Appearance:

• Katsuyu is an enormous entity whose true size is unknown. In fact, unlike other summons which may be multiple in number as well as vary in size, the slugs summoned by contracted summoners are all portions of the same entity. At this stage, Katsuyu is similar in size to a horse.
 
She predominantly white in color with three blue streaks that run vertically down the middle and side of her body from her head and tapering off at her tail. Her optical tentacles have a slight tint of grey to them and she also has two sensory tentacles on either side of her mouth.

 

Personality:

• Katsuyu is quiet and quite polite, and compared to other legendary summons, rather subservient to its summoner. She uses traditional honorifics to address her summoners as well as others she communicates with. While she may seem timid, she is actually quite brave and jovial, often joking around with the summoners she has developed a deep rapport with.

Description: The slime excreted by Katsuyu has a wide array of abilities. It keeps her body well hydrated outside of the damp home of Shikkotsu Forest and acts as a thin barrier that absorbs impact. This give Katsuyu an edge to take stronger hits, while being able to heal herself and allies.

Path of the Medic | Cost: -1

Description: The road to becoming a Medical Shinobi is a long and difficult process. It takes a great amount of time to study Medical Jutsu, as the type of chakra used is quite different from that used to mold into Elemental Jutsu. To heal is considerably more difficult than it is to destroy. Those who go down this path sacrifice one type of strength in order to build up another.
Effect:  This character no longer gains damage modifiers from their Ninjutsu stat. Whenever this character uses a Medical Ninjutsu they gain +x Evasion for one turn, where the value of x is equal to 2% of the Medical Ninjutsu's base cost for every 100 Concentration the character has.

Chakra Control: The skill "Chakra Training" no longer has a training requirement. The first rank of this skill is free.


RP Guide:
- A character that follows the Path of the Medic likely understands the fragility of life, and seeks to preserve it. Though not all medic-nin are caring, it is very likely that a shinobi who has begun to follow the path of medical ninjutsu is and does care for others immensely. Intelligence is something which is for the most part required to be a Medical Ninja, and likewise, curiosity into medical practices and surgical procedures is likely.

The Path of the Advanced Medic | Cost: -1

Description: After years of training in the art of medicine, the Medical Ninja has an easier time diagnosing and treating their patients. These medical ninja have devoted all of their power to saving lives and healing others. Because of this, their battle capabilities are much lower than the average shinobi. This is a path for the devoted healer.
Effect: Medical Ninjutsu gain +1% base healing for every forty (40) points in the user's Ninjutsu stat.


Anatomical Mastery:
Medical Genius: At each ninja rank the user may chose two (2) status effects, to a total of eight (8) at Sennin rank. Status effects with a variable cost or a maximum duration of one (1) turn may not be chosen. When using a Medical Ninjutsu that only heals Health, this character may choose to spend 1.5x Chakra to remove a single turn of one of their chosen status effects that their target is inflicted with. The value of x is equal to the cp cost of the status effect being removed.

Description: Medical ninjutsu requires countless hours of practice and study. Even the most basic form of medical ninjutsu can be the difference between life and death. While some dabble, others perfect this science with a degree of focus that borders on obsession.

Effect: May learn Medical Ninjutsu Techniques. The maximum rank of Medical technique that can be learned is equal to your rank in this skill (1; Genin, 2; Chunin, etc.). Characters who do not possess "Path of the Medic" can only learn the first rank of this skill.
Requirement:

• Rank 2: Path of the Medic, Level 20
• Rank 3: Path of the Advanced Medic, Level 40

• Rank 4: Path of the Advanced Medic, Level 60

 

Savior | Cost: -1

Description: Sometimes it is not good enough to be reactive, at times you must be proactive in protecting your team. The selfless action of standing in front of an attack for a teammate is the most straightforward proactive action you can take to protect someone.
Effect: Once per team battle you may choose to take an attack in place of your ally without need for any rolls. Apply all armors against this attack regardless of if it is supposed to bypass armor or not. When you take the hit, you gain a +100 to Defense. Cannot be used against Genjutsu.

Effect: User permanently gains 100 to their Chakra stat.

Acid techniques deal an additional 20% total damage to constructs (barriers, shields, clones, etc.) and ignore 20% of all Defense onuses given from items, rounded in favor of the user. Effect: Opponent suffers 4 turns of "Choking" and 1 turn of "Poison; 300". Response Phase Techniques have a +35% chance to fail against this technique.
Description: With a slightly different mixture of chakra to natural acid, the Slug is able to create a gaseous version of they're sticky acid. While this gas does not have the same corrosive ability as it's sticky variant, it can be just as dangerous when inhaled. The acid immediately begins breaking down the lungs and esophagus, making breathing difficult. Once inhaled, it may also enter the bloodstream and cause severe internal damage as a poison.

Zesshi Nensan (II)| Tongue Tooth Sticky Acid | 舌歯粘酸

Type: Ninjutsu [Acid | Slug]

Cost: 340 Chakra
Effects: This technique deals 60 damage each turn for 3 turns and inflicts "Destroy Item". The user’s Ninjutsu modifier is applied on the first turn, and on the following turns deals unmodified damage. When damaging Barriers, and Shields generated by techniques, this technique deals 1.5x its damage.
Description: Of all the offensive maneuvers in the arsenal of a slug, none is better known than the Zesshi Nensan technique. Both slugs and their summoners have utilized this technique to defend themselves from those that would do them harm. Naturally, a slug produces powerful, acidic enzymes capable of breaking down and burning most types of matter. It is said that these acids produced in the stomach can burn through even the strongest armors. The slugs of Shikkotsu Forest have passed the ability to produce these acids on to the summoners that they trust most. Tongue Tooth Sticky Acid is thick and clings as it burns tenaciously, capable of disintegrating flesh, wood, and steel.

Tenshi no Kekkai III | Angelic Ward III 
Type: Ninjutsu [Medical]
Rank: Jounin
Cost: 320 Chakra
Effect: The target gains a shield with 320 Health. This shield does not reduce damage but instead negates Status Effects. Reduce the health of this shield by 1.5xy, where x is the cost of the status effect being prevented and y is the number of turns. This shield can only negate turns of Status Effects that are equal to or less than it's remaining health. The user may choose which status effects are negated. This shield lasts for 4 turns or until destroyed.
Description: By leaving an imprint of medical chakra, the target is encased in a thin layer of chakra. This chakra does not absorb impact, but prevents the targets flesh from being burned, or cut, among many other things.

Yousei no Kekkai III | Fairy Ward III 
Type: Ninjutsu [Medical]
Rank: Jounin
Cost: 220 Chakra
Effect: Heal the target for 180 health. The next technique of Jounin rank or less used against the target of this technique is considered to have a fail chance of 40-10x%. X is equal to the ninja rank of the technique being used. If that technique already has a fail chance, it is increased by 40-10x%. Usable twice per battle.
Description: The user heals their target a little bit, and leaves an imprint of curative chakra which may protect them in the future.

Description: Forming the seals for this technique, the shinobi's hands begin to glow a light shade of green. Similar to the Mystical Palm technique, the medical ninja passes their hands over the target. While wounds are not necessarily healed, other traumatic or crippling conditions are removed.

Type: Ninjutsu [Medical]

Heal: 150 Health
Effect: The user may choose to pay an additional 150 chakra to increase the base amount of health healed by 150 points.
Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury.

Gyaku Kuchiyose No Jutsu | Reverse Summoning Technique | 逆口寄せの術

Type: Ninjutsu [Void | Hijutsu; Summons]

Rank: Chūnin

Cost: x Chakra (See Summoning Rules)

Effect: When determining the cost of this technique, the user of this technique must roll a 50-sided dice. This roll is treated as if it were a Summoning Roll, with the user's Summoning Level being treated as their rank. The user's level is treated as if it were equal to the target's when using this technique. The target of this technique negates any unresolved physical attacks that would target them in their next Response Phase. The maximum rank of technique that may be negated by this technique is equivalent to the result of the Summoning Roll (i.e. 61-100; Genin, 101-130; Chūnin, etc) This technique may only target characters that possess the skill 'Contract Manager' that relates to the user. This technique may be used 1 time per battle.

Description: When a shinobi enters into a contract with a group of animals to work in unison, that contract is a two way road. The ninja is capable of summoning any of the animals they are contracted with provided they have the chakra to do so, but that shinobi is also bound to that family of animals. This jutsu is the opposite of the Summoning Technique, which allows animals to summon their contracted shinobi. Though it is most often used to transfer a shinobi over long distances when needed, it can also be used for quick evasive action and to protect their summoner from harm.

Katsuyu Daibunretsu | Slug Great Division | 蛞蝓大分裂
Type: Ninjutsu [Hijutsu; Slugs]
Rank: Jōnin
Cost: 10x Chakra
Effect: The user of this technique must be a level 4 Summon. When determining the cost of this technique ‘x’ is equivalent to the number of clones created by this technique and may never equate to a value greater than 30. The user of this technique creates ‘x’ clones. Clones created by this technique have statistics equivalent to the user’s current statistics divided by ‘x’ and gain Phases any time the user would gain Phases. When this technique is performed, the user of this technique is removed from the battlefield until this technique’s effects end, at which time the user’s current Health, Chakra, and Stamina are set at the sum of the remaining clones, which are then destroyed. The maximum duration for this technique is 4 turns.
Description: A power unique to Katsuyu, the Slug Great Division technique allows her to be in many places at once. Naturally boneless, Katsuyu is capable of breaking down her form through use of her chakra. In this way, she creates smaller duplicates of herself which have a fraction of her power. Katsuyu often uses this technique like shinobi utilize clones, though unlike clones, when the smaller portions of herself are destroyed Katsuyu as a whole is harmed by the damage. This ability is often paired with Katsuyu's medical skill and her ability to channel the chakra of her summoner, so that large groups may be healed with swiftness.

Katsuyu; Mōryōjika | Katsuyu; Immense Network Healing | 蛞蝓・網療治夥
Type: Ninjutsu [Hijutsu; Slugs]
Rank: Sennin [Kinjutsu; Powerful]
Cost: 30 Chakra

Effect: [Coalescence x; Katsuyu; Mōryōjika] This technique may not be performed without its coalescence condition being met. When this technique is used, ‘x’ targets are healed 30 Health. The Medical Ninjutsu modifiers of all users of this technique are combined, and divided evenly among all targets. Any user of this technique may elect to add an additional 400 Chakra to the base cost of this technique to increase the base amount healed by all targets by 100. This technique may never target the user.

Requirement: In order to learn and use this technique, the character must be the level 4 summon Katsuyu or own the skill Contract Manager: Katsuyu.
Description: The strongest jutsu in Katsuyu's arsenal, the Immense Network Healing technique allows Katsuyu to work as a conduit for her summoner's chakra, allowing them to work in tandem to heal injured allies from long distances if necessary. By capitalizing on the link shared by Katsuyu and ninja who bear the Strength Of One Hundred Seal, they are able to channel chakra between each other. Because of this channeling, all those receiving healing by this technique, receive an equal amount of restorative chakra applied to their wounds.
