sheath. Both are incredibly lightweight, making it an extension of the wielder once worn. When it extends with the usage of steam, a light whistling noise is heard, which is where it got its name.

Cost: 8000 word quest to find it and obtain it. This quest will consist of, in the least, reading up on the legends of the sword, looking for it's probable whereabouts, and searching for it. Once this information is compiled, and the sword is searched for, and and at least 8000 words have been written, it will be found in the various cliffs of some of the smaller islands around the mainland, and the user will be required to make a roll of D100, with the target number for the roll being 100-X, where X is the user's level. If this roll is failed, the user may attempt it again, writing 2000 more words, and rolling a D100 with a target number of 75-X, where X is the user's level. If this roll is failed, the user may write 1000 more words, and attempt a final attempt, a roll of a d100, with a target number of 60-X, where X is the user's level.

Clause: This sword, just like every other sword amongst the legendary swords of the Seven Shinobi Swords of Kirigakure no Sato, is considered level '0' until the user has trained at least 4000 words with it. Following this training, it is considered level 10. 2000 more words of training is required to make the sword grow to its next stage, which its final stage, which is level 20. All of the Seven Swords of Kirigakure no Sato can have their level upgraded via $, but not until the user has reached the 'maximum base potential' of the blade, and mastered it.

Ownership: Any ninja whom would try to take Hiramekarei must quest for it within Mizu no Kuni. In addition, no abilities of this sword are considered "activied" and user suffers 10% reduction in their to-hit until the potenial user has trained to mastered it, completing the 6000 words and unlocking it's 20 weapon levels.

Had this moved back for reapproval... I just realized I completely forgot to put another attribute I'd planned on in again, 'slow burn'. The only change is that, plus adding 2000 words to the quest. This should be good now.

Instead of that ability, I would rather it have the Greater Affliction [burned] attribute. Theoretically, chaining burned like that can get pretty out of hand since it plays off of Taijutsu and weapon damage.

Greater Affliction [burned]

The power of certain weapons contain an esoteric power to them that may offend a human body with varying afflictions, dependant upon the individual weapon

Effect: Any weapon with this attribute has the potential to afflict a target with a status effect when successfully struck. The status effect inflicted is chosen at the time of purchase and may never be changed. Enemy will roll a d20; 1-10 results in the enemy suffering the [chosen] status for the duration of one turn. "Stunned, Vulnerable, Disorganized, and Immobilized" may not be used [Any status with a "DP" of 50 or less may be chosen, so long as a valid reason is provided]. Effect Costs: Y - X (X=Your level; Y=Target level. A cost of at least 20 Chakra must be paid to 'activate' and 'maintain' the ability to afflict an enemy with a status)

Cost:$400

Would replacing it with ' burning' suffice? Something similar to samehada's shark skin, where the users stat decides the burn damage.

Edit: Replaced that attribute with what I mentioned, removed the metabolic breakdown one, and added another more 'steam-like' attribute. Kept the word cost at 8k, but it was originally at 6k.

Moving this back because it's going to bother me that there's a useless attribute on the weapon (after poisons are changed). Five was too many anyways. Took this away from the attributes:

Sting All Enemies to Death: Because of the blade’s unique and hollowed tip, poisons are easily stored and applied to this weapon, and just as easily inflicted on the opponent.

This weapon is treated as small when it comes to applying and coating, only taking one use to apply a poison during the setup phase instead of two.

If anything else needs to be changed let me know, but since this is simply being weakened I don't see any problems.

I made another edit, from this:

Blazing Mist:

Birthed in steam, Kiteki is considered a legend because of it's ability to channel the elements involving steam almost twofold from the user.

If this weapon deals a critical hit, add the bonuses of Steam combinatorial elements, as well as the bonuses from both fire subtle elements and water subtle elements, as if this attack was a steam ninjutsu and a large body of water was present.

to this:

Blazing Mist:

Birthed in steam, Kiteki is considered a legend because of it's ability to channel the elements involving steam almost twofold from the user.

I wanted to include the first part because when Azure resubmitted the Suizuma clan he created a hidden blade type weapon with these attributes -

Assassin's Blade

Weapon Type: Hidden Blade

Size: Medium

Level: 1

Special: Hidden

Attributes: Perforation & Tubing

The weapon has small, miniscule holes throughout it, as well as a tubing system leading from the users palms.  This may be used in conjunction with Kademono style techniques, but may not break the damage cap.

Description: One of the most ancient style of ninja art was the style of assassination. The bloody mist was not without its fair share of assassins, a good handful of them were Suizuma. They designed a blade mechanism that attaches to the user's leather glove and with a flick of their wrist, the blade extends. It is not a long blade, but can be used to parry away others is used correctly.

Restriction: May only be bought by a Suizuma member at Chuunin rank or above.
