  1. These seem fine. Especially since Light is that one element that we let heal people. Approved.
  2. Additional damage to a barrier would not carry over. So like if a barrier had 20 health left, and a swung with an attack that did 400 damage and 1.5x to constructs, it would not do 580 damage to the enemy.
  3. So, if you wanted this to be an actual seal, you might want to make a skill for it to apply, that has the actual effect in it. Right now this would only apply for the duration of the battle at most. Also, could we tone down the Yu-Gi-Oh theme some? It's a cool idea, but the visual I get from the description is like... really terrible.
  4. Did this ever actually bind anyone's arms? Or are you just throwing an upgrade on it because you can? Not that I'm against the idea, I'm just wondering if there's not something that would fit it more? I'd have to go wiki the jutsu though.
  5. This technique needs to be made into a Genjutsu, as per its canon incarnation. If not, you'll need to change the name to something else.
  6. This is a complicated way to save JP for your character while also costing you action economy. For the purposes of the bloodline I think this is alright. Approved
  7. I talked over this in voice chat, and nothing really sticks out here as overpowered other than getting +100 stats at entry level, but it quickly gets outpaced by just about any other bloodline. Approved.
  8. Moved this back. Only change is that I increased the cost of the skill to -2 to match Chidori Shape's -2.
  9. • Chidori Nagashi | 千鳥流し | One Thousand Birds Current Type: Ninjutsu [Lightning] Rank: Jōnin Cost: 1.5x Chakra Effect: When determining the cost of this technique 'x' is equivalent to the base cost of another technique which requires the skill 'Chidori Training; Poise', chosen by the user when this technique is performed. The chosen technique must be possessed by the user. This technique may be performed in the Response Phase or Main Phase: Response: The total damage of any unresolved, physical attack targeting the user of this technique is reduced by 50% of the total damage that would have been dealt by the technique chosen by the user when this technique was performed. If the damage of any attack would be reduced to 0 in this way then that attack is negated. The user of any melee attack that's damage is reduced by this technique has a 50% chance of being afflicted with 1 turn of the status effect 'Weakened' at the beginning of their next turn. This technique has a 5% chance to fail, and the user sacrifices their Setup and Main on the turn this technique is used. Main: When this technique is performed, the attack 'Lightning Swell' is applied to the battlefield as if by the climate effect 'Monsoon'. 'Lightning Swell' targets all characters except the user of this technique, deals damage equal to 50% of the total damage of the technique chosen by the user when performing this technique, and has a chance to hit equivalent to if the user had performed that technique. Any character dealt damage by 'Lightning Swell' is also afflicted with 2 turns of the status effect 'Weakened'. Description: The Chidori has long been considered a potent jutsu, called an assassination technique for the speed and precision at which it can deal fatal blows. That is not to say that it is a jutsu without weakness. A single shinobi facing multiple foes would be left at a tremendous disadvantage when using Chidori. To counter this, the Chidori Nagashi was invented. By channeling the chakra that one would use to perform Chidori through their whole body, the user is capable of generating a current of electricy around their body. This field is can be applied both offensively, damaging multiple enemies at once, or defensively to dampen the force of attacks. Those caught within the field of Chidori Nagashi are stricken with numbness that weakens the body and the tenketsu. Requirements: Chidori Training; Shape Points: 24
  10. ... ................................... ........................................................................ This is the description for that other jutsu.
  11. Pretty sure Tsu already made this. Might want to reach out to him or see if you can find it.
  12. "The chosen climate may have its duration increased by 1 turn, once per battle". Right now it kinda can apply to any climate, as written.
  13. This conversation has run absolutely wild. Okay, so Cntrstrk wanted this to apply to a single climate effect, 1 time per battle. That means, the first time you would make the effect while whatever piece gear this is on is equipped, then you would get +1 turn. I agree with this. It lets you keep it cheap, and if you want to have it work more than once, buy a whole suit of armor with this on it, and you can bust this effect once for each piece of armor. That being said, Yurane's pricing here is ridiculous. We don't need to try and future proof this behind a tremendously huge number when the parameters are hard-locked to 1 Climate. So, make this a once per battle thing (I couldn't care less if you make it so it can stack with itself. If you want to pop this 9 times and have 10 turns of a climate, go for it, but be prepared to have somebody pop a diff climate and wipe your work off the field.) per instance of the attribute, and then make the cost of this 3x, with x being the cost of 1 turn of the chosen climate. This would make Heavy Rain cost you 270, which is reasonable for 1 bonus turn of Heavy Rain in a battle. But it would make Blizzard cost you 450 for that one extra turn... and so on and so forth up until somebody decided to make this for some ungodly 500 cost climate and it wound up costing 1500 per turn. Savvy? Spruce this up and I'll slap an app.
  14. No, actually I was the one in the wrong. Approved.
  15. Genjutsu archetypes aren't activated per se. They're inherent effects of genjutsu similar to how elements are inherent to the ninjutsu.
  16. The Uchiha clan is full. You'll have to pick a different clan.
  17. Concentration: The argument you use doesn't really jive with me, mostly because you could make it about just about any piece of any clan. Gentle Fist is super disadvantageous to Hyuga who want to do Ninjutsu, for example. Having concentration is still beneficial to a nin or tai focused character. While all clans should have room for customization, there should also be aspects to clans that unite them, and some more than others. Being a ninja who uses their powers to subvert other people's consciousness and implant their own could be something that incentivizes having Concentration. I think it may cause additional clutter, however I'm also an arbiter of canonicity and "fun"-ness in addition to game balance, and that is why I continue the discussion. I am not saying you must include such a mechanic, but I would like to see how the rest of staff feels about the subject. Elements: I do... not. It was pretty early when I wrote this and I think I used elements to segue into my point about bloodlines, and just thought it was funny how meta that stuff is. In fact, I would be against a rule like that, since it would only specifically affect ninjutsu and for flavor reasons. Nah. Bloodlines: So, my big concern here is still a flavor thing, but it's a bigger one. It's hard to suspend disbelief if for instance a Yamanaka who for some reason had Sharingan took over a person, and then activated their Sharingan. That's just absurd. (And actually impossible with the wording, really the issue is with jutsu, and if a Yamanaka had say "steel release" or whatever, I dunno.) But by the same token, would it be reasonable for a Yamanaka who took over an Uchiha to activate and use their Sharingan? These are things that were never explored in the canon. Hell, we don't ever really see Ino fight while she's taken someone over.
