  1. I kind of thought this would be more than just Sage Mode with the dodge roll ability cherry picked out of the Gates.
  2. Utakata's bubbles are water release.
  3. Designer's Notes: The base Rasengan can be found here. So this is a version of the Rasengan that was part of NA's canon before it was Naruto's. Raz's son did the tiny Rasengan first. Anyway, that's just a little factoid. Doesn't have to do with the balance of the jutsu. It's slightly stronger than your average genin jutsu, and much weaker than your average chunin jutsu. It also had the whole "destroy item" aspect knocked off of it, since it's so dinky. The one weirdness about it is that you can learn this with just the first 2 stages of Rasengan training, but unless you have the 3rd stage, you can only use it once per battle.
  4. Chibitama Rasengan | Runt Ball Rasengan | ちび玉螺旋丸 • Chibitama Rasengan | Runt Ball Spiralling Sphere | ちび玉螺旋丸 Type: Ninjutsu [Void | Seal-less] Rank: Genin Cost: 80 Chakra Damage: 80 Effect: The user of this technique (or any combatant capable of performing 'Rasengan') may choose to increase the base cost of this technique by paying 'x' Chakra to increase the total damage of this technique by x. The value of x may never exceed a number based on the user's Ninja Rank (i.e; Genin; 20, Chūnin; 40, Jōnin; 60, Sennin; 80). Anytime this technique deals damage to a Barrier, Shield or other Construct, this technique deals an additional 10% of its total damage to that Barrier, Shield, or Construct. Description: The Rasengan is an extremely potent jutsu which requires extremely comprehensive control over one's ability to alter the shape of their chakra. It can be a difficult technique to master for even experienced ninja, but for young shinobi or those with limited ability to manipulate chakra, performing a full-sized Rasengan is almost impossible. The results are too-often an incomplete, and much smaller version of the jutsu that has been mockingly referred to as the Runt Ball Rasengan. Though it is smaller than a typical Rasengan, it does pack a punch. Requirements: Rasengan Training; Power (If this technique is acquired in anyway without the skill 'Rasengan Training; Containment' it may be used 1 time per battle, and shares uses with all other techniques that require Rasengan Training skills.) Points: 5
  5. I just need to buy this. Linen Wrap Item Placement: Arms Item Attributes: Hidden - This item may not be the target of abilities until it's used in battle. Description: A length of clean, white, linen bandages that Kazuto began wearing during his travels with Sarutobi Mari. Though the bandages themselves are nothing special, they are often used to cover very real injuries. Cost: 50 Total Funds: 1469 After Purchase: 1419
  6. Designer's Notes: Look at this fuckin' monster! That's all. All my notes for this. Nah, I dunno. Speaking candidly, this isn't like primo until you hit level 120. If you use it before then, you're going to damage yourself and screw up your own ability to mold chakra too, because of the wind vortex. I think it helps to balance it. It has limited usages like the regular Rasengan stuff, which helps. High level requirements. Skill locks. Hurts you most of the time. Um... oh, the biggest limiter on this is really its cost. It is so fucking expensive to do this as an AoE, and even if you were to put it in a scroll, the way those are worded you can't actually choose to do that application without paying the additional cost. The two larger versions don't do anything special besides more damage and slightly stronger damaged tenketsu. They also can't be done outside of Sage Mode, further limiting their effectiveness. I was going to write down a cost break-down, but there's a ton of breakdown already done here and a lot of the damage increases and stuff are just basic jutsu math. I'm sure Cntrstrk will look at this first too, and give opinions.
  7. My issue is that you're basically just doing the 5 damage to apply your modifiers. The cost is negligible. I'd say rework it.
  8. Approved, I think. I looked over the hybrid rules and didn't notice anything wrong.
  9. Ah. Yes, I did derp a bit there. Though it still feels like these have a lot more punishments than they do benefits. Would it not be more effective to use regular set traps, and just leave them on the field and trigger them in clusters when you have the opportunity?
  10. So, am I missing something with these? If you use the chunin one at genin, it takes 4 turns to hit +12x% to hit. 4 turns means you get 120 damage for 110 chakra, which is more expensive than regular. If you let it get to the fifth turn, it would happen at the beginning of the turn before you get main phase, and pop in your face. And that's the best return you can possibly hope to get since at Chunin you'll only get 2 turns before this starts threatening for maximum. Then at Jonin and Sennin you only get one turn before it wants to blow up. So after a certain rank, you're never going to be able to set off more than one of these at a time due to the action economy of setting them up, and their damage will be super low.
  11. So, from an RP perspective, these should absolutely be forbidden jutsu. Also, there's no way you should be able to perma-kill someone with a jonin-jutsu. There are things that exist out there that do it, but they usually have some pretty serious negative side effects. The Reaper Death Seal, for instance kills you too. Edo Tensei is so forbidden that you might as well just prepare for every nation to suddenly send their strongest guy to come kick you in the dick the minute you use it. Also, is the aging permanent if they don't die? Generally after a battle, effects that were applied go away.
  12. Do you get mods on the middle one? I feel like you should not get mods on the middle one.
  13. So... my issue here is that this might as well say "may not be negated by any technique that is not a tier 4 combinatorial element." Because of the way the game resolves attacks, you can't do "response coalescences" and that means that there really is no way to properly perform a negation jutsu on this unless you meet the elemental criteria. That said, anyone smart would either use a barrier or do a shunshin or something that doesn't count as a negation move to counter this. The real issue is that we have rules against saying things like "may not be negated". This may be fine because it has the requirements, but I would leave that up to @cntrstrk14
  14. I don't see a huge issue with this. It has a skill requirement, and you don't get a regular dodge roll while it's active. I think the effect is underwhelming for whatever the port is. I believe there was a whole lot of hype for this thing Goku did, but it's a pretty clean mechanic. Approved, but also looking to see what others think.
